Great options on scuba and snorkeling gear. They close at 4 pm but we came late about 10 til and they were still able to help us and without rushing us, which I appreciated very much. Came for the near-sighted snorkeling mask. They had numerous options and we were happy with the choices. We have not tried them yet, so I can't speak for quality. Got my first polespear from them and it's been great. The 6ft carbon fiber is a great middle ground between the beginner aluminum ones and the high-level 300$ ones, but it's only 80$ or so. Also, the customer service has been fantastic - James helped me get set up for an upcoming spearfishing trip over the phone and got me everything I needed. I'm not one to usually write reviews, but I have to for this place. I'm going to Hawaii and I wanted to get a prescription snorkel mask. I'm blind as a bat without glasses (contacts don't sit well in my eyeballs!) so I've never been able to see underwater. I'd use goggles and see general shapes but never anything in detail. I called a few places and prices usually started at more that $200 and climbed from there. I'm not an avid scuba diver or snorkeler, so I did not want to have a pair machined for me for several hundred dollars, but I was starting to resign to that idea.... until I found Scuba Choice. I called them and drove from Santa Fe Springs during my lunch to pick up a pair. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes with a prescription mask. For less than $60 I had the mask and the snorkel (I used a coupon for checking in via yelp). I was super skeptical. I didn't know if a pair that cost a fraction of what every other place had told me would work. I jumped in my pool to try it out and found out I have never really seen the bottom of my pool clearly. They're great! I'm so excited to see the fishies in Hawaii! read more

Last time I tried uploading pics and review it failed. I was referred to Stevie by a scuba diving friend. She told me Stevie has a large warehouse and I can pick a lot of variety of gears at reasonable price. Stevie also supplies to Walmart and amazon, so essentially I'm paying online dealer prices for store experiences. I can try them on, I can do service and fill tanks here. And I also get to check out small gadgets. This is my first shop for every water activity. Most of the time Stevie has it, if not, I will sadly have to try online stores. Stevie has also become a dear friend of mine, we went scuba diving a few times, and he's funny and easy going. He knows a lot of instructors and supply them gears. Somehow we also have a lot of friends in common as time goes by, the Chinese scuba community is quite small and concentrated here. Stevie is super honest about gears, he does not put his profit at first, he values customer experience and economical value for the right customer. I wanted a spear gun, he told me I should just get a spear pole, not only it's cheaper, more importantly is because I don't have enough strength to pull a spear gun several times in water. I should just use an easy one. Same thing with regulators. He knows I have a budget and he recommends me the ones that essentially are made by the same manufacture but under different label for my recreational diving. He also does rentals. It's such a wonderful experience that the scuba shop owner has become a friend that you actually can dive with. And he puts customer's comfort and utility( economical value) of gear first than his profit. He values long term relationship with customers and he wants the best result for every customer. For the price and reliability, you can't go wrong with Stevie's scuba choice. He even imported cartoon hoods since I kept nagging him to get some. read more
