We had been waiting for this place to open for quite a while. Every time we drove by on our way to Safeway, Feng Cha, Jamba, and the other nearby shops, we'd see the sign and wonder when it would finally open. As soon as we heard it was open, we knew we had to check it out. It also happened to be my husband's 50th birthday, so it was the perfect occasion! I had read reviews saying it gets crowded early, but my husband thought those were probably referring to weekends, not a Thursday at 5:30 PM. We were definitely wrong. The restaurant opens at 5:00 PM, and the hostess told us people had already started lining up outside around 4:30! Since they have a 90-minute dining limit, she estimated our wait would be until around 7:00-7:30 PM. We put our name on the waitlist anyway and used the time to pick up his birthday cake and drop it off at home. On our way back, they called to let us know our table was ready. We happened to be only about a minute away, so the timing worked out perfectly. Parking fills up quickly, but there are plenty of additional spaces farther out if you don't mind a very short walk. When we checked back in, we waited a few minutes while our table was cleaned and reset. The front section had tables without grills and looked like more of a bar area. Toward the back were the tables with built-in grills. The front also had a large wall displaying a projected fireplace, which gave the restaurant a nice ambiance. Overall, the décor felt modern with a Japanese-inspired design. On the way to our table, we passed the open sushi/sashimi and fruit stations where everything looked incredibly fresh. Our waiter explained how the AYCE system worked. Everyone at the table has to order the same tier, and we decided on the Gold Tier so we could try more Wagyu selections and upgraded seafood options. Ordering was simple. You scan the QR code at your table and submit your order from your phone. Each round has limits on how many of each item you can order, which helps minimize waste. While waiting for our first round, we headed over to the sushi and sashimi bar. Everything looked fresh and beautifully presented. I really liked that each plate only had one or two servings, making it easy to sample lots of different items without wasting food. Everything we tried from the sushi bar was delicious. After that, we mixed our dipping sauces. My favorite combination was the ssamjang mixed with one of the sweet and spicy sauces. The rest of my family preferred the house sauce, and I especially liked the green sauce paired with the shrimp tempura. Our seafood arrived first. The oysters were huge, and the scallops were excellent. The clams were a bit hit-or-miss since some opened while others never did. Our waiter was very attentive and helped cook much of the seafood for us, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, my daughter didn't feel well after eating some of the seafood, so that was a bit disappointing. The Wagyu arrived shortly after, and this was definitely the highlight of the meal. Each cut was incredibly tender, and some practically melted in our mouths after just a quick sear on the grill. We also tried several appetizers. The takoyaki was excellent, crispy on the outside and soft and creamy inside. The shrimp tempura was crispy and paired perfectly with the green dipping sauce. The seafood pancake was surprisingly small, which actually worked out since it ended up being one of our least favorite dishes. We had a couple of exciting moments when the pork belly dripped enough fat onto the grill to create some impressive flames! Thankfully, it just added a nice char and sizzle to the pork without causing any problems. The drink menu had a nice variety, although I was a little disappointed to learn that sodas aren't refillable. Our waiter explained it's because they price the drinks lower than most restaurants. Thankfully, they continuously provided ice water in a chilled metal pitcher, which was much appreciated after sitting over the hot grill. To end the meal, we ordered the freshly made crepes. I chose the strawberry crepe, while my husband had the strawberry banana. Mine was light, fresh, and a delicious way to finish the meal. Overall, I would definitely recommend coming for the Wagyu. It was easily the standout of the evening, with several cuts that were exceptionally tender and flavorful. I wasn't as impressed with the seafood platters, especially compared to the meat selections. If I had to compare it with Wagyu Grill AYCE, I'd say this restaurant serves better Wagyu, but I still think Wagyu Grill has stronger side dishes and a more consistent overall selection. I'd come back again, and next time I may even try one of the other tiers to see if it changes my opinion. It's a fun dining experience, especially if you're a Wagyu lover, but I'd definitely recommend arriving well before opening if you want to avoid a long wait.

As a longtime Seapot fan, I couldn't wait to try their new sister restaurant, Sea Wagyu House and it absolutely exceeded my expectations. The restaurant has a sleek, modern atmosphere that feels elevated without being intimidating. While the premium wagyu is the main attraction (and for good reason: the marbling is incredible, and every bite is rich, buttery, and melt-in-your-mouth), what really surprised me was the sushi station. The sushi bar is seriously impressive for an AYCE restaurant. They offer a great variety of fresh sashimi, beautifully prepared nigiri, and an assortment of rolls that are constantly being replenished. Everything tasted fresh and was presented with care, making it easy to keep going back for "just one more plate." Another standout is the sauce bar. It's one of the best I've seen, with a huge selection of sauces, seasonings, aromatics, and toppings so you can create the perfect dipping sauce for your wagyu, seafood, and vegetables. It's a small detail that really elevates the entire experience. The service was attentive and friendly, with staff consistently checking in and making sure our table had everything we needed. If you're looking for a premium all-you-can-eat experience that combines wagyu and sushi, Sea Wagyu House is absolutely worth a visit. Seapot has another winner on its hands, and I can't wait to come back.

Saw this place blowing up in my feed so naturally we had to give it a try. Right off the bat, immediately worth it. We did the silver tier for our first time ($45pp) and it was honestly so great. Barbecue meat and sides are ordered through the QR they provide. IMO the best way to order things at AYCE. After ordering, our orders came out pretty quick. My only criticism of the silver tier is that for the wagyu, I wish that there were more cuts available. Sushi, is beautifully presented at their sushi bar. Each nigiri is individually plated with one piece and the rolls come in individually plated as well, but with two pieces. They also had sashimi, a DIY sauce bar, fresh cut fruit, and crepes made to order for dessert. The place itself was aesthetic and clean, and although I understand they are a new restaurant, they need to up the staff. I think it is pretty standard that especially in the Bay Area, ACYE places are poppin, so they should have more staff. I mention this because there were a lot of tables around us that were dirty. Not to mention that our table was also piling up with dishes as well. That brings me to my next point. Because of the lack of support staff, we waited almost 30 minutes past our 7:30 reservation time. The host looked a bit frazzled, but we were understanding and patient. Also, the lobby was filling up fast. Not too sure if it was because of a lack of support or management, but either way, the staff needs help.

I stumbled upon Sea Wagyu House on social media and had to go immediately! We went on a Friday around 6pm and the place was packed. Unfortunately, you can only waitlist at the restaurant so plan accordingly. The restaurant is located in a large plaza so parking is not an issue. The restaurant is very spacious and so was the waiting area, which I thought they could've used the extra space for more tables. Their sushi/appetizer/sauce bar was quite impressive. I think what threw us off was having to walk back and forth numerous times to get the nigiri/sashimi as the individual plates were too big to grab multiple at once. Some of the fish didn't taste as fresh and you could notice the texture was ruined from it defrosting. We decided on the Gold tier at $58 pp and I think it's pretty worth it at that price range for AYCE, especially the Wagyu. Some notable dishes: - Wagyu: Chuck eye, ribeye cap, finger meat, flat iron, beef toro - premium beef tongue - seafood platter: scallop and live clams - strawberry crepe Overall, I would definitely come back!

We got the gold tier and the cuts of meat were already super tender. The sushi options were all fresh and they had a large range of options. Make sure to join the waitlist to avoid the wait. Wait staff are also super attentive and great! Overall, I'll definitely be back to try the diamond tier!

Came on a Wednesday night right before opening, there's a good amount of people waiting for them to open for a table. If you do get there early they do have some drinks by the bar that you can drink while you wait for your table. It's all you can eat, the meats and sides you can order on the QR code and the sushi is all in the middle area where you can grab yourself along with a premade sauce bar. We did the diamond tier to get the full experience. If you do get the diamond tier, they cook the seafood platter for you. The Waygu meat cuts were very tender and buttery, melt in your mouth. The caviar is a little dab on a crepe cookie. It was good but wish it was more than just a little dab. We tried the garlic shrimp and it was already peeled which is good for those who don't like peeling. Scallops were also a good size. Overall, I would recommend coming to try. The staff is also very nice and friendly.

Came here on a weekend about one hour after they opened. Parking isnt an issue because it is within a shopping center. The restaurant itself is a bit small. Not too many tables. Has enough rooms for small parties or for the whole family, but multiple large parties may be difficult to seat. When you first enter, there is seating available for a few customers to wait until seated. Nice decor and great music playing. The waitlist was already 2.5-3 hours when we got there. This company is a sister company to Seapot. They have lots of sushi options, Nigerian, sashimi, and sushi rolls. There is also a sauce bar, a salad bar (with about 4 items) and a fruit bar (also with about 4 items). There are three menu items, $45, $58 or $75 per person. We ordered the 75 diamond option. Unfortunately, they only provide a "one time order" of their premium options. Then the rest of the time you order from the regular menu for the AYCE items for the kbbq. The sushi bar you can serve yourself. You can order items from a qr code on your phone and the servers will bring it out to you. For the seafood options, the servers were the one to prepare the items in front of you, but you cook everything else. Overall food was great, but next time we wont be going with the diamond option. Also, the vibes are great. The staff was friendly. However the reason why I rated them the way we did was mainly due to having to wait a lot. after we were done eating we ordered a dessert via the app. It took 28 minutes before we finally were able to get the attention of a server (not our server) and to ask for the dessert. Approximately 6 minutes later, The dessert was brought out. This did not incur the amount of time to get our bill after that. We waited about 13 more minutes before our server came back and we asked for the bill. This waiting time could definitely eliminate the extremely long wait times of 2.5-3 hours. We also talked to the table next to us when we had first been seated and they said they were waiting for their tab. It was probably close to 10 minutes before they had gotten their check after we were seated but I'm not sure how long before that they were already waiting. It seems that it takes them a while to flip the tables and prepare it for the next guests. I woukd hold off on coming back until they get a better system for wait times, but I do plan to come back.

    One grill for 8 people

Tried out this new concept by the owners of Seapot. Had a 7pm reservation for 8people but didn't get seated until almost 7:40pm.. big space but not a lot of tables. -They only have 1 grill per table no matter how many people you have, which didn't really make sense... -We went for the diamond tier but didn't feel like it was worth it. The premium seafood can only be ordered once, and the lobster tail was just half a tail per person and not a whole tail which was disappointing considering the price point. Everything was good not great, service was fine. Didn't feel like it was worth the $100/pp after tax n tip

(3 1/2 stars) We made a reservation for a large party so we got seated in the VIP room. As we were cooking we noticed a few things: -the tables in the VIP room only have one grill at each table. Each table sits ~9 people. One of our tables had 6 people and we were struggling to share our grill and cook our food quickly. They should have 2 grills per table in the VIP room. -the grill is also really small and the heat is concentrated in the middle, so for our table it took forever to cook our meat. The other table of 9 also said it took a long time for them to cook their meat due to having one small grill. - there are only a couple small cuts of meat on each plate, which resulted in our table having stacks of empty plates that took up a lot of space on the table. Only during the last half of our meal did they start taking some of the empty plates, but there was still a good amount of plates at the end of our meal. I can see this getting ironed out if they are currently understaffed/working out issues. -all the seafood needs to be cooked and this should be displayed somewhere or the servers need to be educated. We asked one person who brought the food in and he said he wasn't sure. We were able to confirm with our server that it does need to be cooked, but this should have been told to us right off the bat. Everything else was just okay. The fries we got were not crunchy and our beer was flat. We were only given the option of Saporro for our beer tower. You have to go back and forth to get to and from the sushi and sauce bar. It was a little chaotic weaving in between tables and carts, especially when you are carrying sauces. Some positives: the sushi was pretty good and the place is clean. The crepes were delicious! Service is great! Thank you Kevin! I'm not sure if I would come here again. It was a fun experience but I don't think I would go out of my way to come here.

    WAGYU TORO IS A MUST!

Just checked out this new restaurant today and 10/10 recommend. I would give this place a 4.75/5 but only because the oysters are not edible raw; for the price I would expect it be of fresh quality so that you are able to bummer ;( Anyways the atmosphere was very modern as this place just opened up and I loved how roomy the restaurant was. The meat quality is top notch my favorite being the Wagyu toro belly. The scallops from the seafood tower were supa yummy as well! My favorite part is that there is a sushi bar with an open concept so you can just get up and pick up whatever pieces you desire without waiting hehe :))) To compare this place with its competitors it's better than Ushiya but not as good as Chubby Cattle XD. Also shoutout our server Lucy she was super sweet and knowledgeable! Overall I shall be back and this place gets 9 BIG BOOMS TEEHEE!!!

Came here on a weeknight right when they opened at 5 to avoid long lines (highly suggest) & got seated within 5 mins. Upon arrival, the staff told my party to try some free drinks at the bar (unsure if this is to help with customers waiting while business is brand new or an ongoing thing they will continue to do) but we enjoyed it. We chose the Gold Tier which was the perfect amount of meat & seafood varieties that had us full during the whole duration of dinner! And the sushi bar was fresh & clean. All the dipping sauces were so good! Everyone in my party agreed that this place is worth it, so we'll definitely come back.

Went to their soft opening today and it was AMAZING! We came right when they opened at 5pm and were seated around 5:45ish pm. They have 3 tiers: Silver, Gold, and Diamond. We decided to do the Gold tier so we could try the fresh oysters, scallops, and variety type of Wagyu. They only allow one oyster per person, and they grill all the seafood for you, which I actually really liked. They recommended a Vietnamese green sauce with the seafood and it was BOMB! The sushi was super fresh and delicious too. We tried every Wagyu cut they had and honestly nothing disappointed. My favorite was definitely the Wagyu finger meat! All of the appetizers were really good, and don't skip the beef bone soup, it was so flavorful and one of my favorite things we had. Service was great too! Kevin was our server and he was super friendly, helpful, and always checking in on us. The rest of the staff was also really nice and attentive. I know they're still in their soft opening, but they're already doing such an amazing job. We had such a great experience and will definitely be back. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Service: 4/5 normal Ambiance: 5/5 well decorated, clean, large waiting area where you can get free soju shots Food: 3.5/5 The wagyu meat selection is decent, but the cuts were kinda mid, bit tough even when not overcooked Sushi presentation looked pretty nice -- tasted decently fresh. Better quality than a grocery store or kenzo tier, but noticeably worse than good ayce place that only do sushi. Overall, food was ok. Prob only go here if your group cant decide on kbbq or sushi and want variety. But know it lacks wow factor in both. The dessert was surprisingly decent tho.

The plaza is also tiny so parking may be a bit tough. I ordered an extra large Milpitas roll, Lemondrop, and Orgasmic. Food came about 5-10min after we ordered, which was surprisingly quick given the number of takeout orders and customers. The raw fish tastes very fresh, and they do not skimp on the portions! I ended up ordering almost the entire menu because I hadn't eaten all day and work completely took over my life. I got two Lion King rolls, a salmon skin roll, and baked mussels. The baked mussels were the standout--really delicious--but definitely on the heavier side. Overall, everything leaned rich and sauce-forward, which I realized was partly my fault since I focused on baked rolls instead of lighter options like sashimi. If you're not into baked rolls, they can be a little intense, so I'd make sure that's your thing before ordering. The salmon skin roll was a nice reset--more traditional, not overly flavorful, with just enough sauce to balance things out.
