Had such a memorable time during my very first visit that my family and I had to do it again!! This time around we went with the Gold Wagyu Set for 2 adults & 1 child. At $13 additional from the Silver set, why not bump it up and compare Gold's offerings. To be honest, I didn't really notice much of a difference. Sure the cuts of meat are supposed to be higher quality but it didn't really taste that way IMO. KevinLu was our server for the night and as much as I would like to give high remarks, that just wouldn't be true. He wasn't terrible but our party of three just got forgetten. Our plate of seafood was left from the start of our meal up until the very end because he said he would be coming by to help cook things. I didn't bat an eye initially but when the meal was essentially coming to an end, and he was still nowhere to be seen.... c'mon!! 3 stars but I bumped up the rating to 4 simply due to the quality. Sea Wagyu House is a great concept and the food is good. The disappointment lies in us not being able to maximize our seafood dining experience because we were stuck waiting around for staff to cook it up and they never showed. Gold set was not worth the buy this time around.

Came to Sea Wagyu House for dad's birthday dinner and it was decent! Located off E Calaveras in the same plaza as El Torito, Sea Wagyu House has replaced the old Red Lobster. This place serves premium wagyu over a fire grill along with self-serve sushi... and fruit crepes for dessert! Our party of 5 were able to set a reservation for a Friday evening through Yelp and were actually surprised to be immediately seated at our preferred time. I guess the hype has died down enough that we didn't have to wait long! While waiting, the SO ordered cocktails for himself and my dad. They got the Mai Tai and Ube Colada. The ube colada tasted creamy/vanilla-y and was tasty. The mai tai might have actually been a lemon drop (?) because it didn't look nor taste anything like a standard mai tai. The inside is decked out with a faux flower backdrop with neon lights, and 3 or 4 big tv screens playing a roaring fireplace on loop. There's a main buffet area that includes sushi, sides for the grilled meats, sauces, and fresh fruit. The table we sat at could have fit 4 more people at the end, with only one grill at the other end. I thought this format was strange and should have been re-worked during construction. How would the people at the other end cook their meat? A lot of responsibility for the few in front of the grill to cook and distribute the food. Our party went with the Gold tier, which includes 4 additional wagyu options and a seafood platter consisting of scallops, oysters (HUGE), and clams. We were also able to order anything from the Silver tier. All the meat was pretty standard. Highlights were the pork jowl, beef tongue and finger meat. They had lamb on the menu, but actually don't carry it anymore. I liked the giant oysters. The sushi was pretty good, but I hated the plates they were on for being hella clunky. I could probably grab 4 at a time if I didn't want to stack them. The SO loved the chicken karaage, veggie tempura, and sesame noodles. The crepes at the end were fine, but could have been better with ice cream :) Lucy was our main server and she was great (MVP status)! Since we were seated in the backrooms (!!), she allowed us to place sushi orders so we didn't have to keep getting up to grab the plates in the main dining area. I said to my sister I was feeling overwhelmed by the amount of cooking we had to do, and Lucy may have overheard me because she immediately came over and helped cook our food. Overall the food was good, but the experience left me realizing I didn't actually speak much with my party... I was so busy cooking and distributing the food the whole time lol.

Had a great experience here as a party of four! We went with the lowest tier, bronze? Copper? Something like that I'm always a little wary of the quality of AYCE sushi, but fish here did taste very fresh. I like how they serve smaller portion sizes for both the sushi buffet side and for the meats, we were able to try more that way. The grill here also is amazing, somehow it never got burned and we never needed a grill change. The service was also impeccable, we got checked up on very frequently and food came out fast. Some things got lost from the previous round but our server was great in helping expedite those. I honestly love this place way more than Wagyu Masters. Would definitely come back here again!

Experience (2/5 stars): *Food: meats were chewy, not memorable *Price: $45 per person for silver tier *Service: the wait to get seated (even with a reservation) and to get our meats took awhile Overall, it's a no for me.

Ambiance 3.5/5: No overstimulating music. Good ventilation throughout the restaurant. No smoke going everywhere. Everything is relatively clean. Bathroom could use some renovations. Fish should have labels. Staff 5/5: I had Kevin as our server and he was great. He cooked some of our meats and answered all of our questions since it was our first time. Food 4/5: The fish was fresh although I wish we knew what we were eating. The chicken was not good, skip that. The meat was delicious and tender when cooked. I also appreciated the size of the appetizers. We were able to try a bunch because they were small. The crepe was okay.

Waited for a long time with reservations 35 mins beyond the time we had and all party arrived 5 mins before the reservation time (-1) Food was ok, nothing over the top, oyster took up the whole grill for a long time to cook, owner knows the flaw and uses blow torch to finish the job at each table by the server. Server made us feel very welcome and helped pushing items that didn't come. The place is new and clean. Small plates sushi made it inconvenient to customers overall felt like the owner not generous based on the portions. (-1)

Came here on a Sunday evening and, overall, it was okay, a bit underwhelming. We had a reservation for 7 PM but weren't seated until 7:48 PM. I think there could be some improvements to the waiting system, but I understand they're still in the grand-opening stage and things take time to settle. As for the food, I felt the meat portions were pretty small. The sushi selection also wasn't that great, and some of the fish looked like it had been sitting out for a while, some pieces were brown while others looked fine. I was also told there were no garlic pieces available to grill and that they didn't have daikon radish, although I had seen photos showing otherwise. Overall, everything was just okay. In my opinion, the Gold Tier isn't really worth it right now. We may try again in the future once everything is more settled and the system improves, but compared to what I expected, I don't feel there were as many options as I thought there would be.

Pea size Cavier, only 1 person.

Food 3/5 Service 4/5 Ambiance 4/5 Took a chance for dinner on Friday night. I didn't have any reservation so the wait was 2 hours, so left and decided for next week reservations instead. Next Friday came along, got there at 5pm, and we decided for the $75/per person- Diamond package. Our server was very nice and attentive. Wish the meat was marinated, it's quite bland in flavors. You get 1 pea-size Cavier, not quite the IG size worthy. lol. There is a sauce bar and salad bar, but it's still so much work to self-marinade and then grill. Honestly, I wouldn't mind paying more if Cavier is a decent size, meat is marinated and all the sushi/ seafood gets served to your table upon ordering in larger portions. It's too overwhelming going to the sushi/salad bar area for food, just for one piece of small bites of fish at a time. Feels like I'm just running around the restaurant the whole time there and not getting the full on experience. If you don't mind doing all the above, it's still a good place to try out.

This spot is honestly a 2.5 at most. The service was from the waiter was attentive and good though. The meat quality was not worth it for the price in my opinion. We ordered the mid tier for the Wagyu selection and it was not memorable. In comparison to chubby cattle pricing and quality it unfortunately comes in short. The meat was tough for being considered Wagyu and had a ton of tendon. I think it's American Wagyu but it was specified on the menu. The sushi bar selection is pretty minimal and the sashimi quality is alright. The desserts of fruits and crepes were also okay but nothing special. It was nice that the server assists with grilling the seafood but honestly the seafood was probably the best part of the meal. The garlic shrimp was pretty good, the oysters were too big for my liking, and the clams were fresh. I would not come back or recommend, I think the price falls short with the quality and there are other better Bay Area spots for this price.

I waited like 2 ish hours to come here so by the time we were in I was HUNGRYYYY. We got the gold menu (second tier) just to see what it had and see if we would get it again. Overall thoughts - meat quality was a bit lean for my liking/ because the meats (despite being wagyu) weren't the best marbling it just didn't compare to other Wagyu places. I like the concept of the place especially since it closes at 1 am and the area been needing a late night place. The ordering service for here is not my favorite 4 places (even if you have 2 people) every 5 mins. And the plates are TINYYYY. So it was so slow. I think I'll come after soft opening and see if I still feel the same.

First time eating at Sea Wagyu and was decently surprised how nice everything was; from the decorations to even how the salad bar looked, as well as the edible flowers on the meats. In terms of quality, it's 100% there. Our server Lia was amazing, even helping us get our orders through. The best part is that they open until 1AM. Will be coming back to this spot whenever craving BBQ after work!

I was a bit skeptical coming here after reading mixed reviews, but as the newest AYCE BBQ and sushi spot in the Bay Area, I had to try it for myself! I went with the Silver Tier ($45/pp) and it was completely worth it. The quality of the meat was incredible-- tender, perfectly marbled, and actually tastes like real wagyu. Cooking on their wire grills gave everything a proper sear that really locked in the flavor. Our server Matthew provided exceptional hospitality and offered to cook for us, which elevated the entire dining experience! The sauce bar was also stacked with a great variety of options to customize your bites. That said, as a brand-new spot, there are definitely a few logistical quirks to keep in mind. We had a 5:30 PM reservation but were not seated until 6:00 PM, which was a bit frustrating. Luckily, their spacious waiting area offers free alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks while you wait. The biggest nuisance for me was the sushi setup. Having to physically get up and walk over to a self-serve sushi bar for tiny, bite-sized portions felt really inconvenient when you are in the middle of a hot grill meal. Additionally, tables only have one grill for a party of 6, making the cooking process drag out, and soft drinks do not come with free refills like most AYCE places. At the end of the day, the stellar food quality and amazing staff easily outshone the small first-month hiccups. It's a fantastic value for meat & seafood lovers, though I would definitely recommend coming with a smaller group to get the most out of your meal!

** Visited with a party of 6 for a Wednesday Evening It was quite busy for a Wednesday Night, but we were able to luckily get a reservation in. Mind you we had called ahead for RSVP, and though they are able to accommodate a large party, I would stick to a party of 4 or less. We were seated at a large table, though there was only 1 grill (we were told ahead and had anticipated this). The entire restaurant was redone and looked to be spacious- we were seated in front by the bar, so I didn't get to see the entire restaurant. The parking situation isn't an issue at all- there's PLENTY of parking spaces in this plaza! OKAY THE FOOD: *we did the Diamond Tier * Meat Cuts: The cuts of wagyu and beef were VERY tasty, and though there's only 1 order of A5 wagyu per table, it was quite tasty! * Seafood Platter: Keep in mind that there's only 1 grill per table, and if you want your seafood to be cooked/ grilled, it might take longer to cook (there's a 90 min limit) The clams were fun to cook- watching them open up was a fun experience. * Sushi Bar: In the middle of the restaurant was their sushi bar as well as a sauce/ sides bar. The sushi bar was a little lack luster as it wasn't as big as you'd expect. It hard to bring more than 3 dishes- a plate of sushi rolls would contain 2 pieces, a nigiri would be 1 piece, etc., and since the kitchen entrance was in the middle of the two bars, it was this weird bottleneck crowd. I'd definitely come back to try again, but probably as a group of 2 since the grills aren't super huge. The staff are super chill and very helpful, and really made the experience much better :)

Whatever it is, keep it up because this chicken is so smacking good. Even my brother said this is actually pretty comparable to the ones in Korea. Only one thing to note is the original spicy isn't as spicy as it used to be! Maybe add a bit more kick to it? Otherwise, it was a great experience, plenty of seating, very clean and casual interior. Fishball skewers were soft. Most of the flavor came from the seasoning itself. The lamb and beef skewers were great. The meat textures were different and difference in meat taste was noticeable. The location that we went to is located next to Maggiano's Little Italy in Santana Row on Olin Ave. There is a free 2 hour parking structure across of the restaurant where my boyfriend and I parked at. We came during their Lunch Specials (until 4pm) and Happy Hour (from 3-5:30pm) which worked perfectly as we wanted something smaller in portion compared to the dinner portions. We started off with drinks. I got their Pig Ol' Bitties Blonde Ale, and my boyfriend got their Friday Beer & Shot special of This Little Piggy Went to [Mark]et with a 16 oz Dirty Little Pig IPA and a shot of Benchmark whiskey. My fault for having him get a whiskey shot on an empty stomach, though HAHA. He did like how smooth the whiskey was at least! We shared a 2-meat BBQ Lunch Combo Plate, and honestly, we should have gotten 3 meats because of how tender and delicious everything was! We got their Tri Tip and Sliced Brisket with their Garlic Mash and server recommended Sweet Potato Tots. Ahhh, everything was so good! Aside from the tender, flavorful meats, the two sides, especially the garlic mash, were sooooo good. We both loved everything! It was definitely a great choice coming during lunch as we were quite full after ordering one of their happy hour shareables of Chips & Queso (kind of pricey even for happy hour in my opinion for chips and cheese). Honestly wished we got their Chili Cheese Fries or their other fries which were the same price than just chips and dip LOL. But it was a good hold over food with us drinking a bit (at least for me). Shoutout to the only server who was working on a late Friday afternoon as she was doing her best to accommodate everyone + trying to clean up the previous tables. It was kind of sad seeing that the other workers didn't help bus the tables in my opinion. Overall, a great place to watch sports and have some good whiskey as this restaurant is known for their whiskey selections! The lunch BBQ exceeded our expectations, and we would definitely come back for another lunch special meal but probably with 3 meats this time!

Since i've never been here before i was really surprised by their portion sizes. it was well worth the money spent and picking up was easy too. super nice guys who helped me. i was a bit confused on what kind of sauces they had. the person who helped me gave me a run down and explained their sauces. they also gave me some samples to try to take home as welll. by far i think id have to agree that their tin roof sauce is the best sauce my sister even wanted to know if she could just buy their bbq sauce. other then that we ordered roughly a good portion of bbq- pulled pork, cheddar cheese jalapeño sausage, burnt ends, brisket, chicken wings, and ribs. our sides were the cajun rice, green beans, cole slaw and corn succatash. would probably love to come back for their lunch special one of these days.
