Being outdoors was nice; there was great weather. Our waiter was a little too personable & stood at our table talking even after we got our food and I did not appreciate that as I was there to enjoy a meal with my husband. Otherwise he was great & kind to us. The food came out extremely fast and it was hot which I did appreciate very much. We did have to wait about 30 mins(originally told 45-50 mins) and that was a great surprise to not have to wait as long. The inside was clean and inviting. Very aesthetically pleasing. The worst fresh Grouoer ever! It was very fishy tasting. I order fresh Grouper all of the time in the Tampa area and never had this happen. I will never go back there. $40 meal which the manager comped me $15 so I paid $25 for carrots! Nice restaurant on the boardwalk of John's pass! We enjoyed a delicious dinner and drinks while overlooking the water. Don't Waste Your Money. After walking thru John's Pass and wanting to have a nice seafood dinner, we stopped at Sculley's for a meal. Dining here was a disaster. The Grouper nugget appetizer's, although tasty were fried and very greasy. The Fish and Chips come with fries, which I was able to substitute baby potatoes. It was ridiculous that the potatoes were sprinkled with something and not only an upcharge but served COLD. Needed to ask the server to take them back to warm them up, but nowhere to be found. Needed to go out and find him. Never ate them. The fish and chips entrée tasted of stale oil. Hopefully the rum runner drink I ordered would drown out my meal, but alas, it was so weak that it was probably just fruit punch. Expensive fruit punch. What a waste of time and money. This establishment is a factory and no bargain, serving cheap food at gourmet prices. It's on the water and although the views were nice, this place is a first-class Tourist Trap. Finally, the server stands over you while paying the bill electronically. I don't like that. We will never return. read more
