Needed breakfast. We stopped here since it isn't too far from the highway. Dead inside and out at 8am on a Monday, not a good sign (many breakfast places would be packed.) But, it filled up as we ate, so maybe their crowd doesn't come in till a little later. Service was good, start to finish. She was ready with the hot sauce, always appreciated. Free coffee this month (February 2025.) Menu is big. Sweetie got pancakes and liked them, and a side of bacon that looked good. I was tempted by their "fiery bacon" shareable, but I knew she wouldn't want any of that and that I'd have plenty of food with my order. I went with the Country King or some such: biscuits, hash browns, eggs, sausage gravy. Good biscuits, decent hash browns, eggs cooked as ordered. Gravy was good but I could have used twice as much. Quick to be seated and the food came out pretty quickly. The hostesses were kind of yelling across the tables which I found off putting but otherwise great service. It's a solid place that maybe used to be called Scrambler Marie's that's been around for eons so clearly they're not struggling for business. This is definitely a chain as I've seen them in other cities. Waitress took our order and went back to the kitchen to put it in but came back to our table because she forgot to ask what sides we wanted? Irish Benny and Crab cake Benedict and corned beef hash were both good. Hash might have been from the can but I like canned corned beef hash. The Benedict tasted from scratch. Shredded Hashbrowns could've been better as I'm more biased towards Waffle Houses version. Waitress jacked up kiddos order where he had chocolate chip pancakes, bacon, and apple juice and instead got regular pancakes, bacon, and orange juice. I always mini-size the portion for a more reasonable portion.... and here, it's always the crispy potato chunks and rye toast. My hands-down favorite perk though? You order coffee and receive a pot to serve yourself refills. My last 2-3 visits have been spread out over a year or so, but not much has changed. Good food. Good coffee. Clean, comfortable, cheerful interior. A surprise is the staff. I notice a common thing is for staff to be 'in training' (badge only name tag indicates). Great menu selection and great service. We were looking for a place to eat and were pleasantly surprised with the menu, service, and taste. The food portions were okay excellent and the price was in line. We loved our waitress and could tell she cared not only by the service she supplied us but also in how she interacted with customers around us. She clearly understood the art of relationship building and making a customer feel valued and welcome. I can't remember her name but she had a few tattoos and one of a shark. Katherine was our server today, she was very polite, efficient, and funny. My husband and I visit the scramblers every weekend. Today the 2 sisters the one that is and Lpn and had a new baby told her sister to look at me I think they were making fun of my glasses or something the other turned around and directly looked at ran back to the back laughing. They were back there laughing. This world is cruel and mean especially these two I never thought they were mean nasty whatever. I hope the drs office that hired her thinks twice because if someone comes in and is different I can imagine how they would feel. I have been very ill the last 2 1/2 years the hair falling out the tube hanging out the belly barely able to do anything then subjected to this kind of treatment. I've been here a handful of times and I've never ordered breakfast bc I'm not a big breakfast person so I won't be helpful there, but my family likes it. Let me start by saying that I'm big on service so my complaint may not even bother others. Seven times I've been to this place and other than the one to go order we've always had very slow service. Twice I had to get up and request service and one time I had to get a different waiter bc it was 15 mins from the time we were seated and still no drink orders were even taken. We also learned after the first visit that we had to order the French toast refill right away bc it took 25 mins the first time and everyone was done eating before my husband got his refill. Not to mention out original food order is usually 20-30 mins from the time we order. Now the food... I think the prices are very reasonable and for someone who likes breakfast, you can't beat endless pancakes or French toast for the price. I like some of the items bc they have a good twist. For example the taco salad uses Chorizo instead of regular ground beef or chicken. The One and One I think is good bc you can pick two items of you're really unsure. It was a good way for me to try two things in one visit. The manager was really sweet and definitely wiling to make things right when one if the wait staff decided to actually tell her about our complaint. I think this could be a palace I would go to more often if their service was better and we didn't have to wait so long for food. The pancakes were okay, but nothing special. The waitress only provided one small syrup bottle which wasn't enough for everyone. My mom and dad's waffles were so hard they crunched as they cut through them. Their second waffles were better but that is not a good impression. I had never heard of this place before and my BF's mother likes it. When we first arrived, there was a 15-20 minute wait. It actually only turned out to be 10 minutes AND they offer free hazelnut coffee while you wait! I thought that was a nice touch to them realizing that this breakfast/brunch spot has long waits. We were seated. This was one of the rare times that just about EVERYTHING on the menu sounded really good--and the menu is pretty large. I went with a veggie omelet that I asked just be scrambled, hashbrowns as my side, and a blueberry muffin as my baked item. My boyfriend got the Uncle Moose's Manhandler which I believe had 3 different meats. HIs mother got 3 original pancakes. We all really liked our food. I thought mine was especially good. The only downer was that I really don't like celery or peppers, and they couldn't remove those from my scramble as the mix is pre-made. Otherwise, the portion was large and both my BF and I got complete meals out of the leftovers. I concentrated on my blueberry muffin while we were actually at the restaurant, more than eating my actual meal. It was very soft and crumbly. Omlettes are huge (4 eggs!) but you can get smaller for less money. I HIGHLY recommend the "premium" bacon. Well worth it if you're a bacon lover! Hubby had blueberry waffles and I had french toast. The first bonus is free cups of coffee while you wait (small sample cups). We didn't actual have to wait more than a minute while the waitress got a sling for our little one. I like their menu as they have a nice variety of breakfast food from healthy to pancakes to omelettes. Most of their meals range from $6 to $9 which is decent. They have bottomless pancakes but since I can make pancakes up without much mess or time I find it hard to order pancakes, waffles, or french toast anywhere. I can't make crepes so I chose the seafood crepe. The crepe was covered in Hollondaise sauce which I love. The description for the crepe stated that it had a sweet cream sauce with crab, but I missed the sweet cream sauce. I pictured the crepe to be like a crab salad mixture with a little sweetness. It was chunks of imitation crab with a little dill. I liked it but a little disappointed. My wife ordered the Moose Manhandler which is hash browns on bottom and cheese, eggs, and I think, gravy on top. Her take was that it was oversalted and not worth ordering again. Service was good. The seafood benny was very good but they really skimped on the hash browns. They could have doubled the portion of hash browns and still have room on the plate. But what was really outstanding was their service. We needed to bring someone to the airport, so they prepared our food lightening fast, without sacrificing quality (but again, could have cooked up some more hash browns).
