We have tried to like Scott's Bar and Grill but every time we dine we have horrible service. Tonight our waitress served us and then we didn't see her again. I tried to flag her down to get another refill and she went into the kitchen and was gone for a long time. When she came out she had a Tupperware in her hand, was finishing up eating and she went to wash it out. I guess it was her break. However nobody took her place while she was gone. We've been coming to Scott's for 20+ years and it has been as consist as the sun rising everyday. I also travel for work and go to many sister restaurants in other states so I can experience their menu items. Scott's has always been a 5 Star review due to food quality, service but most importantly menu items. Scott has had a number of core items on the menu that were very popular but are now gone. The Happy Happy crab dip is gone but it's available in other sister restaurants. Scott's has replaced Cajun Chicken Fettuccine with a similar dish but it's not the same. The Asian Chucken salad is also gone. These are 3 reasons I need to find other restaurants that offer similar dishes or Happy hour items. It's sad but I don't feel the new Scott's menu is on par from the past and the probably the reason the bar is not full of of long term regular customers. read more

I'm not that impressed with last nights meal, I feel we over payed for the bad service we received and the small portions of food lacking any flavor. The crab and artichoke dip is the only thing I truly enjoyed. We had a reservation but it wasn't really necessary. Our waitress let us sit for like 30 minutes before actually taking our food orders. Asked us what to start out for drinks (we were ready to order by then) and after we said water she just said "okay waters" turned around and walked away instead of finishing up with us. Took her 10 minutes to get back to then cut me off after saying we want the dip, turned around, walked away. Didn't take our entree orders even though we were ready. Most of our time here was just sitting staring at the table because it felt uncomfortable and we were starving.... I ordered coho salmon and I wasn't happy with this. I've eaten salmon my whole life, fresh caught from our own puget sound, but this filet tasted frozen to me. Or low quality. Bland but the seasoning they put on it wasn't complimentary to the fish. This was one small filet and a scoop of their gummy mashed potatoes, and some green beans. $25. I threw my leftovers away because it was a waste of money. The steak was minimally seasoned and bland unless you added the sauces on top. Same garlic mash and some asparagus but he could only eat the steak w sides, it wasn't good on its own. Overall I'm not going to be coming back until there's some changes. I only recommend coming here for the appetizers and a drink, that seems like all they're good for right now. read more

We went to Scott's last night. I made reservation for 6:30 pm for my birthday dinner. We went there last year and was really looking forward to it this year. I usually order the BBQ Ribs cause it was pretty good last year. Any way I order the ribs & my mom ordered the French dip. The service was good and all was going good. When food came I looked at the ribs and it wasn't like last year. It looked burnt with slap of BBQ on top of it. So I tried a piece and it didn't taste that good at all. The server came and asked how food was and I told her it was alright. She wanted to know what was wrong and I told her how it wasn't tasting that good. The sauce was sour. So got the manager and he asked the same questions and I told him the same thing. He offered me another selection on the menu and he took care me on this. This place is really a lot bigger than we thought it would be. Stopped in between games during a tournament in the area. Really nice! I had the French Onion soup and 1/2 turkey sandwich. The food is incredible!!! Highly recommend the Broadway Pea Salad (although be aware that it is pretty small if you are using it as your entree; next time I will just order two). Garlic bread was tasty, too. My husband had barbecued ribs with coleslaw and french fries; he said everything tasted great. Very good selection of desserts--especially the incredible (and unique) carrot cake! Hubby had the key lime pie, which he enjoyed very much. Dined at Scott's last night for the first time. We were seated quickly and our waiter was very attentive and very nice. We both ordered the pasta with chicken and asparagus. The pasta was nicely cooked and the sauce was good. Unfortunately, the chicken was rubbery and tough and the red bell peppers did not appear to have been sautéed at all; just cubed and tossed in raw. We requested some bread with our meal. It was topped with a cold butter and garlic sauce. Grilling the bread with the butter and garlic sauce would be a positive move forward. Poor service, worse food. We tried a little bit of everything, at around the menu and the only thing that didn't come out tasteless was the pasta sauce. Our server did not once check on us, though the table next to us was getting visited regularly. She didn't even deliver our food, a runner did, which is fine, but the place was not busy, so we have no idea why we were so ignored. We had finished our dinners by the time we were offered a beverage refill or water. I've been coming to Scott's for decades, but I don't think I will do so again. For $24, you get 4 fairly yummy scallops with a huge lump of mashed (meh) and a few slitherings of red pepper and asparagus that may or may not be overcooked. It's tough to decide on a rating here because, on the one hand, the scallops were good. On the other, the plate was really mostly just mashed potatoes. So, is it worth $24? Probably not. Especially since the mashed didn't taste so great. And, especially since the veggies didn't either. Bottom line: Thinking critically, good scallops but at $6 a pop... because potatoes and flavorless veggies don't count. read more

My friend is a huge fan of this place so I end up here alot. I love that it is close by, has a large parking lot and classy feel to it. The bar area has tvs and a variety of tables, including two corner couch type things. Lots of people seem to come here to watch sporting events, but it doesn't get too loud like some other places. This is a great bar for a conversation. I usually just come here for drinks as the menu does not have much that appeals to me, but I have sampled the fries and some salads in the past. My friend is in love with the free garlic bread and the chocolate martinis. We also enjoy the twice daily happy hour and that they are open later than a lot of places in the area. Service is usually top notch. They also offer a rewards card so if you go here frequently enough you can eventually redeem rewards for gift cards. They are open for brunch on the weekends and even open on the holidays (with limited hours). read more

I always enjoy the food here. One of my favorite happy hour places to go. I need to remember to not sit at the bar, the bar staff is friendly, but always forget something. I haven't met a bartender here that seems to be able manage tickets from the restaurant and their bar seats well. They either smoother you with attention or you hardly see them. We had a lovely chat, and he explained the seating crisis they experienced on Valentine's Day, which wasn't actually the restaurant's fault. Christopher graciously offered to make up for our bad experience by mailing us a very generous gift card. I will update again once we've actually dined at the restaurant. But I am bowled over by the customer service. *Final update* We received the gift card sent by the owner and went for dinner on a Saturday night. We arrived on time for a 6:15 reservation, we were seated in just a few minutes. They were slammed, so there were some delays in service, but that's understandable. We started with the Chop Chop Salad and French Onion Soup. The soup was excellent, my husband who had the salad wished he had ordered the soup. I asked the server if she would recommend the Braised Short Rib special or the Filet Mignon. She said the Short Ribs, so I went with that. Hubby ordered the prime rib, rare. We also ordered the chicken tender plate for my toddler son. The prime rib was very tender and tasty, but not quite as rare as my husband wished it was. The short ribs were good, but not great. A little dry, like something my mom would make. I wished I had ordered the filet mignon instead. The Brussels sprouts were my favorite thing on the plate. We finished with the Chocolate Indulgence Cake, which was a little pricey, at $10/slice. But it was a generous slice, and very rich and decadent! My son definitely approved! It was a great finish to pretty satisfying meal. I also will add that the $8 price on a kids meal was a little steep, but I was impressed by the quality and quantity of the meal (3 large, delicious, homemade chicken tenders and fries) which came with the small $4 sundae at the end. Found a gem here! We sat in the bar and enjoyed the happy hour eats and a couple of drinks. The artichoke-crab balls and the sauce are so so so! good. We split the shredded beef tacos and the beef sliders - both are full of flavor and generous in size. What a great restaurant in a most unassuming location. It is conveniently right across from the Costco and Home Depot and yet I only started noticing it this year. I am so glad they are a part of Landry's as I already have their reward card. The food here is the best that I've had at any Landry's restaurant across the country. We happened to be passing through during happy hour which made watching the game and having food even better! We had great service and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. What an amazing find! We often come up to Edmonds for business lunches and struggle to find a place that can easily accommodate my gluten allergy. I was thrilled when I saw the menu at Scott's and how gluten friendly they are! We had no issue making reservations and being seated on time during the busy lunch hour. Our server was wonderful and very friendly. We all put in our orders and I had a difficult time deciding what to get because there were so many great sounding gf items. I ordered the salmon with potatoes and vegetables and was really impressed with the cook on the fish and the buttery deliciousness of the vegetables. My comrades were all pleased with their lunches and we did more eating than talking I have to say! Overall it was a great spot for a lunch and we look forward to returning here again soon! read more

Sherrie and I have eaten here 3 times in 2 years. Scott's has all the trappings of a great restaurant, but seems to fall short in different ways each time. I think the problem is "scale". This place is huge, but there's almost always a waiting period, to be seated. There are a lot of waiters (mostly male), yet the service is slow. They take your order in a personal way (without writing it down), but they forget what you ordered. Everyone is charming, but always in a hurry. They charge top dollar for high-end steaks, chops, ribs, and seafood. The entrees are always good, but never great. It's a good restaurant for hosting an event, birthday, etc. For a more intimate time together, ask to be seated on a wall or window, not in the center of the room. read more

My husband and I had a gift card to Scott's and decided to give it a shot for dinner. We had a reservation for 6 pm on a weeknight. When we arrived we requested outside seating, which the hostess explained was first come, first serve (despite our reservation). We were able to snag the last open table on the patio. The patio was crowded but all tables were 6 feet apart. Our server was at our table right away! We did notice that around 6:30 ish the patio cleared out and there was more seating. We started with cocktails- they have a fun cocktail menu! The food was also amazing. They brought this amazing warm bread with garlic butter to our table and honestly I could have just eaten that all night and been happy. The portions were huge and delish. Everything was fresh and the ingredients were high quality. The only reason for dropping a start is it is expensive. Get ready to pay $20 a plate for fish and chips and French dip. We ordered their 4 - 6 person Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner with a huge pile of turkey (breast and dark meat), a tub of (real) mashed potatoes, a tub of green beans, a tub of stuffing, 2 tubs of gravy and a tub of cranberry orange mix - OMG it was heavenly. Another neighborhood Edmond's gem, this place is frequently overlooked but we think you're missing out. We recommend you come on a weekday for dinner (or happy hour) as they tend to get slammed on the weekends. We love the French Onion soup, the French Dip, the salads (especially the 3 salad sampler), and the Pastas. The happy hour in the bar has a great Old Fashioned and the sliders are amazing. My family came here not long ago for my Father in law's birthday 1) We were very disappointed that none of the staff read our reservation details and did not acknowledge or ask why we were here celebrating, no cake or desert either. 2) The chef at the time undercooked the birthday man's steak twice, both times having very red and very rare meat not medium well as he ordered. The meat was also very bland and under seasoned, well most of our dishes were missing salt and pepper at least. When we told our server the steak was undercooked the second time he asked us if we wanted it cooked some more and put into a box instead of offering some other way to make up for it. What's happened here? We've been dining at Scott's for over 20 years, mostly business related. Food has always been reasonably good. The drop in food quality is dramatic. The blue cheese salad had much less romaine and a perceptible lack of shrimp. The French onion soup was an unassuming brown liquid with no particular flavor profile, lots of bread and very little cheese. Biggest disappointment was the diminutive chop chop salad which contained soggy lettuce, many garbanzo beans and little else. All of these treats for $60.
