    My daughter wanted to try raw marinated crab for her 21st birthday. She found Master Oh's and they did not disappoint. All the food we ordered was delicious, down to the banchan. The food is made fresh and served hot. I especially liked the crust on the seafood pancake. It's different than what I'm used to, in a good way. The servers took excellent care of us. Checked on us frequently. Had no problems answering our questions and giving recommendations. I was told they get pretty busy on the weekends, but we were there in the middle of the week so it was fine. Most of the tables were taken up at some point in the night, though. It's a casual place to eat and drink while you eat like a normal Korean hang out. The crab wasn't something I was particularly interested in, but it exceeded my expectations. It came with seasoned rice which all went together nicely. The other grilled items we ordered were also delicious. So basically what I'm trying to say is, we had a good time with good food and we'd all come back again!

    Spicy Octopus, Trip, and Shrimp Stew - 6/10 The flavor on this one was insane -- so rich and there were so many toppings to choose from. I loved how warm the soup was. The only issue I had was that it was 75% tripe and less of the other toppings. I wish there was more of a balance since I did get flavor fatigue somewhat. Korean Beef Pancake - 7/10 The beef was super tender, I liked what I had but I was expecting more of a pancake (like the usual kimchi pancake, or seafood pancake that you would find at other places)rather than what I got. No complaints though but it was definitely not what I was expecting. Soy Sauce Marinated Crab - 10/10. The crab was so fresh and umami. They gave us gloves as well which was super useful and convenient. I also love how it came with a side of rice and seaweed which was AWESOME. This was my first time trying raw crab and it was great.

    As a non-Korean, I thought Master Oh's is a very solid place for authentic Korean cuisine. It checks all the boxes for flavors, visual presentation and reminds me of a solid meal in Korea. The parking situation for this plaza however is a bit challenging. There is an entire lot reserved for restaurants next door and the plaza that it's in is packed to the brim. Definitely come early or risk circling the lot. Outside of the parking, the space inside is accommodating. There is lots of room for large parties. I will say service was a little scattered brained when we ate here though. They forgot one of our orders and we had to flag them down, a few times to get it to us. To add onto this we were the first two parties here so it maybe was just the staff warming up. As for the food, they gave us amazing amounts of banchan and their portions are generous. You could ask for more banchan if you enjoyed something but with all the food we had we didn't need more. My personal favorite dish was the marinated crab. We got the soy sauce one and it was a joy to eat. The meat was soft, juicy, and squeezed right out of the shell. Highly recommend trying this. One final note however, Master Oh's is a bit on the expensive end for something I felt like should be a standard meal. It wasn't a problem for us but it maybe something to consider if you're looking to dine on a budget. Overall would come back.

    This was my second time dining here. It's a pretty popular spot, attracting not only Koreans but a diverse Asian crowd. I was able to get inside and seated quickly. The staff were efficient, though not particularly warm. We ordered the seafood pancake and the barley rice set menu, which comes with fish and bean paste stew. The presentation was clean and colorful. While the basic side dishes were good, the barley rice with vegetables was very basic. The fish was just okay, and the bean paste stew was a bit disappointing, it lacked flavor. Note: Just my personal preference, I didn't love the shredded rice paper sprinkles on top of the pancake. While it was likely added for a crunchy texture, it unfortunately wasn't crispy. By the end of our meal, the place had gotten crowded, and I noticed many people ordering the marinated raw seafood. Maybe I should try the marinated raw crab on my next visit. Overall, it was an okay experience, the food and service were both just average.

    We had reservations with a large party, so there was a semi-private room section behind sliding doors. It was a little cramped in there with 3 separate parties and not much space between each table, but it wasn't really a problem. The servers were very friendly. I tried the kalgooksu and the chicken spicy soup. They were both very tasty.

    Master Oh's is one of the most authentic Korean restaurants I've found in the Bay Area. The menu goes well beyond the usual BBQ spots and features dishes that are surprisingly hard to find locally. The banchan were excellent--so good that I was hoping for refills before the main dishes arrived. The beef tartare wasn't my favorite. It looked more like raw ground beef than the yukhoe I'm used to, and I probably wouldn't order it again. The highlight was definitely the soy sauce marinated crab. The crab meat was incredibly sweet, rich, and silky. Paired with the cod roe rice, it was one of those dishes that makes the whole table stop talking for a minute. The seafood pancake was also fantastic--crispy, packed with seafood, and perfect for sharing. I'll definitely be back. Mostly for the crab.

    My first time here at Master Oh's. My husband and sister joined me for dinner. We were seated right away. We ordered: Soy sauce marinated crabs (comes with one dish roe rice bowl per order) Barley rice set menu Kimchi stew Dried yellow Crocker Tteokbokki I enjoyed the food overall. My only comment is that the yellow crocker is so small compared to other places I've been to. Other than that, this restaurant is pretty big and I can imagine it being busy. Staffs are nice and informed us on how to eat certain dishes. I'd love to come back again to try other dishes. Parking was easy to find.

    As a Korean American while visiting NorCal, I was excited to try Korean food up here. Major disappointment. Extremely overpriced and o-k service. As others have written, side dishes came out when our main entrees came out. Ok fine. The raw marinated crab was literally sugar paste. Holy moly I have never experienced something like this before. Some non-Korean in the back poured sugar like they're making sweet tea into this. So not enjoyable. It wasn't even spicy!! JUST SWEET. We also ordered a galbi-tang and we had to inform the server that it was spoiled. It was extremely sour. I know sour soups exist but this is NOT supposed to be a sour soup. Bring back real chefs cause Master Oh is not in this house; it's Student Oh. Stop adding cups of sugar into everything. So overpriced for everything for what we got.

    One of my colleagues recommended this place to me, and I'm glad I finally checked it out! I really liked the atmosphere and overall layout of the restaurant. I also noticed they have a semi-private dining area, which would be great for larger groups or special occasions. Staff were attentive and super nice. I really enjoyed the variety of their banchan - all so flavorful! I ordered the kimchi stew and bossam, and both hit the spot. The kimchi stew was spicy and tangy, and the bossam was super tender. I'll definitely be back to try more dishes!

    They accept Tap to pay/Apple Pay. When we sat down, my partner and I both realized that we forgot our wallets! But luckily Master Oh's accepts Apple Pay! Phew! We ordered the Spicy Raw Marinated Crab, Beef Tartare and Stone Bibimbap with Spicy Pork. The Spicy Raw Marinated Crab comes with a rice bowl topped with fish roe! The crab itself which was really creamy. The spice level is pretty mild (and I'm bad with spice) so it was a great level of spice for me. The beef tartare was really fresh. The egg yolk was creamy and tied the whole dish together. I did get a bit overwhelmed with how "rich" tasting the tartare was after my 5th bite but it was still good nonetheless. The stone bibimbap came out piping hot. The stone was hot enough to make the rice crispy! The portion was massive but the bibimbap was so good that my partner finished his serving. If it were me, it definitely would've taken me two meals to get through.

    My girl friend and I went Master Oh and honestly it didn't live up to my expectations, especially considering how many Korean diners were there. The bossam was disappointing. The meat looked kind of sad (very thin) and didn't taste great (kinda dry), and there weren't any fresh vegetables to balance it out. The marinated crab was probably the highlight, flavorful but still not the best I've had. It also took quite a bit of effort to crack and dig out the meat. Then we mixed the crab meat with rice. The tteokbokki ramen was very basic and nothing memorable. But it's good to have. Overall, the experience was pretty meh. If I come back, it would only be for the crab, but there are definitely better Korean spots out there :(

    Great value. Portion size is huge! It'd be a great spot to come with friends so that you can share the food. I ordered their barley rice combo, and opted for the raw crab and kimchi stew option. It was my first time trying raw crab, so I don't really have a baseline for comparison. I will say that I liked the saucing they did for the crab and the fact that that gave me two pairs of gloves for this. It was also my first time having barley rice and I loveeeeeed it. I saved the sauce from the raw crab and poured it in. It was amazing. I do have general bias for barley item though. As for the kimchi stew. I did not like it at all. The broth was way too sour for my liking, and the kimchi slices they kept in the stew were giant/thick stem portion. Side note, I did not like how they marinated their kimchi for the banchan either, so maybe I just didn't like their kimchi in general. Their other banchans were very good though. We asked for seconds on half of them.

    This has to be the most overdue review I've ever written. Cap't Loui not only is the best seafood…read moreboil restaurant around but also one of the best restaurants PERIOD. 5 star restaurant that includes 5 star food (shrimp, crawdads, garlic noodles, garlic bread, Cajun fries), 5 star cleanliness, and the most outstanding 5 star service you will ever receive. My wife and I consistently come to Cap't Loui for our beloved Friday date nights at least once a month. We are ALWAYS so impressed with the yummy food (we always get 2lbs shrimp/2lbs crawfish combo in Medium Cap't Loui sauce with garlic noodles, garlic bread, and Cajun fries). Wifey and I are stuffed after this but will cleanse our palate with complimentary popsicles in the freezer by the entrance. So yes, the seafood boil and food is absolutely phenomenal. But even MORE impressive is the generationally excellent customer service, in particular from Aung and Edward. They are true servant leaders and I noticed they take care of each and every patron as if they were family members or royalty. Between the delicious food and the brilliant customer service, you better bet your bottom dollar that my wife and I will continue having our traditional Friday night dates at Cap't Loui!!!!

For seafood boil sauce, we opted for the cajun instead of lemon pepper. I wasn't sure if I would finish everything, but it was INHALED. I really like the seafood quality here, but sauce-wise, I prefer Cajun Bistro for the garlic butter sauce. Cap't Loui does not offer that sauce, but it was still delicious overall. Service is timely and our food came fast, so thats a big plus. Only complaint I have here is that I wish there was more sauce in the bowl. The bowl had too much food, so I couldn't dip or soak my seafood in the flavor.

But when I saw that this far-from-ubiquitous chain had opened an outlet right near my home, I figured I'd try it. And I was pretty satisfied. First off, they have a lunch special, which is smaller than their regular combo. Second, you get two out of a choice of half a dozen shellfish: I picked clams, which are really easy to get the meat out from the shell, and crawfish, which aren't so difficult to extract the tail meat (the only edible part worth the trouble) from either. Comes with potato and/or corn. Third is that the food comes with not only a bib and a towelette, but clear plastic gloves. I put these on and felt no difficulty in eating off them, and they did keep my hands clean. I like that. Although there are two levels of spiciness below "mild," I found the mild to be not too spicy, and the Cajun seasoning was delicious, worth scooping up in my gloved hands after I'd finished the seafood. Not too large a meal - maybe next time I'll have a full combo - but tasty. Attentive service - someone was watching to see when I was done, and came over right afterwards.

The mild spice, however, was really more like a medium spice as it only took a couple of shrimp to really feel it. For my head-on shrimp, most of the shrimp heads were already like detached from the body which defeats the entire purpose of it. They were also on the small side which I know it's by the pound but it's noticeable. It was very underwhelming in terms of that. The clams were good, not much to say about those other than they were absolutely drenched in the chunky sauce. Overall, this place is ok. Nothing really stood out to me compared to other seafood boil places.
