Holy Moly, Bloody Mary! Such a great location, overlooking the pier. Great staff. Service is okay for how busy it is. You can't miss this restaurant on St John's Pass... it takes up half of the pier; literally! They have a limited breakfast menu, it is geared toward adults of drinking age, FYI. My daughter had a yogurt/ fruit parfait. It was good. However, the star of the show was my Bloody Mary draped with shrimp, king crab legs, celery, olives, pickles, candied chipotle bacon and a grilled cheese sandwich. Everything was good and you can take your remaining Bloody Mary to go as long as you remain on St. John's Pass. So fun! read more

The atmosphere was neat, but there were a lot of birds flying over us into the bar area. I'm not sure that could be helped, but maybe netting or some sort of deterrent would help that we've seen at other outdoor eating areas. Ok so I came from Vegas for that Bloody Mary! I like to travel for these monsters! It was $175 for the Category 5. I split it with 3 of my friends. Comes with 2 grilled cheese, bacon, 1lb of jumbo shrimp, 2 lobster tails and 2 lbs of snow crab! All of the seafood was good! The bloody was fine, nothing to write home about and the service was good! We also ordered the smoked fish dip which I really enjoyed. I love the view of the water and it had a fun outdoor beach vibe. The only thing I DID NOT like about that Bloody Mary was the SWEET pickles!!!! I love my pickles dill. My son and I walked to Sculley's from the beach while we were in the area recently. We were originally going to go to a different restaurant because they had a better Yelp rating but then changed our mind and had lunch here because of the outdoor setting. It was more of the vibe we were looking for. We scanned the Yelp reviews to see what menu items were recommended by other reviewers. My son ordered the Cowboy Burger with fries and I ordered the Mahi Mahi tacos with the kettle chips. My son said the burger was good but on the spicy side given it has jalapeños on it. The Mahi Mahi tacos did not disappoint. There were 3 tacos. I felt they were pretty filling as I could only eat 2 of them. My son ate the last one which he enjoyed. The kettle chips were amazing. Our server Tanya was super nice, checked on us multiple times, and let us sit there longer than I would say is normal because we were enjoying the view and good conversation. My take away from this experience was that we were glad we read some of the other reviews so our experience turned out great. read more

Meh.. we did a cute little day trip to St, Pete's and visited Sculley's mainly to enjoy the water view and of course expecting a delicious meal. The water views are amazing, you can see plenty of water traffic, jet skis, boats, sail boats, and many pelicans/seagulls. The food was the 'meh' part of the day, i got fish tacos, the filling was 80% lettuce & the fish was def not fresh, we also got a chicken quesadilla that was okay, but was brought cold. I would recommend you visit for the views & maybe have a beer? Not so much for the food... staff were nice, seemed to be knowledgeable, but the food took about 45 mins to be served.. read more

Had lunch with family during spring break. We walked up. Didn't have reservations and they sat us right away. It was before the lunch rush. We sat outside on the deck on the water. The view and breeze was great. Drinks were also good. Our waitress was friendly and funny. We did the wedge salad and seafood boils. We were a party of 4. We all had a different one and I shared with my 10yr old. We had crab legs for days. I also got the prawn. It was bigger than my hand. Lol Come hungry. OMG it was so good. Opted for the hot Sculley's sauce. It's the blend of all 3. I was very pleased. We go back and forth on this restaurant as it is an excellent location, especially for dolphin watching and people watching. We are never overly excited about our meals whether it be lunch or dinner, but we always go back as this is the best option for this area. We tried brunch for the first time and ordered the country eggs Benedict and the shrimp and grits. The grits were good but the poached eggs were hard boiled and very dry and the hashbrowns were over cooked/burnt and only tasted of burnt grease. I also ordered a mimosa and it was only orange juice. We decided to have a few beers while we enjoyed the weather outside, but disappointed all beer is in cans, no draft options. You get what you expect. Great location but not amazing food. Great place to sit on the water and watch the tours go in and out and the boats go by on John's Pass. Island dive bar atmosphere with good drinks and reasonable prices. Quick and friendly service, even outdoors on a hot day! But this place is best at night looking at the lights and enjoying a cool ocean breeze. Their signature Bloody Mary is delicious - my only regret is that our party wasn't big enough to get the one that comes with a lobster tail, a grilled cheese and a pound of snow crab as garnishes. One of the best gems of Johns Pass. It has a great ambiance and beautiful waterfront views. The service has always been excellent. I do love the food here, especially if you are in the mood for a custom seafood boil. The food and drinks are super delish, and the main meals are really yummy. I wasn't the biggest fan of the appetizers we ordered; they were pretty average. Definitely still one of my favorite places to grab a bite, watch the sunset, and if you're lucky, see some dolphins. read more

Nice place to sit by the water and have a bite to eat. The birds are a pain but it's nature and it's Florida deal with it. Food was pretty good mahi tacos were ok grouper was better. Went here on vacation went visiting John's Pass. There were three women hosts standing outside, not one smile or greeting lol. Should've known it was going to go downhill from there. Once we were sat, we were walked by several times by the waitress who ended up helping us. (restaurant was not busy at all) We got our food before we even got our waters/lemonades.. was told after 30 minutes and asking a second time that they didn't have any ice. Beer was hotter than room temperature in the bottle so we asked for a cold glass to put it in, was told "we might have one somewhere" and they came back with a room temperature glass. Oysters were alright, nothing special. Definitely not cold and refreshing as they should be Cesar salad was almost $20 with grilled chicken and it came with no cheese, a single small crostini, Cesar dressing (on the side?) and about 5 small pieces of grilled chicken. We said something about it (nicely) and the waitress said "it depends who is making it. We only get one crostini but I can see if I can get more" Very upset about this experience, it was a very hot day and we were looking forward to cold drinks, water and refreshing food. It's large enough to accommodate lots of people and groups larger than 2-4 people- making it a great stop for our group of 6. Service was good, not super fast but friendly. Several of us had the market fresh fish sandwiches. I ordered my sandwich with GF bun, it fell apart immediately. Not worth the up charge. Also ordered the piña colada, which unfortunately was made with a piña colada mix they're never as good as fresh made. Overall, I would choose for the location and the ability to take larger groups. It's really the ambiance and view you should come for, but the food isn't too bad either! Definitely recommend the marshmallow dip with the sweet potato fries! The blackened fish tacos are also pretty decent, a little heavy with the toppings, but still good. This place is deceptively huge, and once you go and walk around, you'll see what I mean. Expect to pay for parking (anything on the water nowadays). Plenty to do, shopping wise, once you are done and want to walk off your meal. read more

We had such a great experience at Sculley's! They were very accommodating to our large party, even without a reservation, which we really appreciated. We started with the calamari appetizer--perfectly crisp and the sauce paired with it was spot on. The Caesar salad was also fresh and tasty. For our mains, we created our own seafood boils and they did not disappoint! Each bite was packed with flavor, and the portions were very generous--we even had enough leftovers for another meal the next day. Walked in last Friday memorial weekend at 8:45 and was told they were closing at 9. It wasn't 9 yet so we just asked if we could just order something easy. This waiter came by and said we'll take care of you go ahead and sit down. Have a beer ordered fish and chips and it was total mush the worst fish and chips I've ever had my buddy ordered a swordfish sandwich without the bread the swordfish fillet was literally 1/8 of an inch thick and was dry and disgusting he didn't even eat it. The last two visits we found it Overpriced, it's not clean, service was bad with waiting close to an hour from being seated to having food served for the most recent visit. Food was mediocre.
