Almost $20.00 and half of my burrito is filled and the other half isn't? This is why I choose to stay away from here and the one time I go I get this..

Enchiladas - cold and cheese not melted inside.

An average taco shop that will disappoint on quality. Ordered a breakfast burrito, carne asada burrito and an order of cheese enchiladas. Burritos were pretty good. Their asada is more on the dry and crispy side which is how I prefer it.. The enchiladas were terrible. The cheese inside was cold and not melted at all (See picture). By the time this was discovered we were already on the long drive home.. What a waste. The main advantage of this place is it's convenient location off the 10.

I found a big chunk of plastic in my menudo. Almost choked on it... also the tripe was hairy, and it's not the first time. Won't be returning unless it's for my money back.

Chorizo with potatoes barely any beans. Had to get a magnifying glass to find them. $1 each add on.

Just had breakfast. I ordered chorizo burrito with beans and potatoes, hubby ordered hash brown burrito. Chorizo burrito I couldn't find the beans. The second was a plain chorizo , wrong. Took it all back and the cashier young lady said ,"ok". They immediately handed me back a cold hash brown burrito sitting on the side for awhile. Later she comes back with the same chorizo burrito and says, there's beans in it. I had cut it open and barely found an extra thin layer of refried beans at the bottom of chorizo, which I paid extra dollar for each add on beans and potatoes and Paid 4$ for glass bottle of coke , cuz fountain drinks were down. No apology and no one cracked a smile the entire time from entrance to exit. The owner or manager with his dolce gabana shoes walking around and not seeing what's happening with customers. The cashiers are calling out numbers that no one can hear in the back. Terrible service. The young man who took our order was the only polite kid who said good morning. Decent chorizo flavor, though. Tables not clean. I don't think we will be returning. Prices are high and service is low. Sorry to say. But I can see why 3 stars ...

Walked over here and sampled some dishes. Rolled tacos - above average with good guacamole. Still needed to be crispier. Breakfast burrito- they don't scramble the eggs, but it is in a thin omelette form inside your burrito. It makes the burrito really thin, but it was still fine, just a bit less satisfying. Make your own also needs more choices. Carme asada plate - not much fat, but meat was kinda dry. The platter was 10 bucks with rice, beans etc.

The waitress was attentive the whole time, bathrooms were clean, and I really appreciated how mindful the staff was with my deaf friend. That always stands out to me. The calamari was okay. I liked it, but my friend said she's definitely had better. I also had to ask for lemon with the calamari. Last time I came with a friend they were completely out of lemons, so I was glad that wasn't an issue this time. I'd probably try something different instead of the calamari next visit though. We got the Pier 88 combo crab boil with the "All of the Above" seasoning in mild. It came out super quick and was very well seasoned. I personally thought it leaned a little salty, but I also saw other tables adding extra salt to their food, so I guess it just depends on your taste. Portions were good and everything tasted delicious. Very kid-friendly spot, pretty loud and lively inside, and honestly a great place for hosting bigger groups, family get-togethers, or even just catching up with a friend over drinks and seafood. I've been here before and would definitely come back again.

The regulars make it worth coming back as they're wholesome so the atmosphere alone is wonderful! Now we're hungry right so the live crawfish seasoning and heat options don't miss. I would say the "hot" for Cajun tastebuds would be mild it's always nice to know what fits they're oysters are purged and delicious as far as I can tell it's an all year option. Prices here are fair as the quality is good. Heard one person mention the sauce is good at pier 88 but everything else is better here...I'd take cooked to perfection than a little better sauce. You should too traveling or native. I'd post a pic of the crawfish (live it's in season) but they were perfectly cooked amazing flavor and I smashed the whole pound before I thought this place deserved the atta boy!

A Taste of the Bayou Right Here!…read more Walking into Flavors of Louisiana feels like stepping straight into the heart of the South--where the spices are bold, the portions are generous, and every bite carries a story. From the moment I sat down, the warm hospitality made me feel like family, and the aroma of Cajun spices drifting from the kitchen let me know I was in for something special. The Food The star of the show is undeniably the seafood dishes. The crawfish étouffée was rich and velvety, with layers of flavor that only true Louisiana cooking can capture. The seasoning was spot-on--bold without being overpowering, spicy but balanced. The fried catfish was golden perfection: crispy on the outside, tender and flaky on the inside. And don't get me started on the gumbo--hearty, smoky, and brimming with soul. Every side dish felt like comfort food elevated. The hush puppies were crisp little bites of heaven, and the dirty rice was so flavorful it could have been a meal on its own. The Experience What I loved most was the authenticity. Nothing felt watered down or rushed--it was food made with love, patience, and pride. The staff checked in often, always with a smile, and you could tell they genuinely cared that you enjoyed not just your meal, but your entire experience. Final Thoughts Flavors of Louisiana isn't just a restaurant--it's an experience. It's the kind of place you come to when you want food that warms your soul and reminds you what real flavor is supposed to taste like. If you've never had authentic Cajun or Creole cooking before, this is the perfect place to start. And if you already love Louisiana cuisine, you'll feel right at home. Authentic. Flavorful. Their house blend is the best sauce I've ever had, that alone is what keeps us coming back, I believe it is a Viet style Cajun sauce. We usually get the build your own combo, with crawfish, snow crab, and a few appetizers like french fries, garlic noodles, and onion rings. I believe they have changed management recently, or in the past few years. Although the sauce remains delicious, the food quality seems to be falling, and I see that they have a few food safety violations listed on their Yelp. The garlic noodles were swimming in the watery sauce, and the Cajun fries were not tossed, just sprinkled on top. The restaurant has never been that busy when we go, and there is usually is only one server doing all the hosting, food running, and waitressing. That did not make the food Taste good at all. They put way too much garlic in it, and the food was impossible to eat because it was overcooked and it was rubbery.
