Scott was professional, prompt and took great care to remove the bee hive so that both critters and humans were safe. I really appreciate that he does not kill the bees but relocates them to hives where they can thrive without endangering anyone. I didn't realize about 90% of Arizona's honeybees are Africanized now. It is good to know they are productive bees also and shouldn't just be exterminated. Disappointing to learn the other business just kill them. I will recommend Scott to anyone who has a bee "situation". It cost a bit more to move them rather than just kill them but knowing how compromised out bee population is currently, I'm glad I could help out this way. You did a great job Scott. A bee swarm showed up yesterday on the elm tree in my front yard. My neighbor has grandkids and was concerned about the bees. I found Scott The Bee Man on the Go Gilbert Facebook group, he was highly recommended. I read his website and was pleased to see that he was a bee keeper and would not exterminate the bees. I called him and was not expecting much, it being a Saturday. It was a nice surprise that he took my call, listened to my concerns, and best of all scheduled bee colony removal this Sunday morning. He patiently educated me on bees and their behavior and habits, even explaining it was not necessary to remove the bees, they would likely leave in a couple of days. He took the time to inspect the exterior of my home. He vacuumed the bees in just minutes, was careful to ensure that he got the queen bee. He also explained that some bees may possibly return and if that happened, just call him. I was happy to learn he and his wife actually operate a bee farm in Phoenix and they sell honey and pollen. I immediately requested to have my name added to their mailing list. The service was excellent and the price reasonable. I never felt pressured and he thoroughly explained every step and what to expect - before, during and after the process. It would be more professional to at least respond to say he couldn't help my situation or he was on vacation or whatever the case was. Super disappointing since this is a local company and beekeepers aren't something I need frequently. I want to give a shout out to the beekeeper who rearranged his schedule and got to our house immediately once he saw the size of the swarm we had on our wall. Scott doesn't kill the bees. He removes them and puts them in a new colony, out of harms way where they can do nature's work of pollinating. This is important because we need the pollinators, but also because dead bees draw in more bees, which keeps making the problem recur. The is the second time I've used Scott to remove a bee hive. The first time went without a hitch. A second hive appeared a year later. It was important for us to preserve these magical creatures and we wanted an experienced professional who shared our desire not to kill the bees. The hive was tucked into a crevice on our roof and was at least a year old. Scott warned us about the need the cut into the roof and the risks involved with job.
