Visited Richie's in Rancho Cucamonga Sat Jul 18 2026 for breakfast with my 90yr old mother. We always enjoy the nostalgic 50's decor, music and the great selection of food, we especially like their Senior menu that has some delicious selections at just the right quantity. All of our past servers have been young, energetic and respectful and Natalie on this day was no different. She was very attentive and always smiling. The youth there give me hope for the future of America, they always project a sense of caring. You can tell right-away this is a neighborly place, several people walking in being greeted by name from servers and cooks in the back, all with a wide smile. I'd like to add, with the cost of going-out sky rocketing, I was surprised by, what I thought, were very reasonable pricing for a good quality meal, ambiance and service. Richie's Diner in Rancho Cucamonga is the real deal! Their menu is huge, with so many delicious options to choose from. This was my first visit, and it's conveniently located right off the 15 Freeway. We had Jenifer as our waitress (she joked that her name tag is missing an "N" ), and she was fantastic. Since it was our first time, she took the time to explain the menu, answered our questions, and even recommended we try one of the soups. Her friendly and attentive service made the experience even better. We ordered a breakfast plate, and everything was delicious. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the bacon was flavorful, and the pancakes were light, fluffy, and so good. I also had the strawberry lemonade, which is made with real strawberries, making it incredibly fresh and refreshing. For dessert, we shared the peach cobbler, and it was the perfect sweet ending to our meal. The restaurant has plenty of seating, including counter/bar seating, and there's lots of parking available. Overall, we had a great first experience and will definitely be back. If you're looking for a classic diner with great food, generous portions, and excellent service, Richie's Diner is worth a visit! read more

We went for brunch . Mom wanted breakfast, I was more for BBQ lunch. It was busy and we had a wait for a table initially 20min but really 5 min. We both went back and forth about what to order I eventually decided BBQ ribs, try tip, & chicken . She went for eggs and sausage . It turns out this is the 35 anniversary. They were giving out prizes we won a $20 certificate. Root beer floats were on a special for under $2 each . The food was excellent the service was friendly and we will put the winnings to good use on our next visit. read more

We used to come to Richie's back in the day when our kids were small. I kind of forgot about them until the other day when I stopped by Macy's with my husband. We decided to stop by for dinner on a Saturday. The waitress was friendly and helpful. I got the Country Sampler with the to-do, glazed ham, and kielbasa sausage. I wanted to get more ham and not get sausage, but the waitress said they couldn't do that. So that was a bummer. I got it with mashed potatoes and instead of green beans, I got fried zucchini. I didn't really like the batter on the zucchini. It kind of reminded me of like funnel cake. And my tri-tip was a little overcooked. My husband got the surf and turf with a ribeye steak. It was a Father's Day special they had going on that week. He enjoyed everything he ate. It was a nice night out and will have to come back in the future. read more

This place has all kinds of delicious plates. Starting with burgers and fries to ribs and amazing desserts. We got the berry cobbler and it was gone in minutes. The ribs and coleslaw were amazing! Here's the good, the okay and the bad ... This is a retro dinner with a smokin' BBQ out front and friendly staff inside. I came with a group of 6 for a Birthday and they sat us pretty quick in a booth even though 2 people were late. The food: *BBQ Ribs were cooked perfect but fattier than I like and the sauce was okay. The beans were passable but the coleslaw was amazing! *Chocolate Malt and Vanilla Shake are delicious!! *Clam Chowder was "okay". *Fried Zucchini was very good. It's really thick and cooked tempura style. Loved this! *Steak Kabobs were a fail. One plate was overcooked and my hubby said his tasted "off" and not a good cut. He got sick the next day. He had all the symptoms of food poisoning and was better the day after that. That was a bad dish! I did like that a group came to sing happy birthday with a free Hot Fudge Sunday but, because of the bad steak experience I don't think we'll be back. read more

There's a very large grill which I'll bet is active during holidays like the 4th of July! We ordered Fish and Chips and Steak and Shimp! I had the lunch portion which was plenty of food, the steak and shrimp was very large and can serve as your next meal! They have beer and wine, places where you can buy souvenirs like t-shirts, candy and even letterman jackets! It seems like a festive place and a lot of fun! They've been quick with drink refills and the food comes out pretty quickly. My go to is typically a breakfast or party melt. This time I tried one of their popular smoked meats, the rib eye, cooked on their patio grill. I'm not usually too impressed with diner steak but this one was good - perfectly salted with charred fat. You get a choice of side and it comes with a roll. Overall, Richie's is great place for a casual yummy meal. Note that the portions are big, great for sharing or packing up for a snack later. read more

I've been coming to Richie's frequently lately and each visit has been better than the last! First, each staff member has been very kind and welcoming. You're always greeted warmly upon arrival. The menu is big and everything sounds delicious- it almost makes it hard to choose! This location even has a smoker out front where they are constantly smoking meet; you can smell it when you first get out of the car. I've been here for breakfast and got some delicious pancakes! For meals so far I've had the tri tip sandwich and the grilled sourdough burger. Both had such good flavor! I've been eyeing the desserts menu too- I hear the shakes are to die for! read more

I had high expectations coming here, as the first time around I had a great experience. This time around I was not satisfied. My family and I were seated right away. We looked thru the menu & it seemed different last time I was here. My parents already knew what they were gonna order. I, however was indecisive. My mom ordered from the senior menu, my dad ordered the tri-tip combo, and I did not know what I wanted to order so I asked the server if the fish and chips were good and she said yeah so I took her word for it and ordered that. She asked me what side I wanted and I ordered onion rings. When my mom and I got our food, we were very disappointed in the portion size. The price as definitely not worth the amount of food that we received. My dad's dish, however, looked like a good enough portion size. The size of the fish that I received in my mail was so small. And I only got two large onion rings. The batter was very thick. After eating one piece of fish and one piece of onion ring, I was over it. I was still hungry, so I decided to order one single scoop of sundae. This I found delicious. It was one scoop of vanilla ice cream, chocolate drizzle, whipped cream, nuts, with cherry on top. We stopped by here after our ordeal with apple, and to say I was a bit frustrated, is an understatement....The mozzarella cheese sticks just added to the frustration... They were dry and warm at most...No good.... Then we ordered our food. Wifey got the baby back ribs (Tuesday special), I ordered the ribeye with backed potato and asparagus...This is where it went south quick... The asparagus was great, the baby back ribs, even better....The steak...was complete fat!! THE WHOLE STEAK!!! Now, as you remember, I was having a bad day to begin with....So I complained to the manager....(insta-karen came out). Now to be fair, my friend owns a meat market, I know what a ribeye is supposed to look like...This was nothing like that...The manager apologized and took it back... And then brought me the most beautiful specimen of a ribeye! It was cooked to perfection and was delicious...Made me forget I was upset!! Baked potato would have been great, just a little bit warmer. I got steak skewers and it just wasn't it.. the flavor wasn't there.. the way it was cooked wasn't great and it was chewy despite being "med/rare" a lot of pieces I simply couldn't eat/chew..
