I had lunch here after an afternoon of paddle boarding nearby, decided to eat here on a whim. It was fairly busy, but we were seated pretty quickly, in seats overlooking the water, and our server was incredibly friendly and helpful. I had the Sunshine salad, and my friend had the buffalo chicken tacos. We were both really happy with our meals, and just as happy with the view of the water, tiki drinking boats, a few dolphin, And lots of foot traffic on dock just below us. The food was okay & not great. The service was okay & not great. There was an issue with one order was forgotten which left our guest without his food while the rest of us ate. Finally we got the rest of our order. At the time of payment I reminded server about the delay & management would only agree to half off the delayed plate. The service was very slow here. There wasn't a lot of people here either. The ambiance was nice although outside had a fowl smell and drove us inside to sit. We ordered drinks and it took a very long time to receive them. The waiter was complaining about being given a bunch of tables so that contributed for sure. Took a long time to place our order also. Once we finally ordered it took a long time for the food to be delivered. Once delivered there were two pasta dishes that were hot as heck. The other dishes were all cold. We had to send back the baked potato. We finally canceled the potato because we were done and full. Grouper bites should not be cold. Sculley's is absolutely delicious! We had a group of six and indulged in stuffed mushrooms, lobster bisque, seafood mac and cheese, shrimp po' boy, mahi tacos, and the mahi sandwich. I sampled everything, and it was all fantastic. Personally, my favorite was the stuffed mushrooms! Additionally, Sculley's exudes a wonderful Florida vibe in a cool, touristy area of St. Pete! We had lunch here on a Tuesday. Not very busy at all. A beautiful day to look at all the boats coming and going through the channel and watching the drawbridge open and close was very cool. We sat outside on the deck up high that looked down along the dock. The bartender also acted as our waiter and seemed to be okay. A number of the items do not have pricing on the menu and are MKT or market price. I've never seen that done for drinks and cocktails though. It's a little uncomfortable to have to ask what the prices of a pina colada are when you go to a bar. I've just never seen it. Strawberry daiquiri is $11 and a semi-alco reduced margarita is $9. Most fish dishes are in the high $20 range. You just have to be sure to ask what the pricing is. The building and facilities are a little weathered naturally due to the salt air and a type of storms that are typical to the tropical areas. They are another silly restaurant that has a 3% surcharge on your bill where you are basically covering their credit card usage. I really dislike those. This is a California thing where businesses now want you to pay for the back of house and related cost. Bury that stuff in the price of the product. It's a tough spot to dislike when you're sitting on the water but it's a tourist trap and the prices reflected. We had three small mahi tacos and they were $22.45 a piece. Seems a little pricey to me but they got ya. Possibly why they're not so busy. A french fry flight was $13 for three little tiny baskets of french fries with sauce. read more

By far the best part of the experience was server Holly and Manager Suzie. Also hostess who greeted us was lovely. First time at this iconic tourist spot in the popular St John's Pass zone. Food was just ok. And unfortunately whatever they use to clean leaves an almost overpowering, unpleasant scent that doesn't really dissipate the longer you sit inside. This is a great spot on the water. Outside seating gives a perfect view of the water, dolphins, incoming and outgoing boats, and pelicans. We had lunch and the food was very good. The shrimp po' boy was the best I've ever had. Fish tacos were also very good and filling. The lunch special contained one Taco which was good enough but the flavor leaves you wanting more. Also, opt for the full po' boy, not half. It's too good to just get a half. The service was great. Staff were friendly and food came out quick. Price was very reasonable. 5 people for lunch with drinks was around $150. Oh, and cocktails were perfect. The only down side is pigeons will land on the deck and walk under your table. The inside of the of the Sculley's is pretty quiet, theres music but it's pretty light. The funny names for the kids menu are like the ones at Caddy's but for some reason there's only four options. My main course was popcorn shrimp (which had tails for some reason) and French fries, for my food I'd give it a 9/10. One person in family was still waiting on their meal after everyone else got theirs. Kids eat free Mondays. The shrimp scampi there was supposed to have garlic but there wasn't. read more

We are locals that try to stay away from tourist traps. We only went here as a favor to Mom who used to frequent this place 10 to 15 years ago and has fond memories of going there with our late Dad for excellent food and the water view. Went here on a Friday afternoon. Place was mostly empty. Hubbie had a brunch burger--it was very good and very messy--fires were extra which was odd. The poly-cloth napkin was not of much use in to clean up the drips. Mom and I had the Red Snapper--it was so overcooked that it was dry and crunchy!! Since husband and I both have been in the restaurant business and prefer to take a place off our list rather than complain, we opted not to send the meals back. The Red Snapper fish ($30 a plate) flavor was good and a good size portion --just dry and way overcooked- we asked for sides of drawn butter and lemon to be able to eat the fish. Mom's rice under the Snapper --which tasted very good----had a small piece of plastic wrap in it, we are lucky that she did not choke on it!! My husband had to hunt down the pepper mill--I suppose that Covid has killed the thought of getting salt and pepper at a table--oh wait--that is all over--in all the other restaurants we enjoy!! For the price we could have had a huge Prime Rib at Cody's or a great meal at another local tavern. In the end we told the waitress about the dry fish--she said she would tell the cook--and was nice --reminding us that we could have sent it back! Save yourself the agony of a poor fish meal--order a burger or pass on this place!! read more

Total lack of hospitality at the inside bar. Long time resident and try to avoid John's pass due to tourist traffic. Brought some friends in shopping and thought I would stop and have a beer. Wow. Alone at the bar. 2 guys leaving. I sat there waiting........15 minutes passed by. 6 guys walk up and she immediately got to their order. Scullys you may be busy during tourist season....but I'm sure not the only missed off customer this bartender has created. Good luck.
