We have been coming to Thai House since we moved to region several years ago. We loved them. They changed ownership sometime in the last couple of years or so and it became Sea Thai House. We weren't sure if we were going to enjoy it as much because the menu did change a bit and there were some growing pains initially, where we were not as thrilled with the food. We just decided to try it again and ordered on-line for pickup. The ordering process was great. My husband ordered Pad Prig Sod and we asked for "extra" Thai hot. When he showed up to pick it up he was told, "We only do Thai hot but not "extra" Thai hot. Hmmm...he tells me he made a stink face and told her if it wasn't very hot he likely wouldn't be back. We don't know if she told the cook to make it hotter or if their Thai hot is really Thai hot, but it was phenomenal. Most places are afraid of making a dish truly Thai hot which is why he took to asking for "extra" heat. Not my dish but my husband loves crazy hot and he was very pleased. I could smell the heat from his plate and he did initially hick-up a bit, which tells me it was VERRRY HOTTTT! Good on them! He was thrilled. I orderd a soup dish and that was also done very well. We are glad to see the new owners are doing such a great job and will def be back, again. read more

Love this place. We come here all the time. But tonight we order two soups and an entree. One soup we got mild and the other we got med. Normally we get medium and hot. The mild was as hot as the med and the med as hot as probably the Thai hot. Luckily we did order mild for my daughter's entree. It's kind of disappointing. This was my first time trying this Thai restaurant. I was excited to be able to try it out. I ordered the Pad Thai (which was pretty delicious), the beef noodle soup( the beef was very tender and good, the soup was a little sweet), the fried chicken and fried rice(the chicken was nice and crunchy and the rice was tasty), the taro ice cream( was delicious and sweet). The staff were very friendly and helpful. The place inside was comfortable and offered a warm atmosphere. I recommend this place for Thai food lovers. read more

Really good food. Some of the best I've had depending on what you order. Lettuce wraps are definitely my favorite. Soups are amazing. I tend to try new things and they never disappoint. Even if you think you wouldn't like it- you'll be surprised. Service is usually slower then what one would expect, so go when you have time for a sit down with no hurry. read more

I like that it has such an extensive menu and great jasmine tea, nice service and is pleasant and comfortable. Today I had the shrimp pad thai noodles which was just OK, a little oily and too much fried tofu. I just discovered this option and was excited to try it, as I was having guests that evening.I ordered at 3:30 for a 6 pm delivery. I received a text at 6:10 from grub hub saying they were on the way. At 6:30 I texted back asking when the would be here. They said "I'm On my way". The food was delivered around 6:45. Needless To say it was cold. I asked about the service. The grub hub person originated in Jackson. Valley Springs is part of that "territory". That is why she was late picking the order up. Well I tried again. I highly do NOT recommend this restaurant. I am bed bound and my friend drove to pick it up. She told me I had underestimated the prices. On the menu, Pad Thai is $7.50. Rad Na is $7.50. For those two dishes she was charged $27.80 instead of $16.50. I am heartily sick of this place! Not only is the food boring, but the prices posted in Yelp are nowhere near the prices they really charge. Illegal and unscrupulous! AND the food isn't that good either. I've lived here in VS for over 5 years now , so, shame on me for only recently trying Thai House. We have now eaten their food twice and we are going to have it for dinner tonight. We will be calling to pick up the food. Everything has been absolutely delicious. I get Pad-see-ew with chicken. It's the wide noodles with your choice of meat, as well as spiciness. The cucumber salad is refreshing and the spring rolls are yummy too. The food is very fresh, flavorful and their Thai iced tea is to die for. I highly suggest that you try this restaurant right away. We sure don't have much to choose from, but we have an EXCELLENT Thai restaurant. I need to add that we have never been to eat in the restaurant. We have only called for pick up orders. I'm basing my review on the timeliness of our orders being ready, as well as the food itself. read more

First time eating here last week and ordered Pad Kee-mow which is basically otherwise known as drunken noodles. I am vegetarian and don't do fish sauce or oyster sauce so I'm always a little hesitant about trying new Thai places because oftentimes I've noticed the staff won't understand me when I try to tell them no fish sauce, no oyster sauce etc.... The place was packed this evening and we were seated within minutes. As I ordered I asked for the Pad Kee Mow but with tofu as the "meat" and NO fish sauce or oyster sauce and the young waitress gal immediately says "so vegan?" And right then I was tremendously relieved because you could tell she completely understood my dietary preferences which is comforting for those who don't eat certain ingredients.... My dish arrived pipping hot and was absolutely delicious, and pretty spicy which I loved. The prices here were very inexpensive as well compared to other Thai restaurants I've been too... I think my order was just about $11-12 dollars. I will definitely be back! I wish I would have taken pictures! read more

We found the Thai House in Valley Springs years ago and would drive from Sutter Creek once or twice a week for lunch. There are Asian restaurants much closer but not nearly as consistent or good. We were saddened when Mai (spelling?) sold a couple of years ago to her niece and expected we'd be searching and having to settle for something less. However, the Thai House replacement, Sea Thai House, put an end to the search after one meal. It is wonderful. We're driving to Valley Springs twice a week. Can't recommend one dish because we like everything we've tried. Moo Dang, a delicious pork fried rice, is a staple of every order. We order "hot". No need for any condiments that would interfere with the chef's creation. (I believe I heard a diner ask for soy sauce once. He was hoping for Sweet and Sour Pork, Chop Suey and Egg Foo Young. Reminds me of another time in a Chinese restaurant that a customer was upset that crackers didn't come with his hot and sour soup.) read more

We recently tried this restaurant after the ownership change and were very pleasantly surprised! The food before was pretty ok but we didn't eat there often. With the new owners we have noticed the interior is much cleaner, the menus have been refreshed and are cleaner as well. I really like that most of the items have pictures. That's very helpful for trying out new menu items if you're not Thai or don't speak Thai. The chicken noodle soup was delicious and honestly better than any pho we've have either in Modesto or Stockton. Their curry noodles were AMAZING, with a rich creamy base made from both red and yellow curry (yum) and coconut milk. The only I would have like better was to have a few more noodles. I highly recommend when you're needing something different or healthier options for your next time dining out. read more

Second update since ownership change: I used Sea Thai House's online ordering app for the first time today and it worked perfectly. The food selections are well organized and especially effective is the system for customizing your food dishes, e.g. your desired protein, level of spice, special requests, etc. You're given a time for pick-up, have the option to add a tip, and the full amount is quoted accurately. The food was excellent as always! I had a hankering for crisp, flavorful veggies, Thai eggplant, medicinal Thai basil, and tofu. I received great service and food! read more

Stopped in today and we were immediately greeted by a nice waitress, my cousin and i decided to order the BBQ Chicken Fried Rice and Shrimp Pad Kee Mow (Drunken Noodles). So many small restaurants can be hit and miss and this place seems consistent. I am reviewing the FOOD here only. I'm not crazy about ambiance at this restaurant and will usually call an order in and pick it up to go. Nor do I understand why a big table near the register is "reserved for staff." Thai food is becoming easier and easier to find, but GREAT Thai food not so easy. Thai House has GREAT Thai food. I have not had a single dish that has disappointed. There are a few things that are so good I just keep going back to time and again: the Tom Kha soup, the spring rolls, pad see ew noodles, all of the curries (although if I recall correctly, the red curry duck had the skin on it, which didn't work for me). I've had many other dishes there and have not been disappointed. Bring back the angel wings! Staff has always been efficient and professional (and they've never messed up an order, which I can't say for a lot of other places). read more
