These guys are doing it right. Exactly what you hope for in a local business…read more I found DC through a Facebook group when I asked for computer repair rec's. Checked out their website, then gave them a call about cleaning up my Mac before my vacation. I put it off to the last minute and wasn't sure they could help. Luckily, they could help me, and the rush fee was $100. I love that fact they picked up the phone and it wasn't some dead doornail employee who could care less about my computer issue. Chris, the owner, actually answered the phone. He said to bring it down. I came in that same day and he told me they would: clean it up, install new OS, remove junk, and speed it up overall. He quoted me end of the week, but it was ready sooner, so happy about because it would be ready for vacation. Total came out to about $430 with the rush fee. It's been about 6 weeks now and my computer is running amazing, so fast! They also have refurbished Macs for sale, which I'll be back for when my current computer stops working. Super 5 Stars for DC Computers! They care about their business and customers. So glad I found them.

Dan and his team immediately put my nerves at ease. I brought in the laptop I use for work, and Dan understood the priority level right away. Not only did they fix the issue faster than expected, but the cost was far lower than I had imagined. As someone who has a small business, seeing their attention to detail was inspiring, it actually makes me want to be a better expert in my own field! They treated me like a local because they are locals and residents who have been serving San Diego for 10 years. If you need a repair or a new computer, go see them. I'll definitely be back! In my 80th year, after discovering flat caps, and what in the midst of what must be a late-life…read morecrisis - I'm in love with the Village Hat Shop - there, I said it! On the positive side: Inventory - This neighborhood shop carries a huge inventory with a wide variety of brands, styles and price points. Prices - From what I can tell, each brand and style may offer a variety of price points and the shop does sometimes offer discounts and specials. Availability - The shop offers convenient and customer friendly hours, check web site for the details. Staff - In my experience the staff has invariably been welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. When I recently mentioned that a flat cap I'd purchased there seemed a little snug, they insisted on enlarging it a half-size at no charge, and the result was perfect. Location - It is absolutely perfect for me to have what I've heard is the country's best hat store only 15 minutes from home. I often arrive with questions only and they are always welcoming and helpful. Negatives The traffic is awful because of construction work going on along 4th Avenue. Parking anywhere nearby on the street is nearly impossible, but there is a small lot at the rear of the building in the alley between 4th and 5th, and Robinson and University that I've never seen more than half-filled and is free for customers.

Rating: Less Than 1 Star…read more I found a hat priced at $209 that had a visible hole in the outer brim. When I pointed it out to the sales associate, she told me that was "how the hat is made." I asked whether there were any other holes like it on the hat, and she acknowledged there were not. Because the item was a final sale, I asked whether they would consider a discount due to the defect. The assistant manager declined. I then asked to speak with the store manager and was told the manager was not there. When I asked who could make that decision, the assistant manager said she would need to contact the executive manager but did not offer to do so until I specifically asked her to make the call. Instead, she took the hat from me and said she would return it to the vendor. I explained that I wanted to buy the hat and was simply requesting a reasonable discount because it had a visible defect. At that point, she said, "It can't hurt to ask the manager," took my phone number, and said someone would get back to me. I'm waiting to see whether management follows up and will update this review accordingly.

I said, "can't you just put my DOB in manually? I really don't like my ID scanned." They said, " no, it's our policy to scan it." I put the bottle of wine back because I don't need big brother having all of my personal information electronically. When I spoke to the manager about their process I asked why they couldn't manually put my birthday in, she said, "no they have to scan it so they can make sure it's not expired." I said well if they can read the date, they'll know it's not expired" she said, "that's just our policy but we don't keep your information." And I'm like, dude you're owned by Amazon you don't expect me to believe that you're not using, retaining and possibly even selling our personal information? I only have two malls i consistently go in San Diego, the Fashion Valley Mall and the UTC Mall…read more However, UTC mall is more of a leisure... to walk around and kill time, for my son to play at the playground, for the festivities on the holiday season especially Xmas, to have family fun dates and good food experiences at nearby restaurants and the mall I always go to every time I have issues with my Apple iPhone and techs. The fashion Valley Mall tho, is my main mall. This is the mall where I actually do most of my shopping. We watch movies at the AMC theater when we have extra time and get food at the cafeteria/food court area after hours of walking. My son never misses going inside the Laderach to get a free taste, the best chocolate there is. We love going to this mall, especially with my son now being a teenager, we would most likely be doing lots of our shopping activities here especially at his favorite boutiques, like the zumies, Hollister, Rayban, and plenty others I do not recall.... We also love going to The escape room where the mall is. My favorite is the Nordstrom Rack! ;) The holidays tho could get really packed and busy but there's alot of nice things to see and lots of good deals to look forward to.

I will never come back to Fashion Valley Mall again…read more I was very disappointed with my experience. The mall itself has great stores, but what stood out to me was the number of homeless individuals throughout property. As a shopper, I did not feel comfortable walking around the mall. My two young kids were very uncomfortable, I have to move them from the food court and sit and eat elsewhere. For a high-end shopping destination, I expected a cleaner, safer, and more welcoming environment. Management needs to do a better job maintaining the property and ensuring guests feel comfortable while shopping. Unfortunately, this experience was enough that I won't be returning.
