I came here as a child in the 80s. I brought my oldest who is now 22 and her younger siblings have been coming here as well. Im sad Dr Chee retired this year but his care was always excellent. Don't just a book by its cover. If you drive by this location, you might worry about if this dentist is legit or sketchy.... but one you visit, let me out you at ease, I trust him. I brought my daughter here before and initially that was my thoughts..... is this place gonna be ok? It looks a bit dated and not like some other places with higher tech or contemporary tools. In the end, I don't care about how the building looks, I don't care how the interior looks. And don't let me make u change your mind because of my words. No toys in the waiting room, no fancy stuff her n there but I'm good! You are welcome to see my pictures enclosed. What I want to say is that, after I checked in. The lovely lady is so good with my kids on their x rays. I really got to say, my daughter was 100% comfortable at age 3, and she was able to put my daughter so relaxed and calm and within mins the x rays were done. My son is 2! Almost 3, he is more than a handful, and again the lady did his x rays with flying colors. I just don't know how Then during my kids visit with the dentist, Scot W., He was very informative, kind, professional, and understanding. He was able to just make me feel good by teaching me and telling me things that I should know, shows me the x rays and explains the present and the future of what he foresees. He then finishes the process efficiently and my kids leave happy! I just want to say thank you doctor Scot, you make my kids dental appointments easy and painless! You know someone is gem if he has been great for 18 years! We've been with Dr. Scot Watase for our children in Montebello for their entire childhood. Dr. Scot is consistently detailed and communicative. He tells us ahead of the kids' dental development so we know what preventive measures to take. One of my kids had 8 cavities, crowns and all, in his baby teeth. But he has zero cavity as an almost-adult today. Thanks to the preventive work of Dr. Scot! Can't recommend him enough! Front desk receptionist is unprofessional and not educated with dental insurances. I had treatment completed with my son and at check out she "guessed" my total, according to her, she didn't know any of my coverages so she could call to confirm at a later a time. what?! I have tried different dentist office for children and I have to say I really like this one . I have gone in the past to the ones where they have games for kids and all that, and although this one doesn't have that I really enjoyed this place. The staff is friendly, Dr Watase is friendly and takes his time to explain everything to you and your child. His staff and him make you feel at ease. I would hands down pick this place over those Children Dental places that are over priced and not make you feel like your family. They have their own little parking lot. I just cannot express how much I like this place. today was my 5 year olds check up! My son is definitely scared of the dentist, just like me lol. The second we walked in, we were greeted with a big smile from Cathy. She's super sweet. Then one of the assistants, Cindy took us back. Cindy was awesome, she took her time explaining everything to my baby, she made him laugh and really put him at ease. Then came Dr. Watase. He also has great chairside manners. I can barely get my son to open his mouth for me to brush his teeth, but Dr. Watase was great at communicating and eventually my son opened wide and allowed the doctor to do his check up and cleaning without a problem! My favorite part of this office is that its not like the big huge offices in the area that see a ton of patients and have horrible wait times. This is a family owned office where everyone knows your name and treats you like family. Im definitely coming back here! read more

I had the privilege of working with Dr. Scot and his staff for 3 years! I've had an amazing experience with this office. You will always find the fun and laughter with the staff. The staff works very well with children, Dr. Scot has done amazing work on me and now my daughter has been going to him since she was one years old! They are like family! I've been coming to this dentist for over 10 years with my family and have never been disappointed by the service. All of my siblings have also come here. The staff is so friendly and remember us by name. They are always willing to do anything to make you feel comfortable. My autistic brother had a very hard time at first because he is scared of the dentist and someone looking at his mouth, but he comes here and they never make him feel uncomfortable, he knows the routine! Let me start of by saying I am very wary of dentist, (especially for children) but Dr. Watase has been nothing but wonderful with my two boys (ages 5 & 8). Despite really bad past experiences with other dentists, Dr. Watase put me at ease and provided great service. My 5 year old is very afraid of needles but the doctor managed to keep him calm and perform necessary work quickly and efficiently. I am blown away by the professionalism and care by Dr Watase. I have been totally traumatized as a child by dentist, and so I am super careful and picky with who I take my kids to. Dr Watase explains and communicates well. Not just with me, but with my kids too. He extracted one baby molar and my son didn't even know!! He took his time with the lidocaine injection, was very careful my son didn't see the needle, did a few shots and my son didn't even flinched or tensed up. He was very relaxed lying down on that chair!! Dr Watase also did a filling after the extraction. When all is done, my son was surprised his tooth was extracted and he felt nothing.
