They do not stand behind their work…read more Spent over $23,000 on landscaping and construction services from this company less than 2 years ago, and have had terrible service from the moment final payment was made. When Brandon (my contact) told me which plants they intended to install, I told him some wouldn't survive the hot, dry, full-sun location. He insisted they would work, and told me they all had a one-year guarantee. Within three months, when they started to die, I sent him photos and asked that they be replaced with others. Despite promises they would be changed (at least six times over the next few months), they were never replaced. Likewise, the artificial turf that was installed was not installed with enough/the right adhesive and the turf has become a serious tripping hazard. Again, calls to Brandon were met with promises that someone would come out to fix it, and no one ever did. Repeated messages were not returned. Last month an obviously broken irrigation pipe under the tile/artificial turf they installed caused flooding in my yard. When I called the company to ask for someone to come out to evaluate what could be done, Jordan told me Brandon no longer worked for the company. (I guess that explains why my messages weren't returned.) Jordan told me he was Brandon's replacement, and that he would be out in two days to take a look. 10 days later, he came out and confirmed it was a broken pipe, but said my warranty had expired and there would be a charge to repair the pipe. He told me it would require the large tiles and turf to be demolished to find the problem, but he'd send me an estimate. It's been over a month and again, I've been ghosted. I consulted another irrigation specialist who told me that if a pipe underground ha broken, it was likely cracked when it was installed. I hope this serves as a warning for anyone considering paying this company to do landscaping and installation.

What made this project especially important to us was that we managed the entire job remotely from our home in Northern California. Danny made that process remarkably easy. He communicated consistently, answered every question thoroughly, sent frequent photos and videos, and kept us informed throughout the preparation and installation. We never felt out of the loop. The quality of the work was outstanding. Their team removed the existing decomposed granite, properly prepared and graded the area, installed and compacted a base, added the weed barrier, carefully laid and trimmed the turf around curved borders and existing stepping stones, secured the edges and seams, applied the upgraded zeolite infill, and power-broomed the finished surface. They clearly cared about the details--not just whether it looks good on installation day. Danny also stood out during the bidding process. We received several quotes, and he was transparent about the exact turf product, specifications, backing, base preparation, and infill options. He did not simply recommend the most expensive upgrade. Instead, he explained what he believed was the best balance of durability, appearance, and long-term value for a family rental property. That honesty gave us a great deal of confidence. The finished yard looks great. The turf has a lush, natural appearance, the curved edges and transitions were handled beautifully, and the existing pavers, mature landscaping, and black lava-rock planter areas were preserved and integrated very well. Ironically, both of those contractors had been recommended by people we knew. That experience taught us an important lesson: we needed to do our own research and find someone we could truly trust. Danny was actually my favorite candidate from the beginning when I started collecting bids in late 2023. His quote wasn't the cheapest, and at first I questioned the price. Later, Danny explained something he called the "salami tactic." Some contractors intentionally submit low bids by leaving out critical work that inexperienced homeowners don't know to ask for. Those missing items eventually become expensive change orders, and the surprises never seem to end. We experienced exactly that. One previous contractor knew our electrical system couldn't support the appliances we planned to install, yet he simply said, "Anything you want." The project looked good on the surface, but it wasn't done properly. We eventually had to open finished walls again just to upgrade the electrical system. What I appreciate most about Danny is his honesty. He never told us what we wanted to hear just to win the job. He explained what actually needed to be done, why it mattered, and what could happen if shortcuts were taken. Sometimes those conversations weren't easy, but looking back, he was protecting our investment, not trying to increase the bill. Throughout the project, Danny communicated clearly, answered every question patiently, and treated our renovation as if it were his own. When unexpected issues came up--as they often do in a 100-year-old building--he didn't disappear or make excuses. He solved them. Even after the project was substantially completed, he came back to address the remaining punch-list items. That level of responsibility is rare. Today we have a duplex we're truly proud of, and more importantly, we have confidence that it was built correctly and safely. If you're looking for the lowest bid, Danny may not always be your contractor.
