So me and my wife went on the sea rocket July 2018 and it was amazing. We had a great time we saw the boats huge rooster tail and the captain throttled it up and we saw dolphins. July 2019 we thought it was a must do thing while staying at Sea Colony again. Right on their website they talk about the famous rooster tail from the powerful twin turbo V12 diesel motors on it and they again advertised the same thing over the boat's PA system but we barely crept along. Like almost like we were in a no wake zone. The boat ride and seeing the dolphins was great but my issue is them advertising how powerful the boat is and the rooster tail and then not delivering. So for that reason I was not satisfied this year. It was a different captain than we had last year but if your going to advertise things then I feel you need to follow through. read more

We had an amazing experience parasailing. They guys on the boat were fun, played awesome music and made us feel at ease. You could tell they knew what they were doing but made it fun for my husband and I. I would definitely highly recommend searicket for a parasaliing adventure while in ocean city. read more

Used to be an entertaining crew... now just one guy steering and one just standing around... no interaction with the guests who pay $27 a person to ride. Then they put a "Tips Appreciated" jar in your face when leaving the boat. Waste of time! read more

Amazing!!! If you ever have an idea to go parasailing... pick this company. I have a 8,6 and 2 years old, they were all in the boat and the captain and assistant were awesome. Very patient, pleasant, and amazing people. They made us very comfortable with the process and explained everything to the T, my 8yr old and I went for an 800ft ride and it was the best ever for a first experience. Not expensive and all and they take pictures of you and provide them an additional cost, NOT bad at all!!!! This is a MUST try! Can wait for next year to bring my other girls with me to the 800 ft! read more

If you're going to cancel a boat ride, at least send someone down to the dock to let all of your customers who are waiting know Instead of letting them spend their precious vacation time sitting around waiting and waiting only to be disappointed! Booked a boat ride, we were instructed to arrive a half an hour early so we did. We waited and waited. I had received an email that our parasailing we had booked with the same company had been cancelled. Since I hadn't received an email about the boat ride, I naturally assumed it was still on. After waiting 30 minutes (other groups were waiting too) I tried to call the company twice but couldn't get through to anyone. So I responded to the email about the parasailing and got a reply that the boat ride was cancelled and they called everyone who had provided a phone number. They had my phone number as it was part of the required info on the online ticket purchase form, but I had no missed call or vm from them. Clearly they had my email as they had emailed about parasailing. To make matters worse, 45 minutes later I got a call from their outsourced customer service rep demonstrating that they had my phone number; they just waited until 45 minutes after our arrival time to contact us rather than giving us a heads up in the morning that they were canceling the boat ride. My kids were so disappointed that the ride was cancelled after sitting and waiting to for 45 min. I asked the customer service guy why the company had not sent someone down to the dock to let all of the people waiting know that the boat had been cancelled and he said "oh that would be great idea" and "I don't know why they didn't do that" and then apologized on their behalf but said he doesn't actually work for the company so he has no specific info to offer (clearly he was in a call center somewhere). Today I received a generic email from the company asking me to review the boat ride on six sites after they cancelled on us with no notice (really?!). This "local" company clearly has a lack of concern for customer service and has outsourced the entire function to a call center. read more

Awesome experience. Captain and first mate were very pleasant. We came across a huge pod of dolphins on the way back in, and the captain stopped several times so that everyone could get a good look. We all had a ball! Kids under 12 are free with a paying adult, which really made this am affordable outing. read more

Been on this ride twice. For $51 got three adults and three kids on the boat. Great value. Talk to a lot of people who been on the boat more than once they say this is better than OC rocket. Make sure you bring a few dollars for TJ he will ask for a tip and well deserved. read more

Sea Rocket was a lot of fun! The captain and hand were great. The captain was very knowledgable and gave us some OC history. Plus, we got to see a school of dolphins! And the captain went out if his way to make sure everyone got a good view of them. All in all it was a lot if fun and well worth the price. I definitely recommend this to anyone. read more

We went on the Sea Rocket and had a blast. It was a great break from the heat and the ocean breeze made the ride really enjoyable. We encountered a bunch of dolphins and the captain stopped and brought us over to the school where we watched them give us a show. One star = ZERO STARS OC Sea Rocket is THE WORST! September 1, 2019 5:30 PM beautiful weather. We bought tickets online and then stood in the line with the other families about 45 minutes before the ride was scheduled to begin. About 5:15PM we started to get a little antsy as there was NO captain, NO crew, and the boat just sat their docked. 5:30PM (the time of the ride) came and went. Still NO captain. Still NO crew. No NOTHING. A man and his wife who were in the line then mentioned that the SAME NO SHOW had happened to them THREE times that same day but they were hoping for the 5:30PM ride. We waited patiently until after 5:45PM. Still NO crew, Still NO captain, NOTHING. No signs. No notices on their website. But they sure did take our money! Thieves! Charges are being disputed with my CC company and the thieves at OC Sea Rocket will pay it back to me and pay a stiff charge back fee on top of that! Reported to the OC Chamber of Commerce who says they will "get back to me". If something came up and OC Sea Rocket was unable to provide the rides that their schedule showed (and still shows) and were PAID FOR all they had to do was make an entry on the main page of their website. How hard is that? Or they could have sent someone to tell the families that the rides were cancelled. How hard is that? Or they could have simply put a sign right there on the docked boat stating the rides were cancelled. How hard is that? But ignoring your customers is easy but an unacceptable business. Things happen. I get it. Everybody can understand that. But taking the money from 60 or 70 or more moms, dads, kids and others, and then stiffing them? THREE TIMES IN THE SAME DAY and not even letting them know? That is utterly inexcusable. You people have become greedy and selfish. You USED to be in business to provide a fun venue for families! USED to be one of the best! USED to be! Wow. Nowadays you just make kids sad and piss off their parents. Then you steal their money! Please sell out to someone who knows how to run and manage a business, someone cares and then you can go away. Maybe someone reputable will take over this obviously DEFUNCT scam and bring back the fun to Ocean City, Maryland! Shame, shame, shame on you OC Sea Rocket! read more

On Sunday June 16th, my family and I were scheduled for a ride but the weather had progressively worsened so for our safety the trip was cancelled. I appreciated the customer service etiquette used to deliver the news of the cancellation. However, I was informed that my refund would be immediate and would arrive in a day. Today I called to follow up and was aggressively informed that it could be up to 10 business days. The lack of communication amongst staff is disappointing. read more

So disappointing.... We loved Sea Rocket and have been going for years but today we had such a unfortunate experience. After purchasing our tickets and waiting on line for the boat to come in for over an hour the captain (who was very apologetic and sweet) informed us that his prior trip was the last of the day due to the ocean being too rough. He explained that he radioed this info into the office 45 minutes prior and someone should have told us. When those who were waiting (about 15 people) came back the women at the counter (NICOLE) gave us all our $ back, which was very nice but when I asked her why someone didn't tell us earlier about the cancelled ride she go very nasty. Basically telling me that she didn't have to and that is wasn't her job. She was just so nasty!!! I told her I was going to let people know just how rude she was and she told me to "go ahead, lots of people hide behind yelp". All we really wanted was an "sorry". Sorry we let you stand there all that time when we knew we would not be give any more rides, but this women's attitude towards us was just so nasty we will unfortunately not be going back. the staff on the boat were amazing! the guys did a great job! they were hilarious and gave us a lot of information! we saw the dolphins and spent about an hour out at sea! the reason why i only gave them 2 stars is because; before entering the boat, a staff member took our photo. once we got back we were able to see/purchase our photo. all of the lighter skinned families photos came out great. while those of deeper complexions came out very very dark! our family, as well as 3 other deeper complexion families all asked our for our photos to be lightened. even after being lightened, the photo was still very dark. even though this is something that we could have chosen to not purchase, we really wanted the family memory. it saddens me that the photographer wouldn't even suggest to us (or any other family of deeper complexion) moving to a different angle for a better family photo. she quickly brushed us off and took the next families photo. in the future i hope the staff (not the staff on the boat) will be more aware of the memories they are capturing for their guest. please make sure that all guest are satisfied with their photo memory, so they can actually purchase and keep their photos. or just not offer that option at all if it will not be inclusive to everyone! no matter the complexion! read more

We went parasailing and they did a great job! The captain and his mate look young, but they know what they're doing. Even though it was a little breezy that day, they took into account the speed and direction of the wind and adjusted the chute accordingly. They were very friendly, and talked to everyone on the boat. They answered any questions we had. They offered the option to take up a gopro and shoot pics or a video. Sure, it was an up-charge, but totally worth it. It was my daughter's first time up, and now she has the video to watch over and over. I would absolutely recommend parasailing with them. read more

An amazing way to see Ocean City! Very reasonable price for so much fun. The staff/crew were fantastic. They made sure we saw plenty of Dolphins. Just an added note, if you have an elderly person with you, which someone on our boat did, they helped the lady on the ramp all the way to her seat. We were bored. The captain barely spoke and when he did, we could not hear a thing. The sound system was bad. It was just a boat ride, nothing exciting. No one got wet on the ride. The kid shot us with a super soaker at the end which was ridiculous. With a name like "Sea Rocket", we expected a little more excitement. read more

We booked our trip a week early of our vacation to Ocean City over Mother's Day weekend. I got a phone call on Friday afternoon that due to the impending weather, the trips for the weekend were being cancelled and I was offered a full refund. I accepted the refund as we were only in town for 3 nights. We never received any confirmation of the refund and repeated calls, emails, Facebook messages, etc has resulted in no communication from the company. We are still hopeful to get our refund but at this point, I think it's getting less and less likely. By the way, the weather on the day of our scheduled trip (5/14/17) was BEAUTIFUL but we were already told our trip was cancelled. Really disappointed in this company. read more

For the money, YOU CANT BEAT IT! The only thing I would say, and NOT a negative by any means was the ride time. My kids started to get a bit uneasy a bit under the halfway mark (it's a long ride from 1st st to Delaware line). I've been going to Ocean City faithfully since 2011, and I can promise you that this adventure will be the highlight of your trip also. Every year that I have gone, my boyfriend and I take a Sea Rocket trip. It's like 16 bucks, but well worth it. The trip is about an hour long, they play good music/ and while passing certain points of interest, they tell you about them. Almost every time that I've gone, they stop the boat, turn it off, and you can see a ton of dolphins! The crew also takes your picture before the ride ( If it was after, you'd be soaked) and for $5 you can get the picture in a nice Sea Rocket Adventures frame. I can't wait to go again! read more

Bought our tickets online for the 12:30 ride on 8/8/2019. Arrived early as they suggest. We were there even earlier than the half hour they ask of you. Paid to park. Noticed they were working on the boat...wouldn't start and they were working on it. I asked the ladies at the ticket booth if they are having trouble or if our ride will be delayed or cancelled. She said no...it's all good. We were the 2nd party in line waiting at the dock. The line continued to grow and grow and they kept selling tickets full well knowing there was an issue. It was hot and nowhere to sit. They have a bench on the dock but didn't allow anyone to sit there. At 12:30 they have the young lady tell us that there will be a 5 mins delay. Ok. That turned into 20 mins. Most of us have been waiting in line for an hour or more. Folks started complaining and going up to the boat and airing their frustrations. They refused refunds. UNTIL FINALLY they said if it didn't start in the next 5 more minutes then they would refund. Captain/boat staff never addressed the situation. They left their bidding to the young ladies who ran the ticket booth. They were nice girls and it wasn't their fault. The guys/captain were unapologetic and didn't seem to care. The atmosphere is awful too....construction going on, nowhere to sit really, not so great. We ended up going 2 streets up to Talbot St to the other boat OC Rocket. Omg entirely different atmosphere....very nice...they also have an awesome restaurant to wait and watch the boats/bay. AVOID sea rocket. Absolute waste of our time. Ate up hours of our vacation. We found out this issue happened just a few weeks before too. read more

.I feel terrible leaving a bad review as the capt and crew were so nice. This is advertised as appropriate for all ages, but it really isn't. We all got completely drenched over and over. I mean sopping wet slammed with waves of water again and again. My kids (7 and 8) have enjoyed been on boats many times, but were miserable begging for it to be over. There were much younger kids on the boat who were crying in fear and whose parents covered them with towels to no avail. There wasn't a dry person on the boat. We sat in the front. We saw dolphins at the beginning of the ride, which was amazing, but the next 40 min was spent comforting and trying to block frightened and cold children from massive waves of water. I saw some older people who were equally horrified. Learn from my mistakes. Wear a bathing suit only and don't bring much other than a towel in a waterproof bag (everything will be soaked). If you are taking kids, have them wear goggles or their eyes will be stinging. Not a fun start to our day. read more

After years of vacationing in ocean city and watching the sea rocket go up and down the beach I finally decided to do it. I took my 5 year old daughter on the boat and we both had a great time. The captain and first mate were great. The one hour trip is the perfect amount of time to keep kids attention. The boat goes from the inlet to the fenwick island line and it is great to see the entire ocean city shoreline. My daughters only complaint was that we did not get wet enough on the boat. We did get to see a few dolphins in the trip. I recommend this attraction for something to do. read more

The only sailing tour we could find at Ocean City, MD. Captain and crew were both great with the kids, letting them help with adjusting lines and turning the grinders. Run by a really nice family, we will definitely make this cruise an annual part of our OC summer trips. Only possible criticism I can offer is they did keep the engine running the whole time, where it would have been nice to go on 100% sail power, but weather conditions may have forced their hand in that. read more
