LOVE the Norco location and thought it would be the same here, but I was disappointed. This place is busier, crowded, and the food wasn't as good despite the menu being the same. You order at the register, pay and are directed to a table (inside or outside, whichever you prefer). Luckily we ordered and were seated before the line got long & out the door. Employees were friendly but service was lacking as they simply drop off your order at your table and no longer check up on you. Our food arrived after a short wait. The only dish that we received hot/warm was the pancakes. My loco moco seemed as if it was sitting for a while, was barely room temp and the gravy seemed to solidify to an almost thick jelly consistency :( On the plus side, the Hawaiian iced coffee was delicious.
I've seen this cafe being advertised to me on Yelp for quite some time, so I decided I needed to make a visit! Parking is difficult, especially on the weekends. We couldn't seem to find a parking spot and ended up parking on the street. This wasn't a full service type of restaurant. You order your food with the cashier after she finds a table for you. You pay and then situate yourself at the table. Your food and drink will be delivered to you, and that's that. Not saying that we minded, but I wanted to give other Yelpers a fair warning that you can't exactly put your name down on a waitlist. After looking at the menu, we decided to order their Loco Moco with Portuguese Sausages and try their ube waffle. We also decided to try their P.O.G. juice which comprised of pineapples, oranges, and guava juice. It didn't take long for our food to come out. Their Loco Moco was delicious and quite filling; my fiancé and I had to share. Their ube waffle was a bit overwhelming only because I'm not a crazy sweet tooth. There are pools of ube on the Belgian waffle, with coconut syrup and strawberry slices. I did really like their juice because it had a great combination of fruits. As we eat, we are enjoying the sunlight out in the patio. We are also listening to Hawaiian music being played in the background. Very aesthetic. I can see myself coming here frequently, especially when I have a craving. Great food and quick service!
Aloha Scramblers Cafe! Been driving past Scramblers Cafe for weeks, and we finally decided to stop in for breakfast. Walked in about 8:30ish, several tables busy, but no wait. Ordered our breakfast at the counter, and was brought to a table. Our food came out super fast. I had the harvest eggs Benedict, and my husband had a breakfast burrito. Both were so yummy! There are so many other yummy items on the menu that we're looking forward to try. Service is warm and friendly, and the restaurant is very clean.
My husband and I used to dine at their original location in Norco frequently. We were thrilled to see they opened up another location in Ontario, which is a bit closer for us when we're down in this area of the IE. They continue to bring unique flavors inspired by Hawaiian favorite dishes at this location and we were ecstatic to see our favorite items from their original location on the Ontario menu. Definitely a solid first visit. Scramblers Cafe in Ontario is located within a strip of businesses very close to Ontario Mills. They have free parking shared among the other businesses. The establishment seems to have a better layout and more seating than their other location; which is a plus. Their staff also seemed to have a good system down of seating customers AFTER they've placed their orders to ensure there isn't an issue with people just hoarding tables/seats. My family and I came in on a weekday for breakfast and they were pretty busy. The staff we interacted with were helpful and friendly. There was a little bit of a wait on our food, but again, they were busy for a weekday. Everything we ordered was tasty! Our order consisted of - Kalua Pork Benedict - Captain Mac'Nut French Toast - Spam Musubi Bowl & Auntie Lily's Meatball The food was really good and definitely made fresh. The Captain Mac'Nut French Toast is one of our favorites and definitely did not disappoint. The Spam Musubi Bowl with the "Meatball" was also good. The meatball wasn't really what I expected, but it wasn't bad; just different. I think my only gripe with the meal was the cost. Yes, I understand the cost of everything is up right now. However, the cost of the items seems to be high for the portion sizes and what you're ordering. For example, although the French Toast is great, I can't justify $15 for four pieces (literally two slices of bread cut in half). The Spam Musubi Bowl was also OVER $15 and, for most of the plate being rice with some scoops of spam, I can't justify it. We love what they're serving over at Scramblers Cafe in Ontario and, again, the food and service were good. It just isn't going to be a staple place we can frequent for overall value.
Stopped in to have something to eat while my husband took care of an account. Had the Turkey avocado sandwich with cheese. It came with delish fries that were double fried I think. But they had a nice crispy crust on them and so tasty. The restaurant is very clean and nicely decorated with Hawaiian music which made me feel like I was in Hawaii. The bathrooms are just beautiful and nicely decorated. Great service and food was very fresh. Recommend this place for sure.
Ono aka Delicious! First time trying this spot that went kinda viral and I'm glad I did. You order at the counter and then find a table. They will bring your food to you. This place gets a bit busy so it's best to come early. There is outside seating too. The Loco Moco was great! Serving is pretty big. Love the gravy. Reminds me of one of my favorite places on Oahu called Pancakes & Waffles BLD. The gravy and make or break a loco Moco. Portuguese Sausage was delicious. I definitely had enough rice from my loco Moco to enjoy it with. Ube coconut pancakes were yummy too! Not like fluffy pancakes. They were more like mochi pancakes. Ube and coconut sauce were great and complimented each other nicely.
My hubby had been wanting to try this place for a while, and we finally made it out here! The restaurant was clean and well kept, and the service was friendly and attentive from start to finish. It's the type of spot where you order at the register first, grab a seat, and they bring the food out to you. We ordered the Island Chilaquiles, Loco Moco, fresh orange juice, and plain black coffee ...everything was delicious, we really enjoyed our breakfast. We're already looking forward to coming back to try the lemon ricotta pancakes next time!
We came here on a weekday morning and they were quite busy, but our order was taken quickly and service was friendly. We ordered: Clubhouse Benedict $16 Florentine Omelette $16 Ube iced coffee 6.50 Regular coffee 4.00 The food was just okay. The potatoes had hardly any seasoning and the omelette had the same problem with two sad slices of cheese slapped on the outside as seen in the photo. Would be nicer to use shredded cheese, so that it can be mixed with the eggs and is more evenly distributed throughout. The Benedicts were good, the yolk on point. The Ube iced coffee was kinda weak and the Ube flavor not very strong.
I hardly ever go out for brunch (let alone bfast) but this place has been on my list! Apparently they are a part of the Aloha Stacks brand I ordered the kalua pork eggs benedict with over easy eggs instead and it was SO YUM!!! The only other time I've had something like this was in Hawaii. The homefries were really good too, crispy and soft. The price was average for the portion and the restaurant was busy but not packed (we didn't have much of a wait). You order at the counter and they assign you a table Definitely coming back to try their other items!
Food: The food has been SO good every time we've been here. On multiple occasions and we've loved it every time. The bbq beef was the best thing I've ever had here it's by far my favorite. The fried rice was so good. It all came out hot and fresh. Service: When you get there you go up to the counter and order and they appoint you a table to sit out and bring the food out to you. There are people walking around. Making sure everything is okay! They are always so friendly and polite. Inside: The inside is very big and very clean. They have a lot of tables inside and outside. Outside: There is a lot of parking and very easy to find! If there is a long line don't let it scare you away they get through the line pretty quick. Would totally recommend! And we will be back soon
Scramblers has been on our radar for places to try, and we are already dying to go back! When we arrived, there was a line going out the door to order. We maybe waited 10 minutes to place our orders, and it was worth it. I really like the way it's set up, you order and pay up front and the cashier designates a numbered table for you and your party. The customer service is also awesome here, everyone is very friendly! Scrambles definitely is more of a relaxed atmosphere. As for the food, it is delicious. We tried the loco moco and the ube pancakes. The loco moco was good, but the ube pancakes are a must! They are literally the most perfect pancakes I have ever had. I'm not one for a sweet breakfast item, but I would come in just for these pancakes. We can't wait ti come back! We'll definitely try a new savory item next time, but will be ordering the ube pancakes again!
I've been wanting to try this place for months. Because I work nearby and was early to work, I decided to come try this place early before it got packed. Got the carne asada omelet. The presentation was on point. The carne asada though was kind of sweet. That threw me off as I was use to carne asada from Mexican restaurants. It had good flavor for what it was but not what I was expecting. Expecting savory and got sweet. The ube coffee was good. I asked for less sweet and it was spot on. A tad bitter but it still mixed well. Overall, id try this place again but maybe I'll stick to plate lunches. The servers and cashier were super nice though.
Noticed this spot pop up on my Instagram feed a couple times and have been wanting to try it. I was in the Ontario Mills area so this was the perfect lunch spot! Ordered the loco moco which was amazing! The rice, eggs, and the burger patty was really good and seasoned well. The highlight though was the gravy which was delicious! Definitely recommend it as it was on par with some that I had in Oahu. Service was friendly and checks in on you throughout your time dining there. Restaurant is really clean and inviting and has indoor and patio seating.

I was shopping nearby at the Ontario Mills across the street and wanted to try a new restaurant. I got the Hawaiian bbq mix ($19.90) with a side of biscuits and gravy ($5) with Hawaiian pog drink ($6). The place was busy, with outside tables were filled and the inside with most tables filled. I ordered at the register first, then took my table where they brought the food. The staff brought a large water pitcher for each table along with utensils. I got the pog drink which is Passion Orange Guava mixed together. My bbq mix came with fried rice, macaroni salad, sliced beef and chicken katsu. The fried rice upgrade was $2 extra since it's usually plain white rice. The beef was chewy but it was marinated nicely. I did like the chicken katsu much more. The breading was not too thick and the sauce that came with it reminds me of Japanese brand, Bulldog sauce. I did like their biscuits and gravy, which came with three soft, flaky biscuits smothers in white sausage gravy. The gravy was not too salty and seasoned well. They close at 2pm. I've been going to the Scramblers location in Norco for years and have always enjoyed the breakfast fusion. I was so thrilled when I found out that they had opened a second location in Ontario--right by Ontario Mills if you want to get your shopping on before or after brunch. The first think I noticed was just how much more spacious this new location is--plenty of booths and tables inside the building with a wraparound area outside with overhead covering for the heat and and heaters for when it's cold. I ended up going for their more simple, but delicious, Triple 2: two pancakes, two eggs, and two Portuguese sausages. They also upgraded my syrup to maple syrup with no extra charge. My total came to $14.14. The eggs were perfectly scrambled, pancakes nice and fluffy, and sausages grilled to perfection. I'm so happy for the owner and I will definitely be back with more people especially since it's closer to me and much more spacious. Can't wait to try out some more items! read more

I'm so glad they opened a location near me because I have been wanting to try their Norco but never got the chance too. My family & I went on a Sunday afternoon. Luckily they weren't too busy. When you get there, you line up & order. I was trying to get a table as my dad is handicap & wanted to sit while me & my mom were ordering & they said I have to order before sitting. He just sat at a table & when I ordered they were trying to assign me a table number. I told them my dad sat at a table already, so I just gave them the table number. IMO I don't like this concept. I see other handicap people wanting to sit as their party was in line to order as well. I think they should just give you a number after you ordered. My family ordered the Ube pancakes, and their beef lunch plate & chicken lunch plate. The Ube was . It's was so good. Just like what I had in Hawaii! You get big portions, enough for 2 or 3 people to share. The beef lunch plate has good portions. A lot of beef to rice & Mac ratio. The chicken lunch was a little disappointing. The chicken portion seemed rather small to me. I wish more chicken good. The chicken was juicy & flavorful. My only negative was the chicken wasn't cut up. I also ordered the iced green tea. I didn't really care for it as it was very creamy & you can hardly taste the green tea. They have indoor & outdoor seating, which as I mentioned is assigned seating. The seating and ordering style is similar to how you order at Hawaii breakfast places, but if you are not familiar with that style of ordering at the register and being assigned to a reserved table, it is quite of a culture shock. The food was pretty good. I wish the loco moco had a bit more gravy. Also, we were assigned a table with our waters out and we went to order, when we returned our drinks were gone. There seems to be some confusion on operations that can improve. I will go back to try something else though. read more

Good food great customer service. You order first then they seat you so it can be a wait time to be seated if it's busy. But they have an outdoor patio area. The inside was clean and airy. My husband's loco moco was $15 something but only came with one meat patty :( I feel like it should have had another patty for $15. I'm legit Pacific Islander and I approve of this cafe! They are located on the outskirts of Ontario Mills Mall up against the 15 freeway, south of 4th st. My family had been here before and told me it's similar to this other Hawaiian brunch cafe we visited in Laguna Hills called Plumeria by Stacks. You walk in and order and pay for your food and then they deliver it to your table. I ordered a stack of the white lava pancakes for the table and then a breakfast melt for me. The white lava pancakes were SO GOOD! They're banana pancakes with vanilla sauce and macadamia nut bits on top. I'd almost compare it to a bread pudding situation, but it's pancakes. The pancake itself is thin and maybe even a little plain which I appreciated because the vanilla sauce adds all the flavor and it was the perfect balance. The breakfast melt is delicious, especially if you're craving something savory. For drinks, I got the POG juice and it was sooo good! I loved that they gave you a large carafe of ice water too so you wouldn't have to keep asking your server for water. The staff were all very nice and our order came out in a timely manner. They have both indoor dining and an outdoor patio area to the side that's pretty big and feels isolated from the other stores nearby, it's not in front of the store so you're not exposed. Definitely stop here for breakfast if you're visiting Ontario and are staying by the airport or the mall or if you're passing through on the 15 freeway and want a great breakfast! read more

Found this place on Yelp after leaving church on Sunday. It was close to their closing time so we rushed over and the young lady at the register was super friendly. You order at the counter and they bring you the food. We ordered breakfast burrito with Portuguese sausage & added rice. Huge and really good. We also had the loco moco and it was good but gravy was just a tad bland. Service was great so we'll be back to try other items on the menu. read more

And was excited they opened one in Ontario... we came on a Saturday around 9am and there was a line out the door already but it moved fast and we ordered pretty quickly. You order first and then they tell you where to sit. Our food came out pretty fast too ! I ordered the loco moco with the hamburger patty and over easy eggs and my husband ordered the special - chicken omelette with home potatoes. The loco moco was amazing ! Hands down, the best breakfast I've had in awhile. We ordered the Ube pancakes, Banana crepes with strawberries, Triple 2, Loco Moco and Cowboy Chilaquiles. The steak on the Chilaquiles was soooo tasty. The only thing my husband regretted was getting the sausage versus the hamburger patty on the Loco Moco. We also had the Dulce the Leche iced coffee. This place is located in a medium sided shopping center. There is plenty of parking (visited on a Monday afternoon) the weekends may be busier. You order before being seated and then they bring the food to your table. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We ordered the chicken katsu curry and the clubhouse avocado sandwich with a side of spam. The sandwich had a Parmesan crust on the outside and was so crispy the side of fries we beer batter but were also super crispy. My friend order the katsu and she said it had a bit of a kick but not spicy. She said it was really good. The Mac salad was REALLY good! read more

They opened promptly at 7:30am. Ordered right away & got our food within minutes. If you're looking for real breakfast this is definitely a great place & the staff of super friendly. They have booths, chairs and also outdoor tables. I will definitely be coming back. Our food was really good & I love when they have all the creamer options. Half & Half, vanilla and hazelnut. The people here are always friendly and customer service oriented. The food is perfectly cooked, every time. Was a bit worried at first because there was a line outside the door. But once it started moving, we got to the order quickly and then sat down. Vibes are nice, very family friendly. The food... wow. Ok I'm gonna keep it straight up. This cafe will definitely hit your tastebuds like Jason Momoa and make you sing like Bruno Mars! Ok maybe that's a little too much but I can bet it will really satisfy. They have combined Hawaiian inspired dishes with an American twist to it. We ordered the Kalua Pork Benedict and their Norco Fried Rice with two over easy eggs slapped on top. I must say the Benedict was Hella delicious and with some of that Norco fried rice to go along with it was a Mouthgasm. Mmm mmm! I just love me some flavorful breakfast plates! I know for a fact I'll definitely be back! The service was good with limited parking available depending on what days you come. Had an appointment nearby super early in the morning and found this little Hawaiian breakfast gem. Looks like the establishment is fairly new and they opened not too long ago. Staff were very nice and polite. They check up on you often but at appropriate times. The vibe you get is very festive and you kind of want to move your body with the beat of the Hawaiian music they have. Food was delicious and of for me, if they have loco moco, that will always be my go to. They also have the traditional items like pancakes, scrambled egg, sausage, potato combos. Definitely a good breakfast spot to try if you're in the area. read more

Been going to the Norco location with my family for years so was so excited to hear they opened an Ontario location. Have been twice and love this location a lot more! Updated seating and more space. Be mindful that the parking here is bad as there's so many establishments around that are also busy in the mornings, the second time I came I had to park in the back. Just like the other location, you order food at the counter and then the staff will give you a table number to seat so you don't have to worry about saving a space. Food is just as excellent if not better and love the promptness of all the staff. Highly recommend the Norco Fried Rice & Portugese Sausage, as well as the Island Chilaquiles! Will be the new brunch spot forsure. read more

First time trying Scrambler Café and it did not disappoint! I ordered the BBQ Breakfast Special and my wife had the Cinnamon Roll French Toast, both were really good. The menu is huge and honestly a little overwhelming because everything sounds amazing. I'm not sure if I made the right first pick since there were so many tempting options, but that just gives me a reason to come back and try more! Both were delicious--definitely worth the calories The ube pancake wasn't too sweet, and the coconut syrup that came with it was perfect. Loved this new Hawaiian style breakfast spot that just arrived in place of the old Rubio's near Ontario Mills! They have a nice sized selection of breakfast, burgers and specialty plates. I had the chilaquiles topped with kalua pork. It's a generous portion and comes with a scoop of rice and refried beans. Also ordered the spam plate (can't remember specifically of what it was called), but it came with diced spam, rice, Teri sauce and two eggs. Very tasty! Can't wait to come back to try some of the ube pancakes or spicy chicken and waffles. There are many drink options too- matcha and teas. Service was excellent- a plus is that the restaurant asks that you place your order first and they assign a table (that is numbered) to your order and seat you. The servers brought a pitcher of water for the table as well. Manager Lily is very nice and came to check on the tables as well as helped with serving. It's nice to see when managers get in on the action! Highly recommended! I never knew that there was a location in Norco as well, and sister restaurants in the beach area under a different name. The only thing I'd say is that the Scramblers Cafe name doesn't do the Hawaiian theme justice. Forgot to add the most important part- prices... they are very reasonable!
