I hate to be a stick in the mud…read more.. But this location needs help. It's SO hard to know which line is open, there's so much waiting because they ring everything up by hand and enter in codes, and while the staff is super helpful and kind, it seems like the setup is sabotaging sales. I've seen people put stuff down and leave without buying, and I almost did that but really needed the item. Please get more cashiers or update your system to something more modern to move the line faster. Bright side, super fun to just walk thru and get your steps in on a hot summer day.

The Filipino lady that was working on the register called the manager. I asked her what's the problem. She said her manager need to approve it. Her manager came over same lady. I have had a problem with several times and said did you buy this like this? I said yes I did when I opened it. The top lid was broken. She stood there, looked the item up and down and said I'm going to go look for another item like this. If it's not broken, would you take it? I said yes I have already been back there looking for the item there were two sets of bowls that were broken also. She came back and said the bowls are broken. The fact that I'm an African American woman and I have to go through this shit all the time with Hobby lobby. The white manager is so prejudice and she knows it.. I told her it's sad that blacks are still going through racism. She looks smirked and laugh. I told the Filipino cashier you were wrong. She pretend she didn't hear me the next time I go in there. I'm taking pictures of the white manager please Black people stay away from this Hobby lobby.

Today, I brought my son and he really enjoyed how his project turned out!! I'm already trying to plan to bring my Daughter-in-Law - who lives out of state - when they come out for a visit! This is one of those projects you go in thinking, 'Oh my! Am I gonna be able to do this?' ... then you walk out with an amazing piece of art that you created. And if you have any issues while you're working on your project, either FiFi or her assistant are walking around offering any help you need! They also offer other classes in the next room over - I'll have to check it out and see what other classes I can try. But for now, I really enjoy this Rug Tufting class!! Can't wait to come back to do another one!!

My girlfriend and I went for their silver jewelry workshop, and we both made our own rings. We had the owner helping us throughout the process, from forming the clay in the shape we wanted, to heating, buffering, and polishing! She was really helpful, especially to me since I'm not the best with arts and crafts. I loved the way our rings came out, and these are both our favorite rings. I'd highly recommend coming to Soft Land for anyone looking for fun arts and crafts projects to try hands on! We're looking to come back for their stained glass workshop in the future ^_^

I live by LAX and the ceramic studio that I belong to doesn't do Raku firings. HOWEVER, last year…read moreand this year we were able to come here to experience the art of Raku. It was like an educational hands on field trip for us. Also a fun way to be more creative and collaborative with another ceramic studio. I had a fantastic experience last year and when I found out that we were going to be able to return this year, I jumped on the opportunity! They provide the glazes, the brushes and their expertise. There were several people helping us during this event. Every single staff member was an expert in Raku. They knew so much about their glazes and combinations, the entire firing operation, reduction and post firing procedures. There's a lot of down time while waiting for the kiln to reach its optimum temperature. We got to ask the staff all kinds of questions. They were eager to interact with us: warm and inviting, full of great advice and really knowledgeable ceramicists. Such great team work! They don't talk down to anyone, even praised some of our potter's art work. I loved hearing people share how they made their pieces, and I was proud to share my own story about the construction of my "bird bath" - as one of my fellow ceramicist called it. The participation between the two studios was phenomenal! Thank you Dave, Erik, Oscar, Mary, Darrell and Elise. Sorry that Scott wasn't with us today. You guys are fantastic!!! By the way, thanks to you, Dave and Erik, I absolutely love the way my pieces came out! Your patience and advice made my day. For those of you nay sayers, I've been doing ceramics since 1972, so I kind of think I know something about clay. Bravo! If I live long enough, I'll be back! A million stars for the Clay Yard!
