My family and I had carryout from Scott's Deli on a recent vacation to AMI. The sandwiches were very good. I enjoyed the Coquina with its interesting combination of goat cheese, BBQ sauce, chipotle mayo, and peach/mango jam on top of turkey and bacon. Service is quick and friendly. read more

The food here is excellent! The sandwiches are very fresh and taste really good. It is a small place, but they have a nice outdoor eating area and the service is good. Idk how this place has anything other than 5 stars. SO good! We just found them today when looking for a sub that wasn't Publix and loved absolutely everything we ordered. Got the Italian sub & chicken banh mi wrap and loved it all. Great sizes for the price and yes, it is better than a pub sub. Great spot for a quick bite or easy lunch option, today on the way to the beach we stopped by and picked up a few sandwiches. They were absolutely fresh and amazing. Everything on the menu looked and sounded so good it was hard to choose just one. I got the key royale and my wife got the Reuben unwiche (which is essentially no bread wrapped in lettuce). We will definitely be back. Service was fast and friendly and apparently they deliver it right to ya on the beach if you want. Do yourself a favor and check it out if you're in the area! read more

Amazing sandwiches. The Italian was wonderful. Lots of fresh lettuce, onion and tomato slices, meat was perfect ratio on soft tasty bun. The coquina was incredible. The sauce is Key on a ciabatta bun. desserts- Brownies and Nanamio they too were amazing. read more

I know where I'm going next time I'm in Anna Maria because I think I may have found my new favorite sandwich spot, then again I just haven't visited a good sandwich spot in a while but I will say Scott's deli is VERY good. The key royale is a pork lovers sandwich with multiple textures , ham, pork, bacon so it's very flavorful and it's got quite a bit going on. I loved the bourbon jam but I wish it had just a bit more because there's a lot of savory meats. The hint of garlic aioli kept things interesting and the bread was crispy and perfectly pressed. This is a very surprising and frustrating review to write as we were so excited to try this island deli that is so highly regarded. My family lives on the island and were excited to see what we thought. So, I headed to pick it up at 3pm and it predictably wasn't peak business so I was the only customer in the shop. I ordered my wife the Southwest Salad and ordered The Desoto sandwich for myself. This is where the disappointment and a very odd experience began. I drove home with the food to find that the salad had a spoiled avocado and no meat on it (supposed to have Buffalo chicken). I called and they immediately said they'd bring the meat to us - a nice gesture. When the employee delivered the meat, though, she asked to inspect the salad; saying they had a lot of new employees. It was clear, however, that she felt I was lying and wanted to make sure they screwed up. It was incredibly awkward and odd. I let her in the house to take a look at the salad while everyone sat there thinking "WTF"... Upon seeing the salad was screwed up, she gave me the missing meat. In the bag with the "Buffalo chicken" (deli meat...which I thought was odd) they did leave us a dessert bar. Again, a nice gesture but this was completely negated by the employee not trusting us and asking to see the salad and proceeding to come into our home to look. My Desoto sandwich had good ingredients that seemed fresh. The cherry chipotle jam and goat cheese were delicious but the entire sandwich was really lacking moisture. The ciabatta bread (listed on the menu as toasted) wasn't toasted and eating the sandwich required lots of water to help it go down. Not sure what would help bring moisture to this sandwich, but to me it really needs it. One of the weirdest and most unexpectedly bad experiences I've had. Would give them another shot because of all of the good reviews, but this was a lunch that left us disappointed on every level. read more

Picked up a couple sandwiches and a wrap while down in Anna Maria. Price point for what you get in this area is fair. Girl behind counter was very polite and courteous. She recommend one of the cheesecakes they had in the cooler so I got a slice and one one of their giant chocolate chip cookies. Both were delicious. Sandwiches were also very tasty. Ok, I'm hard to please when it comes to food and I have to say this sandwich place is like none other and is quite amazing! They had a delicious gluten free bread option and many sandwich combinations to choose from. The sandwiches are large and simply scrumptious! The potato salad we ordered with our sandwiches was perfect. We loved it so much we wanted to go back the next day only to discover they're closed on Sunday's. We were so bummed! Stopped by to grab sandwiches for the beach. Everything was so good! We ordered the Italian in a wrap, Turkey Club and a couple of build your own turkey sandwiches....so good! Definitely recommend. If you are going to the beach make sure to take a few ziploc bags to store your leftovers. The paper the sandwiches are wrapped in aren't meant for rewrapping. We went out this morning to the pier and decided to stop by Scott's Deli for breakfast. This was our first time there and I can guarantee it won't be our last. Was vacationing at Holmes Beach with my family. We decided we wanted sandwiches for lunch one afternoon...instead of opting for a franchise place, we went a local business (we try to do that as often as we can). Scott's Deli was an excellent choice.if you want a simple deli sandwich done right...look no further. Service was quick and food was delicious. Food was absolutely delicious....everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food! We had 2 people in our party who are gluten free - we loved our sandwiches and the gluten free bread was great (which isn't always the case). I've been coming down to AMI for over a decade but only recently discovered Scott's Deli. And dang, I was missing out. First, I put in a double-digit order on a Saturday morning in February and they came through with the goods and the order was just about ready when I got there. I enjoyed them so much, I came back the next morning after my wedding and grabbed a sandwich en route to the bus stop. Unlike a lot of other places, they don't get overly busy because it's a takeout sandwich shop. But who cares? They have a small table inside (same spot as Coffee Haus), but you're in Florida so grab your sandwich and eat outside, there are plenty of benches. As for the food, I liked the Maple Leaf breakfast sandwich, but the Southwest version is awesome. While I haven't had any of the other sandwiches, all of my friends enjoyed theirs, as well, though the Key Royale is my next choice. Oh, and they have gluten-free bread. read more

On our first visit we opted for the large NY Pastrami with some corned beef added in. Delicious! The meat was lean and flavorful. It was so huge we split it. My husband commented we should have split a small, lol. The deli was spotless and the staff was friendly. There are so many interesting menu choices, we will have to go back many times to try them all. Darn! read more
