Probably the cutest place in Covington. Grab a scoop and walk around the town square! My favorite is the Strawberry Cheesecake Ice Cream. You can also get fudge or a few regular candies. The selection of Pez Dispensers was good, too. Most were for decoration, though. Make sure to ask what the employees like!

Whether it's a hot or cold day in Covington ice cream at Scoops is a must. When you walk inside you feel like you're in an ice cream shop. There is limited seating inside but they also have chairs you can sit in outside. On the way to order your ice cream they have candy and miscellaneous items for sale. The service is always quick and friendly. My go to order is Damon's Delight. I love banana dessert so this milkshake is perfect! But there is so much more to order and try. They have loads of different flavored ice cream which you can have in a milkshake, cone or cup. While I love my milkshake my kids always enjoy their ice cream in a cone or cup. You can't go wrong no matter what you order and I always look forward to my next visit.

Have come here all my life, definitely so many memories here! ***LOCATION*** Right on the square. There is always plenty of parking and easy to walk around. Parking is always free :) ***ATMOSPHERE*** I love the vibe, you literally feel like a kid in a candy shop. All of the Scoops that I have been to have been the same, but it is always just a fun atmosphere. I love the old fashioned candy and the colorful inside! ***STAFF*** The staff are always so nice here! ***ICE CREAM*** I always get chocolate with rainbow sprinkles. I am actually not the biggest ice cream fan. I like milkshakes but if I am going to get a scoop, I only like very specific flavors. Their chocolate with rainbow sprinkles is such a classic and always good! ***CONCLUSION*** A great spot in Covington and always a hit with everyone. Scoops is such a cute place! They have a variety of candy and ice cream to choose from. I got two scoops - the fresh strawberry and banana pudding flavors. The ice cream is creamy and just the perfect softness (if that's the correct term lol). Really yummy. The staff was really sweet as well. If you're going because you want to try Ian's favorite flavor - it's the banana pudding!

Have a sweet tooth and are stuck between coming here and eating ice cream out of the carton at home? Well, you should come here. I love ice cream (like can seriously finish a carton in one night love) and I'm indecisive so I appreciated that the guy working let me have multiple, judgment-free samples before my big commitment. Of course, I had to choose two because who can narrow it down to just a single flavor with all those options? I got chocolate peanut butter and another similar one- I forgot the name, but it also had chocolate and peanut butter because what better combination exists? Anyways the service was quick and everyone was friendly. Options- plentiful, ice cream- flavorful and I left very full!

I love coming here for ice cream, try to come every few weeks. If you can't find a seat inside, then walk outside to the rocking chairs they have out front. I mean you are in the south, eating an ice cream cone on the front porch in a rocking chair.....Who doesn't love that???? As long as this place stays open, I will continue to come back. read more

My family and I were so ready to try their ice cream, but once we got in line, I saw one of the workers blowing his nose with gloves on. I was thinking he'd take off the gloves, wash his hands, put new gloves on etc. or something like that, but instead he continued serving the next customers with the same gloves. The absolute best ice cream shop I've ever been in. The only thing I didn't care for was that they don't have a Coke shake. They have a coke float but not a shake! Told them to make me a Coke float and mix it up into a shake and they wouldn't do it. Such a shame! Went from a five star to a two star. read more

Typical "summer-Friday-night" busy but the store is not set up properly to move the line quickly. The flavors are not listed anywhere so unless you knew the flavors ahead of time, you had to wait to move to the front counter to choose your flavor. Lots of servers were trying to help people at the end of the line, but no one knew what they wanted. Huge portion for a "one scoop" serving, esp if you get a cone! read more

Great little ice cream shop in the small town of Covington (45 minutes outside of Atlanta). How did i end up there? Our guide for the Vampire Diaries tour told us the ice cream was very good and the cast goes there quite often. After the tour, I just happened to be craving a salted caramel ice cream so I went there. The shop was absolutely adorable with decorative pez dispensers lined up above the doorway. Though they didn't have salted caramel, they had the "turtle" which was close enough for me. They had a lot of unique ice cream flavors as well as chocolates, candies, and caramel apples (large selection). Perfect place to satisfy your sweet cravings. read more

The atmosphere is amazing and the location being in the square of historic covington is great. The candynus top notch and unique. The ice cream on the other hand is just average ag best if i were to rate the ice cream alone its 3 stars. Love this place recommend for the family not for different ice cream. read more

Yummy!! Such a cute little shop on the square in Covington, GA. The outside is very quaint. There are rocking chairs you can sit on and face the square. This place has a great selection of treats including sundaes, shakes, floats, ice cream, yogurt, candy, and chocolate. I had a single scoop of pralines and cream on a sugar cone and my fiancé had the peanut butter cup on a sugar cone. Both were very tasty. The single scoop was huge. Once we got to the cones, we had had enough sugar though (both of our ones had a ring of frosting on the top). Next time maybe I will have a root beer float! read more

Gave the free COVID-19 topping a second chance. Went to Scoops at around 7ish on a friday night. I assumed it wouldn't be busy, but there were several people hanging around outside and the line was long, but fast. Please note that only employees were wearing masks, but customers were not. Everyone was staring at me and my boyfriend, because we were the only one actually caring about the pandemic. There was several children inside scoops, so be extra careful as they, alongside many, did not follow social distancing. I saw maybe two signs of social distancing recommendation. I was following social distancing (6 feet apart), but everyone else lined up as if COVID-19 does not exist. Earlier today, I did make a trip to Mall of Georgia where several stores strongly enforce limiting the amount of customers to a certain amount (for example limit of 6 people in store) and there would be someone outside allowing customers in but checking how many people were inside the store. This process should be adopted at Scoops. Again, Free COVID-19 topping if you come here. read more

This place was highly recommended so when I passed it in the plaza, I had to stop. First off, it's down right adorable. Perfect old timey ice cream place. Colorful, theme decorated and the ice cream flavors are the perfect combinations. We sat in rocking chairs outside eating out peanut butter chip double scoop and watched the cars pass. What an incredible place. Perfect reminder of day's gone by yet it actually still exists. Any kind of candy and homemade dessert you can imagine including the ever elusive (for me) hand dipped cherries. The owner was so nice and you could tell Scoops was her passion and heart. It was great seeing local teenagers working in the store and to find everything so clean. Perfect spot after a nice dinner. Great for kids but also great for date night. Super easy to grab some treats for friends and family for those "just because" occasions. Can't wait to come back. read more

This place on a Spring or Summer day when it isnt super busy in the square is a perfect little "get away" from the hustle and bustle. My work team and I came here and we were served really fast. The ice cream was really good and they have indoor and outdoor seating. It was a beautiful day so we sat on the chairs outside and just talked and laughed. I had the Sea Turtle on a chocolate dipped waffle cons which was delicious (if u love caramel this is for u). One of my coworkers had Pralines and the other Strawberry. Oh, Scoops, how I love you. I have never had something from this shop that didn't make me melt just a little. All the ice creams are delicious. They have dairy free/ vegan options too. All the vintage candy is fun to gander at while you're trying to make a decision about what to have. I recommend an affogato and a truffle for dessert after dinner on the square. read more

Really tasty ice cream. They have adorable rocking chairs to sit on outside and overlook the square. You can also buy fancy chocolates inside and other candies and sweets. We each got ice cream in a homemade waffle cone! read more

At that point it felt completely intentional. We were standing there patiently, making it obvious we were ready to order, and they just continued on as if we didn't exist. It is honestly beyond frustrating. Basic customer service is the bare minimum, and we couldn't even get that. Being ignored like that is completely unacceptable and incredibly disrespectful.

The delivery was fast and smooth and the hot foods stayed hot and the sushi stayed fresh. While in Covington I had to order their Covington roll and even though I like my sushi sashimi style I really enjoyed it. The fish was fresh and the whole roll just melted in my mouth with every bite. The rainbow roll and California roll were good too! We ordered a large bowl of steak and noodles and it was a good portion. You get plenty of noodles and steak and the steak was cooked perfectly and was very tender and flavorful. The pork gyozas were also delicious. The pork was flavorful and it was perfectly fried. The crab rangoon was amazing! I've never had a crab random so creamy and oozing with filling. It was definitely a favorite and a must order every time! We really enjoyed everything we ordered and when we visit Covington again we will definitely stop by to try more of their menu items.

This place is like the "Old Country Store" part of Cracker Barrel except good and with ice cream. And without the terrible restaurant part where the people working there look like they're about to die. On the contrary! This place has the hippest and youngest kids in town! Because candy! And ice cream! And who doesn't like candy and ice cream? Communists! Because you won't find any of THAT sort in this wonderful, yet quaint-like little shop! My friends and I came here to grab some dessert after dinner. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and willing to accommodate me especially since I have a nut allergy. Everything was moderately priced and I enjoyed the vast selection of ice cream flavors. I would love to go back to Scoops again in the future to try some of their other products. read more

What's not to love??!! They've got more ice cream flavors than I knew existed. Walls and walls and shelves and shelves of edible heaven. You can't NOT go to this place if you're near the covington square. Sooooo good. read more
