This is a review I am putting on YELP I purchased a Silverado from Scott Chevrolet... used with new car warranty. I brought it in in May, I believe. The lifter had broken... something like that. They fixed it within a week. On the test drive they went again. They said the company would have to replace the engine, but it would be a while. They gave me a loaner truck. It was brand new, less than 50 miles on it. After I had put about 6500 miles on it, I had an appointment for an oil change. There was some confusion because it wasn't MY truck. I had explained when I made the appointment, that it was their truck. Not a big deal. After they did the oil change they told me they couldn't give it back to me because it had too many miles on it. They were going to give me a car. I said that wasn't acceptable. I go to the Appalachian Trail, or the PA Wilds, for 5 day hiking trips, virtually living out of my truck...and sleeping in it. The supervisor came over and said he was inclined to not give me anything because of how filthy the truck was, and I had a sleeping bag, clothes, and food in the truck. I said it was dirt... I had just gotten back the night before and was planning on leaving in 2 days for another adventure. He said, if I returned a truck in this condition to a rental agency, I would be charged. I said, I wasn't planning on returning it. I was just bringing it in for an oil change. He said it would cost him $500 to clean it up. I said that it was just dirt! It's not like the body was dented or the seats were torn. He said he couldn't tell. I said I am sorry I got your precious truck dirty. He said he wasn't looking for an apology. I said An apology often goes a long way...You would think someone in your line of work would know that. In the end he agreed to give me a truck, but it wouldn't be ready for a few days, I would have a car in the meantime. He wanted me to transfer my stuff (It was loaded with hiking stuff) to the car. I said no, I would bring it home, unload it, and return. I think he thought I wasn't going to come back. I said, Look, all this stuff is not going to fit in the car. And look at the stuff in the truck bed. Something will likely tear a hole in the seats, and then I would never hear the end of it. He agreed. I took it home, unloaded it, brought it to a car wash. Spent about $10 washing and vacuuming. I returned. He was pleased. After the supervisor left I asked the service guy if, since I saved him $500 do you think he would throw me a couple of hundred? I returned the new car after 500 miles and got another new truck. After about 3500 miles I was told the truck was ready. This was in late August, after more than 3 months. I was told there was something wrong with my brakes. I said, I had just had it inspected before dropping it off, and there was nothing wrong with them then. They had also test driven it after fixing it the first time. And there was nothing wrong with them then. I was told that I would have to spend $1000 to have them fix it. They didn't even acknowledge what I had said. I picked it up without scheduling service and brought it to my mechanic. He explained that when a truck sits around for a little while a tiny bit of rust grows on the pads. That usually comes off after some use. But when it sits for months, as mine had, a lot of rust accumulates and causes damage. So their negligence had caused the problem. He charged me about $530 to fix it. Also, I had one major dent in the truck when I dropped it off. There were several other dents and dings when I picked it up. The parking spaces at the dealership are very close together. Unfortunately, I didn't have pictures, so there is no way I can prove that. I would never bring it to Scott again, except my car guy says I have to for oil change and regular service. Otherwise if there is more warranty work, they will make a big deal about it if I don't have receipts for everything, and will deny the warranty. Gosh they stink. read more

As it isn't the quickest service, the final output exceeded my expectations. Understand I'm giving this business the Benefit of the doubt because cars are dealt with in the order they come. Do not take your vehicle here for service. I had an oil leak in my 2006 H3 about two years ago. They replaced seals and two weeks later I had the same issue and returned my vehicle. I was told that my truck needed a new engine because of engine pressure and miles on my truck (185,000 miles) the cost would be around $5000. I drove my truck home and found a local mechanic (309 Auto, highly recommend). They fixed my oil leak and my H3 has been running great since. I waited two years to write my review in case my truck did need a new engine. My H3 now has 225,000 miles and no oil leak. I've taken a dozen trips to Long Island, several trips to Vermont/Massachusetts and several trips to North Carolina and Georgia with no issue. I recommend getting a second opinion on any of your auto service needs from Scott Chevrolet Cadillac. They are not honest and will try to rip you off. Scott Chevrolet Cadillac, you have my information on file and can contact me if you feel this was an unfair review. I look forward to speaking to you but do not anticipate a phone call. Update: July 2019, I sold my Hummer H3 with 240,000 miles. No oil leak or engine issues. The truck still runs strong and I'm sure the new owner will enjoy it. Scott Chevrolet, you tried to convince me that I needed a new engine and you were wrong. Sorry, I couldn't donate $5000+ to your business for unnecessary repairs. I strongly advise any costumer with major repairs to get a second opinion. As I stated in my original review I urged Scott Chevrolet to contact regarding my review and no one responded as expected. Picked up a brand new fleet vehicle and was basically given my key and told to go away and figure it out . Work for a large company and I know the dealer gets practically nothing to exchange a fleet car. But I live in Allentown and know for a fact that other dealers take the time to familiarize the driver with a new car, set up the apps and connect them to resources. Stay away I went there for service on my car that needed my steering wheel fix due to sound and my car was shaking. I went for one thing and then they came with other issues. Mine you I brought this use car less then 2 months all issue with this car should of been fix before resell it. Anyways so the steering wheel issue was under warranty and wasn't getting no money from me they try to go out they way to find issue out of my warranty. They gave me a breakdown of the prices from use parts to new parts. So I took my issue to my husband and spoke to him and letting him know the issue they claim the car was having . My husband came up with me ask a few questions pick up the vehicle and check on the issue and the part that they said was need. See they didn't know my husband is a mechanic. But why do he need to fix something that's on warranty. Long store short. I didn't need a new rim that they claim cracked in half. A use rim they was charging 329.00 from the junk yard not including labor and a new 629.00 not including labor. My husband went to the junk yard got the same rim with tire for 90 bucks. My husband took that tire and rim off and nothing was wrong with my rim . Start doing your research people they will tell you anything to get money off you. They thought they had a dummy especially because I was a female and didn't think I knew anything about cars. Which I don't but my husband do, customer service guy couldn't look me in the face and looked real dumb . He didn't want to attend to me when he saw me and my husband walking though them doors. Just imagine how many people they got and feeding them bullshit. I would of paid for the same rim that was already on my car and they would claim they replace it shaking my head. I have had several encounters with Scott Collison, and I really can't say enough good things. They are easy to get on the phone, give updates whenever you ask, and are willing to fit you in as best they can. I am one hundred percent confident in their pricing, too, as today I brought what I thought (and even told them) was a complicated problem, and they fixed it for free in 15 minutes. They absolutely could have taken advantage of me thinking it was a bigger deal than it was, and instead I got quick service, a car wash, and zero eye rolls. I'm not sure which one I appreciated more. I will definitely stick with the Scott family of dealerships for future cars, simply because of the service I've received here. read more

The sales lady that I worked with was really cool, not pushy, an all around good sales associate. In the last 5 years I have bought, 1 SUV, I truck and two cars all were Chevys except for my current car. I'm not really new to the car buying experience. This is the first place I have ever been to that the manager was too busy to come back with a negotiating offer. Weird because the sales floor was not packed. Considering we were not so far apart in price that we could not have worked out some sort of a deal. Also, the paper your sales associate gave me that said "KBB trade in value" should have acuratly represented what KBB actually says my vehicle is worth in reference to trade in value. It's almost laughable to be honest. A cut and paste KBB symbol then underneath lines to just write whatever you want. Lmao. BTW, the offer I received was almost 1,000.00 dollars lower than KBB's lowest trade in range for my vehicle. I literally came in today knowing the lowest and highest KBB had for trade in value for my car and looked it up on my phone while I was there just in case I was mistaken. I'm not sure why I needed to sign a paper saying that I was "committed to purchasing a vehicle" while I was there? That paper serves no purpose? If that is a sales tactic it makes no sense to me. I was there "money in hand" or should I say bank approval in hand. I came home and within 30 minutes found the same truck online with 20,000 less miles on it for a better price than you were wanting to go with. I would rather shop local but I wont do buisness with a dealership that wont negotiate at all. ------------------------- EDIT Stopped by today because I had more time to spend. More of the same really. The fair trade range for my car is 11,888 to 13,787. The offer yesterday I thought was 11,000 apparently was 11,500. They had to "call some wholesalers" to see if they can up the trade range, you know to "help me out" 12,000 was the max. Lmao. ( keep in mind, my car does not even have a scratch on it, maticusly maintained at the dealership, with records and according to KBB has a resale value of up to 17,336.00 My Equinox deal was done while I was stationed in Germany, over the phone with a dealership in Doylestown. I bought my truck from a dealership in Fayetteville while I was deployed to Afghanistan. Again, over the phone. I could not come up with a deal at this place after personally going there twice. Lol. Without getting into a long drawn out story the bottom line is this. There are some dealerships that will nickle and dime you to death and take everything that they can from you and then there are places that are fair and make deals that are in the best interest of their buisness and the customer. Scott chevy is a nickel and dime place. Go and find a fair dealership that is going to value your buisness, not only today but in future buisness transactions. read more

Stay far away from the service department. As it turns out, the transfer case in my CTS was locking up because the rear tires were the wrong size and too big. This resulted in a loud "thud" between second and third gear that was blatantly obvious, as you could hear it and feel it shake the whole vehicle. Had the vehicle in here twice for the issue and they told me they couldn't replicate the problem and had done pointless things, like tightening bolts on the drive shaft. They couldn't hear/feel the transfer case locking up? seriously? They went ahead and replaced the driveshaft two times telling me the problem was "solved" it wasn't long before i was done with this place. I took it somewhere else and they solved the matter on the first try. read more

Bought a GM certified 2014 Traverse in 2017 with 22,000 miles on it. All down hill from there. At 37,000 circuit board fried and got stuck 120 miles from home, under warranty so was towed and fixed. At 54,000 miles had to get catalytic convertor replaced, at 81,000 miles complete air conditioning had to be replaced, warranty ran out at 80,000 miles so that was $2400 out the window At 102,000 miles had to have transmission replaced....$5200 out of pocket. I'm now at 108,000 miles and check engine light came on saying that service traction control and loss of engine power....wtf!!!!!!! This car has been the biggest headache of my life I'm a father of 5 young kids...I don't have the time or money to keep fixing this Lemon. I will never buy another car from Scott Chevrolet as the Somehow certified this piece of crap which has cost me almost $10000 total out of pocket in repairs in just under 3 years. My last vehicle was a Kia which finally died at 227,000 miles with only a few minor (less than $200) repairs over the 9 years I owned it. read more

Do NOT take your car here for service!. My CTS needed brake lining. After 5 days still not fixed. The Service Manager Scott never returned calls and they left me high and dry without a rental or my car. JUST AWFUL, STAY AWAY!!! read more

This was my second time using this location to have my car fixed after an accident. The first time was great. The service, the repairs, everything. This past experience was horrible. Not only was I told a 7 day fix but I had to call 3 days in a town after 3 weeks of waiting for my car to be fixed. After I received my car back my stereo button was broken. Which was not damaged during the accident (I also have pictures proving it was fine at their collision shop parking lot). When I brought this to their attention(2 minutes after I got into my car) they informed me that it was from "wear and tear". This confused me unless they pressed the button for three consecutive weeks day in and day out. After numerous calls and attempts for answers I gave up but I am contacting a lawyer now to discuss my options since my car does not have a fully functioning stereo and is not that old of a car. I bought my SRX 9 months ago. I love it and the purchasing experience was the best. Since then, I have been at Scott's for scheduled maintenance. Ted in the service department is great. I call when I'm in town and he always gets my SRX in for an oil change the same day. Each time we're in, we are treated like a valued guest. The man I worked with was pretty knoledgable and easy to work with but the balding man that sits to his right was very Rude and kept butting into our conversation with snide unneeded remarks making me get upset and very uncomfortable.. Yet Again scott Chevrolet was unqualified and unable to complete the work I had scheduled for my New Silverado, brought truck in for oil change and Inspection/ emmissions test and my truck with 10k miles failed emmissions test. So their recomendation is to drive with an expired Inspection decal and keep bringing it back for them to keep checking if it passes so I can get my decal I Already paid for.
