We ordered from here tonight and here are my thoughts. We ordered a large, thin crust with pepperoni and sausage. The sauce and cheese were delicious. My only complaint was the consistency of toppings. Several slices did not contain sausage. My daughter ordered a Mediterranean Chicken Salad and she said it had no flavor. I think if they up their quality control it would be much better. I had to drop a star for the bland salad. I will still order from them again in the future and give them another chance. read more

The location was great since my daughters take dance class a few buildings down. I ordered 2 calzones that came with 2 toppings. They were okay I think they would have been better with sauce inside, they gave me sauce on the side but it was cold. I also ordered a side of pasta for the kids. They had 2 choices of sauces so I said something plain for the kids. That pasta was so spicy and it had lots of garlic. This order was to go otherwise I probably would have asked for a different pasta as my kids couldn't eat it. Next time I think we will just try the pizza. read more

**Update 7/2/17** Could not be more irritated. Ordered 2 medium, 2 topping pizzas and a Cesar salad. The pizza comes and the Margherita pizza is just cheese pizza with limp basil sprinkled on. I called them to say they forgot the tomatoes, and they said they consider the tomato sauce the tomatoes. I spoke with a female manager on duty over the phone and said basically you sold me a cheese pizza with basil and called it Margherita? She said, "yeah, I guess." Riddle me this, if you're considering the tomato sauce the tomato topping, why isn't tomato listed as a topping on every pizza with tomato sauce? So you listed "organic tomatoes" as a topping then just give people regular cheese pizza with basil?! Super deceiving, the pizza was rubbery and gross, the delivery driver doesn't carry cheese or peppers.... I paid $30 for a barely warm medium cheese pizza with some basil, a barely warm medium Baja pizza, and a salad. Gross. You guys either need to list tomatoes as a topping for every single pizza with tomato sauce, or remove tomato from the listed toppings on the margherita. "First bite says it all" ... disaster pants for 5 of the 6 people who consumed the pizza from Scratch Pizza. Upon numerous recommendations. From friends we ordered 3 XL 3 topping pizzas on 8/6/17 for fast eats while we were packing and moving. The 5 people who got sick from this pizza all ate pizza that had meat toppings (pepperoni, sausage, ham) the 1 lucky person who did not get sick had vegetarian pizza. We called the store to make a complaint and we were offered a free pizza, come on now if your pizza made the majority of our family sick why in the world would we want to eat it again? The person who we spoke with on the phone said that they'd leave a message for the owner/manager to give us a call to discuss the situation but here we are 10 days later and still no call. If I could give zero stars I would. The pizza was mediocre at best, the customer service was lackluster, and the fact that no one has returned our phone calls regarding the pizza making our family sick ensures that we will never be visiting Scratch Pizza again. I regret having paid cash for this purchase because at least I could dispute the charge with my bank and not be out money on this terrible pizza. Shame on you Scratch Pizza for not taking care of your customers. ***Even more disappointed with this establishment upon reading the comment from Steven below. After 10 days of waiting for a phone call to be returned Steven can't even acknowledge that their pizza made my family sick. Unless there is proof that every single person that ordered pizza that day from this specific location did not get sick that bit of information is irrelevant to my experience. While all ingredients are said to be fresh and the ovens a specific temperature that does not account for human error; did the employee wash their hands before touching the food, was the food stored in a refrigerator at the proper temperature, was the equipment clean, was it put away in a timely manner as to not promote bacteria growth, where was the pizza stored from the time it was finished being made to the time I picked it up so that the meat didn't go into the "danger zone" in terms of food safety, etc. Maintaining an 'A' at a food establishment is not the hardest of tasks; I have worked in many food establishments and an 'A' shows that your practices meet the MINIMUM requirement by the Health Department. So because you mentioned your high rating I did check the department of environmental health website and your establishment (Norco location) on June 12, 2017 scored a 96 of 100 points possible with the County of Riverside Department of Environmental Health. Your establishment had 1 point deducted for lack of vermin proofing, air curtains, or self-closing doors, linens and wiping cloths improperly used or stored and 2 points because equipment and utensils were not properly installed or cleaned. And if you look at the Riverside location it is even more alarming while still maintaining a 96 score points were deducted for inadequate hand washing facilities and food contact surfaces were not cleaned and sanitized. While I appreciate actually receiving feedback, Steven, taking any ounce of ownership over this incident would have been much more appreciated. Please also note I have made a formal complaint with the County of Riverside Department of Environmental Health. read more

Let me start by saying that I've never had a issue at Scratch Pizza, service is always great and the pizza is good. I stopped by Scratch tonight and ordered an XL cheese pizza, I stepped outside because I was on a phone call. I'm looking in the window and see the young take the pizza out of the oven, place it in the box and cut it. He then placed it on top of the oven, the young man that took my order went over and opened the box to make sure it's the right pizza. This is ok so far but the other young man went over and touched the pizza with his hand, I'm not sure what that was about. They turned around and saw me looking at them through the window and motioned that my pizza was ready. I shook my head no, the young man that touched the pizza brought the box to the door and said your pizza is ready. I told him, I don't think so. He asked, "do you want me to remake it?" I said yes, he went in and was making a comment because the young lady that was working looked towards the window. I went inside and asked, am I supposed to take that because I'm not. I stepped back outside and after a few minutes the young man that took my order came to the door and asked if I wanted a free drink. I didn't stop there looking to get something for free, I just wanted the pizza I paid for and it not to be fondled after it was baked. First time coming in and was greatly disappointed. Took over forty minutes to get two pizzas. Then another twenty minutes to get the garlic knots we ordered with the original order. Five of five plates were dirty and they had to go and wash new ones before we could eat, mind you our pizza was sitting on the table getting cold while we waited for the plates to be washed. We tried Scratch Pizza in Norco for the first time yesterday. I was enticed by their XL pizza with 5 toppings for $11. (Tues special). It did not disappoint! Cooked perfectly on the crust. Generous amounts of fresh toppings!!! If I only had one word of advice, it would be to take the extra few seconds to make sure the toppings are distributed a bit more evenly. We got pepp, bacon, ham, pineapple and onions. Delicious!! Sorry I forgot to take a pic because we devoured it! Keep it up guys! Those 30$ pies ain't got nothin on you. We'll def be back! read more

Decided to give Scratch a try tonight based on reviews and recommendations from others in the area. Called in an order for an XL pizza, half scratch classic and half vegetarian with no mushrooms. Also, ordered a family size house salad with ranch AND Italian on the side. My wife picked up the pizza, walked in the door and said "that place is expensive, $30 for a pizza and salad!" Took a look at the receipt to find we were charged for the XL scratch classic plus the four toppings included on the vegetarian. Called them back and Tyler got the manager. She proceeded to tell me that I was over charged for two toppings, but not four. Confused, I questioned why they wouldn't just charge us for the more expensive pizza, since we did half and half. The manager proceeded to tell me that they charged us for artichokes and onions since those are not included in the vegetarian. Funny, looking at their menu they are included. The manager says she will give us credit for two free toppings on our next visit. Okay. My wife opened the salad only to find out they did not included the ranch dressing, only the Italian. Don't mess with mama's salad! My wife called back and talked to the same manager that I spoke with. The lady gave my wife the same song and dance about the charges for the toppings and when my wife said "you charged us for ranch dressing and didn't include it" the manager tells her it's in the bag...nope it wasn't. Wife got upset and said forget the credit fix the charges on my card. Note to scratch management, don't piss off customers over forty five cents! Now for the food. Salad was mediocre, we expected much more for a "family" size. If your family consists of 2, maybe 3 people you are good. Ingredients in the salad were fresh but they certainly skimp on the cheese and tomatoes. Pizza was okay, nothing special. Sauce was tasteless and crust was bland. No seasoning or spices used. Veggies were crisp and fresh and toppings were plentiful. Other than the toppings there was nothing else positive to say. Oh, by the way, their XL only has 10 slices, it's comparable to other places large pizza. I rated it two stars for the fresh vegetables ND toppings, but that's not enough to bring us back to Scratch. The fact that we had to call and argue about being over charged was ridiculous. Do yourself a favor if you are considering this place, drive North on the 15 a couple of exits and visit Jojo's pizza. I first was drawn to the location by the inviting appearance of the store and it's simple branding outside. When I came in I was greeted by Tyler who provided me several options that would work for a single hungry man. I went with the personal pizza with ricotta and andouille sausage which was prepared by Kristen. I was excited to try it since ricotta is one of my favorite cheeses and any person that includes it on their menu and recipe, knows how to make a good pizza. I recieved the pizza on my table.The first bite hit my expectations and then some. Probably the best pizza I've had for under $25 bucks. Maybe the best period. Idk. I'd have to go to a pizza competition where I was judge. Anyways great people, great food, clean bathroom. Only complaint is that I burned my lips on a certain section of the slice on my 4th bite. Came here for the first time and was somewhat happy with the vegan pizza. They custom made breadsticks without cheese, which was my favorite thing I ate here! The pizza dough and sauce is amazing but the pizza needs a bit more seasoning. Vegan cheese sometimes needs more love than regular cheese and you could tell they didn't really try with the recipe. Staff was great and it's always great to see vegan options! However I don't plan on eating here again anytime soon. read more

Wow. I thought I ordered a bbq CHICKEN pizza. Not a cheese pizza with bbq sauce. There was in total about a TABLESPOON of chicken on the whole medium pizza. We paid $28 and change for 2 medium specialty pizzas, one bbq chicken and one scratch special. About the same amount of red onion, so I basically paid $14 for bread cheese and sauce. Ok first off I love this place. They have a dairy free option. Now I am not vegan or vegetarian I just cannot eat dairy. They have a dairy free cheese that they can use to make pizza. The only reason I am not giving them a 5 star review is the hours. Half the time I want their pizza they are closed. Today is Thursday and they do not open until 2pm. I like their cauliflower crust pizza. The sauce is a bit spicier than other places, but very good for the price. However, this is NOT Keto. All "cauliflower crust" has rice flour as their binder- ask them or check nutrition online- this is why it tastes almost normal. It's about 60 or 70 grams of carbs, so lower carb but NOT low carb. This pizza will throw you out of ketosis ASAP if you're not already fat adapted. I hope they follow Blaze and add a Keto crust (about 15 carbs?), with cauliflower, egg, and cheese. The staff here is always nice! Last week I sent an order in online before they opened, and it was ready right away. Ordered one of their specials 4 toppings cauliflower personal pizza. I chose pineapples, ham, ricotta, and jalapenos. Compared to the cauliflower crust at Pieology, which is literally a cracker consistency, this was more thin crust which I love. I can't even spot the grease on the pizza which is awesome. I wish their was more jalapenos on the pizza and the ricotta a little more melted into the pizza, but overall really good. read more
