My husband and I have been coming to Scott's for over 30 years. Scott's was excellent. You could always get a fabulous meal and it was a great place to take friends because you could always count on their consistency and quality of food and service. The service is still great, unfortunately, we had dinner there tonight and brought friends; I have never been so embarrassed. The food was awful and I mean seriously awful. The encrusted prime rib was cold, tasteless and one of the poorest cuts of prime rib I've ever had. My husband's ribeye was thin, tasteless, as if it had been previously frozen and it was over-salted to try and hide it. Restaurant cuts of meat should be excellent, these were worse than I would get at a fast-food chain. The whole meal, including the poor appetizers and watered-down drinks was a huge disappointment. In fact, I called the manager to let him know how bad the food was and I found out Scott's was sold a year before covid. That's why the food has drastically gone downhill. We went to brunch at Scott's Bar and Grill and boy was that a mistake! For one we sat at the bar, which was quiet and comfortable (it wasn't busy) but it took a long time for the bartender to even notice we were there. Secondly the 'spicy' Bloody Mary I ordered wasn't spicy (even though the bartender told me he put jalapeño purée in it) and average at best...I didn't even finish it (unheard of!). Thirdly and MOST IMPORTANTLY was my eggs Benedict. Not only did the eggs come out overcooked but the hollandaise sauce was broken! I've attached a pic this time and notice the puddle of butter in the lower left hand corner...EEEEEEEEW! The bartender came over and I showed him the disaster of my brunch and he took it back ensuring me the chefs wouldn't be upset...it would seem he was wrong. (2 were wearing black chef coats and 1 chef in white. I'm guessing he was the head chef...shame on you!). I didn't reorder the Bennie but ordered the scramble like my partner had. His was ok per him but when I got mine it was drowned in crème fraiche and melted cheese. I just ate the sausage and left the rest. It was literally one of the most disappointing brunches I've had in many years so lame. There's only 6 brunch items on the menu and they couldn't execute 1 for me...DROP THE BRUNCH MENU! Very good service and food overall. The bartender Dylan is excellent. The quality of the overall restaurant experience is very good. Maybe a bit on the pricey side for what you get, but still an excellent restaurant and Edmonds staple that has been around for a while. Don't forget to use the Landry's card if you got one. It's a very sad day when Hospital food is better than a restaurant. Scott's use to be a great restaurant both food and drinks but not any more. I just got a very simple Chicken Alfredo and it was un eatable. The noodles were over cooked and the chicken (I'm not sure it was) was like shoe leather. All the old favorites are back. I had the rigatoni and pea salad, which were terrific. Husband ordered the blue cheese salad, which he liked, and the chicken Dijon. He complained to me that potato's were over whipped and vegetables were not freshly prepared and chicken had burnt edges. Not sure I'll be able to get him to return. We went to Scott's since I got a birthday reward from the parent company Restaurants Unlimited (we usually we go to Palominos). I used to eat at Scott's when I was growing up. I went once last year with a friend and had a burger and it was good. This time we got the crab dip to start. It was delicious- and it was big. The focaccia that came with it was quite dense - so it was a filling appetizer. I got the french dip sandwich and it was very good. But the hubby was very disappointed with his meal. He ordered the fried chicken and ribs. And the chicken was not at all what you would think of as fried chicken. It was two teeny tiny pieces of chicken breast pounded out. A light coating was put on - so it wasn't fried chicken as much as tiny chicken cutlets. And it has no seasoning. Neither did the mashed potatoes or green beans. He was adding salt and pepper like crazy. He said the ribs were so so. For $29 it was seriously lacking. They gave me a free dessert for my birthday which was very nice. We split the key lime pie - it was excellent. And the server was great. But I think we would stick with sandwiches or appetizers if we go back. read more

We have been going to Scott's for years and enjoying the food and service but it is clear that things have changed. On our recent date night we headed to Scott's excited for some great drinks and food. Things started out well, we ordered some delicious cocktails and an appetizer. The bartender asked us if we'd like a happy hour menu and promptly produced the menu. We ordered a few items but a time later he came back and said happy hour would not start for another 15 minutes. We said OK and agreed that they would put in the items at 3 o'clock , when happy hour started. In the meantime, my husband had to make a work call and stepped outside, he asked me to order a drink while he was gone. In the 15 minutes he was gone I could not flag down or make eye contact with any service staff. Upon his return my husband walked up to the bar requesting the bartender to make us a few cocktails. Unfortunately, the bartender neglected to acknowledge their delinquency but said ' I got you". Around 3:15 we asked when our happy hour items would be out. He said that he would check on it. He returned saying "about 10 more minutes". 15 minutes later we flag down the bartender and asked him again about the happy hour food. In the meantime Several couples came in and ordered and received their food. About 20 minutes later we flag down the bartender again to ask about the food and he said he would check on it. The bartender never returned. Eventually, we went up to the bar and canceled our order, settled up and headed out. Knowing that we would not be back to Scott's anytime in the near future. Bummer! Something about this place leaves a yucky taste in my mouth, hard to put ones finger on it ultimately, is it the pretend manager that's a rude passive aggressive steam roller at the front? Is it the office partical board from the 80's on the ceiling walls, maybe it's the tacky cow scull(thus a lack of any real interior decorating just 80's particle board and a good old cow skull, huh), or that indicated: "dinner steaks are Qoute available at lunch" with no menu provided, great! First of spring was at least a few days ago and outdoor more private option in context seating isn't available at this time when asked(for a kinda pricey place)? Also great! Other things that I noticed also, ultimately yucky vibe hard to put to words paid tipped waitress and took Togo. Your guess is better than mine? Personally not impressed. Almost Tiny thin water glasses and Purell brand TM automatic hand sanitizer dispenser dispensing fakey fruity perfume value brand(as apposed to actual pure, non fakery blow out cheap value fragrance, purell as indicated) instead any one, all avalible (with out loaded baked potatoes) at "Scotts" also great! Read through the newest reviews and i think that it'$ pretty obvious that "$cotts" the owner likes to cut corners and suto bait and switch on what I like to call a hand out business. read more

Terribly disappointing thanksgiving. The grainy dry cous cous like corn bread stuffing was tasteless. The ONLY. Vegetable were dried up Brussels sprouts. Few people like this and I heard others complaining. The turkey must have been heavily brined..it was very salty. And my 79 year old father in law got five big pieces, I got two dinky pieces. Who figured the portions? The pumpkin pie was super thin..like crazy theme...but it was good. So thanksgiving dinner was ruined, but I added a star for the excellent service on a holiday. read more

My boyfriend and I had never been to Scott's Bar and Grill before, but we received a gift card and went to try it. We were extremely pleased!!! First, our server, Gemma, was wonderful! She was prompt, super nice, and overall provided excellent service. Then our meals came and the food was SO good! The portions were really great and the quality of the food was fantastic. I had a substitution on my dish, which the kitchen made happen for me, and I really appreciated it. Finally, we talked to the manager, Shaun, to let him know about our great experience; he was also extremely nice and warm. When Scott's came on Grubhub I ordered it... the first few days, then I just kept ordering. The food is divine, and after a few nights I went in person. The service, I sat at the bar, was incredible. Highly recommend Andre, he was amazing. But there were a few hiccups. Which, as a restaurant professional, I understand. But, as a former restaurant manager, I was concerned about my both the delivery and the food. But nothing made me more concerned than when I brought it up to the manager (Sean, I think, he didn't introduce himself) he seemed to care less. Not a good sign. But I trust management to find someone that listens compassionately to their customer concerns. I'm not looking for real change, just not condensation from people I'm trying to help. read more

I have come here for over 15 years! It's a great place for a nice HH. Great appetizers and great adult beverages. Generous serving size for HH choices and priced between $5.95 -$8.95! Sliders,tacos calamari and my fav, wings! The wings are great and huge! The service is decent, because I've been here many times I'm familiar with the wait staff. After our awful experience last year, Scott's generously gave us a gift card to try them again. I am so glad we did! We decided to sit in the bar area and enjoy some New Years day drinks and we had a great time! For us, this place is all about the bar/lounge area and happy hour! I don't think we would sit in the restaurant area again. We enjoyed some crab and artichoke dip (so good! with some warm bread) and delicious cocktails. Our friends ordered the beef bites and drinks as well, they were pleased. The comfy bar seating was the highlight (honestly!) it was so nice to relax and chat in those chairs. Thank you Scotts for sending us that gift card and making us fans! We can't wait to come back. Also, they gave us each $20 gift cards for visiting on New Years day- Love it! Caesar salad was o.k., but lacking dressing and seasoning; I've had better. Sirloin steak was not as great as the KEG's. It was dry and unflavorful. The Gorgonzola cheese crust tasted and looked like blue cheese. The savory glaze tasted suspiciously like A-1. The garlic rosemary bread was good, and I enjoyed the potatoe cake accompanying my entree. 3 stars for food. 1 star extra because the server was great as was the ambiance of the remodeled restaurant. I have been a patron of Scott's for several years, and have always found them to have very tasty food and drinks, and quite possibly the best happy hour in the Shoreline/Edmonds area. A year ago, I would have given Scott's at least 4 stars. However, I find it unfortunate that they have changed their menu now that this restaurant and Stanford's restaurant are owned by the same company. Somehow, the combination of the two has caused Scott's to lose its charm and seem so much more "chain-like"... I liked the old Scott's menu MUCH better. That aside, you can always count on the food to be wonderfully prepared, inside an open kitchen area that is viewable from the dining room. The atmosphere is definitely in need of updates. The green and red decor make me think it's Christmas. Get there early for happy hour, as this place gets packed. You won't be disappointed with anything on their appetizer list - Coconut Prawns, Quesadilla, Crab and Artichoke Dip, and Maytag Salad are all top notch. My husband & I ordered the Calamari appetizer that had a mexican twist, and it was DELICIOUS! They made something deep fried taste actually healthy, and FRESH, so no guilt there! For dinner, my husband had the Salmon Oscar with a bit of crab, and he just LOVED it. I had the Almond Crusted Scallop which was delicious! I upgraded to scalloped potatoes for a small fee, but it was worth it!! We skipped on dessert because the menu was limited, I wish there were more selections. My girl and I went to Scott's for the first time time this past Saturday, and was pleasantly surprised at the service, atmosphere and how good the food was. Our server, David was absolutely outstanding. We were shocked to learn it was only his 3rd day. He was attentive and took great care of us. He also has a cool radio voice:). We definitely plan to go back. We also were expressed by ALL the workers- as everyone was constantly on the move making sure everyone was well taken care of. This type of service starts from the top. Lots of reasons why this place is a darn good time. The crab and artichoke dip is awesome, and I've had some really good wines here. Even the happy hour wines are good. Yes, the calamari is not what I would recommend (as with other reviewers). The atmosphere varies; there are a lot of 30s and 40s in here socializing, but there are a fair amount of young 20s and of course the older folks. I love this place! Their annual halibut season is my favorite time of the year... especially when they have their signature parmesan encrusted cheeks. Scott has inspired me in my own cooking... I started to cook fish with parmesan cheese. Whoda thunk! And the SERVICE! Phenomenal... if the wait is too long, the manager comes out and make sure you're not gnawing your thumb off by giving you an appetizer. I have been coming to Scott's for years. Have not been in a couple years since moving across the water but was excited to return for a celebration dinner with my husband. The ferries were messed up so we spent 3 hours to get here only to be supremely disappointed by the food. The menu has changed over the last couple years and quality has dropped significantly. Only giving one star for the crab dip which was the only highlight of the meal. Husband ordered the "herb crusted" Prime Rib, which had zero flavor or crust, and had to be smothered in aujus and horseradish to have any semblance of flavor. My filet was the worst steak I have ever eaten and also had zero flavor. It and the "creamy" mashed potatoes were beyond dry and couldn't be helped even by added butter and salt. Sadly, what was once one of my favorite restaurants I would not waste my time on again. Save your time and money and eat somewhere else. read more

Went here on a busy Saturday, 6pm Reservation on open table. Unorganized/crowded unsafe looking waiting area. Witnessed employees run into patrons 3x while waiting to be seated. Kitchen is visible in open waiting area. Small oven looked like it had never been cleaned. Menu has lots of variety but every meal, even burgers are $16+. Ordered cajun chicken fettucinni, assumed it'd be alfredo sauce, w/ cajun style balckened chicken since it was $18.. it was more like hunts tomato sauce+ franks red hot sauce, and a massive of black pepper. Couldn't taste it really because it was so hot, chicken was disgusting and seemed like it started out cold and was thrown into the sauce later. Chicken was CUBED and unseasoned.. probably from a can. Took about 2 bites, waiter didn't seem to care, just offers to box it up long before my husband is done w/ his meal. The ceasar salad I had contained slightly wilted lettuce, store bought croutons and powdered craft parmesan cheese. It was somewhat obvious they take some short cuts, probably for cost reasons... not worth it. He ordered a special, cost $28 and came w/ flavorless unseasoned barely cooked baby red potatoes. Definitely wont come back knowing the food quality is so low and the prices are so high. Don't make the same mistake we did. Go somewhere else. read more

Sat in the bar on the 4th of July. Waitress came over, dropped the menu and asked what I'd like to drink. So far so good. After 15 minutes, she comes back to my table and asks me what my order was. I was her only table, btw. The food arrived 10 minutes later and after I'm more than half done, she comes by and drops a desert menu. I finish, and ask for the check. Be right back she says and walks away, leaving my plate sitting in front of me. Check arrives with no apologies, no offer to comp a desert, nothing. $44 later, I'm waking out with no plans to return! I was here the first time, and the last. There is a very old house smell that greats you as you walk in. The stuff is nice but slow. Ordered a filet mignon, got a meat pancake because...they butterfly it. Yep...they cut file mignon down the middle and flatten it to make it cook faster...horryfying to any meat lover. Basically a diner which is priced as restaurant. Owners...if you are reading this...please, please redecorate so the smell goes away, and make sure filet mignon is actually that. read more
