I really enjoyed the bottomless brunch here. For $50+, it includes unlimited alcoholic drinks and food from their bottomless menu. The server was friendly and everyone was hustling during the 90 minutes you get for bottomless brunch. We went in because we saw a Norwegian flag outside during the World Cup and decided to eat there to support a Norwegian restaurant while Norway was playing Brazil. We also chatted briefly with the owner and also a really friendly gentleman who was there watching the game. It was a fun and calm environment. I would definitely go back for brunch, for a glass of wine or a date night. The restaurant is nicely decorated, and all the food we had was yummy. We had deviled eggs, a salmon Benedict, and a few other bites, and everything was very tasty. I think it is a great value. I did not drink any alcohol, but I did get unlimited orange juice. The menu caught hubs' attention so we decided to give their brunch a try. After reading some of the reviews knew we had to give the Scopo burger a try and we were glad we did. Well seasoned burger - very good. Kiddo ordered the chicken and waffles and hubs ordered the charcuterie fritata - they both enjoyed their dishes as well. Service was friendly and the environment was comfortable. Hubs really enjoyed the 80s/90s music selection that was playing during our visit. We got the crudo and crispy cauliflower for appetisers. The crudo was okay, but tasted more like a sashimi coz the citrus flavour was barely there. They had two pieces of Sicilian oranges on 2 of the 10 pieces of crudo. The crispy cauliflower and the dressing was just okay - nothing to write home about. For the second course/mains, we got a lasagna and lobster ravioli. My husband liked the ravioli which I found a bit bland. I got the lasagna which had an overpowering sweet carrot flavour. The portion sizes were just right given they were heavy/cheesy dishes. We both got the chocolate torte for dessert which was alright. I didn't care much for it. In fact we only shared one of the two we ordered. They also served a glass of cava as a part of the fixed menu which was nice. Service: The staff was super friendly and attentive. Came for the sf restaurant week deal: 3 course set menu for $60. ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT!! The first course was a super refreshing salad which set the tone for the rest of the meal. The main course was either steak or a vegetarian lasagna, and I chose the lasagna. This thing was HUGE, absolutely worth the price. Delicious sauce and came with a side of garlic bread. I sampled the mashed potatoes and spinach that came along with the steak and they were super flavorful and filling as well. The real star of the dinner was the chocolate torte for dessert, served with a side of whipped cream. It was super rich and decadent, almost like a slab of dark chocolate ganache, and let me tell you I will be having dreams about this cake for years to come. As a frequent rider of the 1 bus, I've ridden and walked by Scopo Divino too many times, but never went in. Finally one Friday night, we tried it. There's a pretty good happy hour special every night before 6pm--$1.75 oysters! 24 oysters per table with the purchase of a bottle of wine, or 6 oysters per glass of wine* We got a nice bottle of champagne (happy hour discount by a little) and devoured the oysters. We got 4 total for 2 people because we weren't trying to get full before dinner, but will come back and get a bottle and max out 24 oysters for sure one day. They have a cool looking bar and lush comfy seating and lots of tables both inside and out. The bar looks neat too, as do walls. The decor is kinda dark academia but in a more welcoming way. I'll lead with the strengths. -Wonderful ambience, furniture, and music. -Delicious food (when you can get it) Now the weaknesses... I came with the party of four for the bottomless brunch. It's pricey (for me, but that's subjective) after mandatory 30% tip and tax, but we believed it would be worth it. We opted for the 90-minute bottomless brunch. We arrived 8 minutes after our reservation time, but thankfully that wasn't an issue as they have a 15-minute grace period. We were seated right away, but we didn't get our first drink order until 20 minutes after we seated, and our first food order came later. Between food and drink orders, large amounts of time passed. After approximately an hour had passed, we had still only been served 1 drink and a few sides. I think the idea is for customers to forget the time and just enjoy eating and drinking, but with the way things were going it felt more like we had to be vigilant to get our orders, which made it difficult for me to relax. It's a nice place I can tell, but the experience ultimately wound up being a bit frustrating. I'm not convinced we were able to get the value promised out of this particular deal and I don't think I could recommend it to anybody else - but please note that this is my first and only time experiencing it. As I type this, a waiter came to confirm drink orders, and it was as though mine had never been placed even though I've been waiting for it for almost 20 minutes. Bummer. Edit: This review has been a bit of a rollercoaster, as we had a couple of moments I was not thrilled about (one in particular being when a member of our party casually and politely questioned staff about the delays and was met with a defensive response rather than an explanation or an assurance that they would be flexible with the time limit), but in the end the service did improve. There were some additional minor issues here and there but I can't deny the deliciousness of the food nor the wonderful atmosphere. I feel my review of 3 stars is still fair, as this is my one and only experience at this establishment and all I have as a reference point. You may have a better experience! read more

One Star -- Apparently Paying Your Bill Isn't Enough Went to Scorpo Divino for brunch today with a party of 8. We had a great time, good food, good vibes, no issues whatsoever while we were there. Ahead of time, we were required to prepay for 6 guests, which included a mandatory 20% gratuity. The remaining 2 guests paid the day of, also with the same 20% tip. Everyone was paid for. Period. The boss forced the waiters to call us. Then -- TWO HOURS AFTER WE LEFT -- we received a phone call from the restaurant yelling at us, accusing us of leaving without tipping, and demanding our credit card information over the phone so they could charge us more. Nothing says "professional hospitality" like calling customers after the fact to shake them down. If your team can't track payments or read receipts, that's an internal problem -- not something you fix by harassing guests who already paid. Accusing customers of skipping gratuity when it was clearly included is wildly unprofessional and honestly embarrassing. Brunch was fun. The follow-up phone call? Completely unhinged. The servers are amazing, just the asshole owner is who we blame. read more

A wine bar/café that also serves some beer that has sort of an old-timey European café vibe to it. I came here during happy hour and sat at the bar. I thought their happy hour specials were good and the service from the bartender was great. Great oyster specials too! I came here when my parents and I were in the area cause I just wanted to grab a beer and have a seat for a little bit. I looked over their menu and ordered some oysters along with one of the local craft beers. Really enjoyed my limited time here. I even found out that they were really known for their brunch here on the weekends. I would totally love to come back and experience that. We came here with a bigger group (6) and 1 toddler. The outside seating is nice, but somewhat of a weak happy hour. The owner is like a hawk and pushes more when you say no. I think what ultimately got us was the rudeness when it came to pulling the utensils out of my friend's kids hands when he was cleaning up. If anything, he didn't have to play tug of war with a toddler but come back in a few mins to get the utensils as the parents would have gotten them. This is a well behaved kid too. Overall, decent wine but something off with the energy. Edit: the owners response is a complete distortion of the facts of what occurred. We will make sure to never step foot in this establishment. The four of us was welcomed in n shown to a table right next to the band which was fun since we interacted with them between songs and was entertained by their stories. I thank fellow Yelpers for helping me find this gem of a restaurant! My husband and I come to a play in SF every month or so and it was my turn to pick a restaurant. I had Scopo Divino in my SF collection and the timeline worked for a nice walk to and from the restaurant. I was able to secure a 6pm reservation on a. Friday for bar seating. The couch seating was available but since we were a two, I wanted to leave that space open for any four tops that might be looking for a resy. We were warmly greeted and our table was waiting. We ended up trying three of the four bar bites and opted for water (it was a lot of walking :) 1. Lobster Arancini- perfectly crispy and not oily. Sauce paring was great and I enjoyed every bite. I wish there were four so we didn't have to fight over the third ball. 2) beef and chorizo empanadas: how did they get that crust so fluffy? Excellent from first hire to the last. 3) chorizo stuffed dates: sweet and savory rolled in to one. 4) the seasonal salad with oranges and other yummies. We ordered this after we finished the above three for a nice cap to dinner. I appreciate the order that the bar bite items came out. They were thoughtful and ended with the sweeter of the items. The salad was a great end to the meal. Overall, it was nice to share all of these morsels and not feel over stuffed. Everything was balanced and delicious. SUNDAY BRUNCH REVIEW * For a sunny Sunday, we took advantage of the outdoor seating to take in the rays and comment on the people passing by. Our server and the owner were so lovely. They helped us through this brilliant $55/ person bottomless food & drink brunch. Southern flair I would say everything we got but the grits (sorry I don't think anywhere in CA has good grits) was well seasoned and great portions. We got a little bit of everything and also switched up our cocktails with each round. They are strict about chugging (it's even on the menu) and the 90 minute service, but it worked for our schedule and it wasn't super busy yet so it was a good experience. I don't understand how this place isn't more busy?! They have amazing new orleans bottomless brunch (food & drinks) for only $50 per person. My friend coordinated a girls holiday brunch for ~12 people and they were able to accommodate all of us on a Sunday. You could tell how hard they were trying to keep up with the orders in a timely manner and they even let us stay 2 hours (despite the 1.5 hr time limit) to account for people in the party arriving at staggered times. My favorites were the beignets, omelette, and chicken and waffles. I also loved the variety in drinks and got to try the mimosa, cherry bellini, kir royale, and elderflower cocktail (my favorite). I will say that the mimosas were heavy on the orange juice pour, so some people were just requesting the champagne only by the end. This place has been on my list for a while, and the perfect opportunity came up to try it with a couple colleagues for SF Restaurant Week. Unfortunately, one of my colleagues was unable to make it on the last day of Restaurant Week, so we decided to go for happy hour the Monday after. I was the first of my party to arrive, and although Resy only allowed me to select an outdoor table for the reservation, the staff were able to accommodate us at a nice table inside away from the live band so that it wouldn't be too loud. Much to our delight, the Restaurant Week menu was still available the Monday after! We all opted to order the set meal off the special menu, and each of us got the 8 oz ribeye steak as our entree. We also got the half-glass wine pairings to accompany the entree and dessert courses. Everything was delicious! We were very satisfied, and the best part is we were informed the steak is on their regular menu in case we want to order it again sometime! The staff provided exceptional service throughout the meal and after. They checked on us regularly and ensured our water glasses were never empty. Even after we finished the meal and paid, they didn't rush us as we lingered a while to continue our conversation. This place far exceeded my expectations, and I look forward to coming again for more great wine and food. read more

Came here on a Sunday around 3:30pm for oyster happy hour (3-6pm daily). Easy to get a spot. One of the only spots in the city I've found to have sunday oyster happy hour! $1.50 oysters (up to 24) with a purchase of a bottle of wine. So of course we had to get a bottle of wine and 24 oysters. Oysters were a bit small, but good- wish we would have ordered more than 24! Got a white wine which was good too. We also got some type of mushrooms on focaccia ($17)- which was good, but definitely on the heavier side so glad we shared it. Overall, happy we came- service was pretty quick. This was our go to restaurant for great wine, food, and service. The ambiance is warm and the service is personable (shout out to Paul and the young tall server with dark hair) . We used to come here every couple weeks for their rib eye steak and wine. Unfortunately the menu recently changed and the New York steak that replaced the Ribeye is disappointing. It is dry, basic flavor, and a total let down. We might come back once more to try the other new items but otherwise we will wait until the Ribeye is back before coming again. My first experience was a disaster. I purchased Eggs Benedict but the muffins were not toasted, the eggs were on strips of bacon, not Canadian bacon. But what was the 'frosting on the cake' was that the entire entree tasted like a dirty grill. The entire restaurant smelled like a dirty grill and I should have following my nose. $20 wasted. The only downside to that is that the bus stops are very close and happy hour is also prime commute time but it was fine. The food was awesome.
