I've moved with Scout moving, not too long ago. My experience with the move was a good one, The guys showed up on time, and they were quick, but not too quick, which is great because you can see how they pay extra attention to detail. They did an amazing job loading everything into the truck without damaging anything. They were very nice and polite. Kayla in the office made sure to call me, and let me know when to expect my shipment to arrive in my new home. She sounded very professional and accurate . The delivery couldn't have beet any smoother. I was called 24 hours before arrival, and the driver, Leon, was really nice and helpful. Everything was brought into my home carefully and safely. my furniture was placed where i asked the guys to put it. I couldn't have asked for anything more. I know that moving can go wrong in so many ways and stages a long the way, but Scout Moving , definitely know what they're doing. They have experience and they really do care. If I could give less than 1 star I would. Same experience as the other reviewers. I contracted with Trans-United and was told they had their own trucks and movers. Turns out they contracted with Scout Moving. According to Trans-United they belong under the same "umbrella" as Scout but Scout says they aren't affiliated. Total bait and switch. Charged us over $300 more than expected (quoted) and then stopped taking my calls when I disputed the amount. Told them they were pretty much holding my items hostage since if I didn't make the final payment they wouldn't deliver and then I would have to pay storage and additional fees. I knew once I made the final payment I would never get a refund. Spoke to with Josh, David, Chris, Isaac and Jason at Trans-United who were no help at all, just talk, talk, talk. I also spoke with Amanda at Scout who also wasn't much help and stopped taking my calls. Please take heed of these reviews and steer clear of this company and Trans-United. read more

While I booked my move through Budget, and so I came to Scout indirectly, I'm so grateful that they were my moving company. I can't say enough good things about the Scout team. Every single person involved was personable, professional, very communicative and proactive, thorough, and mega competent. They told me exactly what would happen, when. They took the initiative to contact me regularly. They answered all my questions in a timely way. My move was cross country from Washington to North Carolina. All my belongings were delivered within the promised timeframe. I'm not quite done unpacking but so far there is no damage to anything. I felt so reassured and I can't tell you what a relief it was to know that they were handling all the move details so I didn't stress. Nothing short of excellent service! Completely satisfied, actually, beyond satisfied. After reading the reviews, my stomach was in knots wondering how this whole thing would go. I can tell you that from returned phone calls/emails, to prompt calls from Claudio who kept us posted during his drive to NY from WA, to the unloading and helping us put our stuff in the garage -- we were so amazed at the professionalism that was demonstrated. Claudio the driver answered/returned my calls, and told me that he would be there at 4:00 p.m., and I kid you not, they were there at 4:05 p.m. My husband told me to give them a chance, and I'm glad we did. Wow! I am astonished how good my move was. My guys Tyler and Juan were unbelievable!!! After reading all the reviews on here, I was very nervous about my move. But from the time they called to the very end was the BEST service I have received and I have moved A LOT!! They went above and beyond with taking care of my stuff and handling everything with care. They showed up on time, very respectful, great attitudes about their job and got the work done. I would highly highly get Scout Moving as your moving company. Or at least get the reps named Tyler and Juan. They explained everything in so much detail, everything was what I was told to on the phone, no hidden fees or extra charges!! Simple move with absolutely no issues. Everything went fast once they showed up, both the loading and the unloading took less than half an hour. It took some time between when I first notified them that I arrived at my new place and when they showed up with my things and furniture. Fortunately, I didn't need those urgently and, to be fair, they had warned me about this. The communication was quite good, they were responsive to my messages. Considering the price, I am very satisfied with their services and I would use them again. read more

Nathaniel set me up with the inventory and the process, Meagan confirmed times and fees, the loaders and the delivery men were prompt, efficient, personable and very professional. I even had some delivery date issues, and Scout worked with me to make sure my items would be delivered at a time that was convenient to me. We moved from Seattle to Peoria and Jalal from Scout helped us unload our household items and all was set until we found that the movers we had hired then had misplaced the screws used to build our complicated bed. Jalal was extremely helpful and proactively brought the screws from a nearby Home Depot stores and assembled the bed for us and saved us a lot of time and efforts. On the day of my delivery, unfortunately it was pouring rain :( But Jae and his helpers laid down blankets on my floors and carpets to keep them clean and they also worked quickly to bring my items in before they got wet.
