I've never purposely gone out anywhere to get a hotdog, actually I can't recall a time in decades when I've ordered a hotdog. Sea Wolf broke this hot dog trend. Their dogs are delicious, the toppings are delicious and plentiful but not too much at the same time, the rolls were good too. The highlight of our dishes was the mushroom croquette type things, I would purposefully pursue them. Although it's further away from the ocean than our other dining experiences this trip they have lush plants all over that make the space inviting. It was a platter of pickled vegetables, a fruit jam, taco dip, some weird pepper butter and an onion dip with sourdough bread. The decor was that of an "up north" supper club vibe. We sat inside but there is a large deck that would be a great space for a larger group than four people as the inside space is small. We came for hot dogs that have made this place famous. We had a table full of their signature "Glizzy Dog" which had a great flavor, but the dog & chili both needed to be hotter in temperature. I just left from having a breakfast of biscuits and chorizo gravy, that came with a soft-cooked egg and two strips of crispy bacon. It was absolutely incredible. We shared two items, some oysters and placed a take out order for our son. - the Beausoleil oysters from Prince Edwards Island and the St. Ann's oysters from Nova Scotia were fantastic, and the favorite of the meal. -the large Sonoran wagyu dog, $14, was layered with bacon, poblano coulis, beans, jalapeño relish, mustard and fresh cilantro. We had a great family trip to Savannah, but Sea Wolf was the highlight. Our large group loved the way the menu's rotated and there were 2/3 omni and 1/3 vegan.
