Tourists, be aware. We are locals and visited with a party of eight. Before ordering, we asked whether our check could be split. We were told that parties of our size were limited to a single check, so we accepted that and continued with our meal. However, when it came time to pay, we noticed another party of eight seated nearby, and each person at their table had an individual check. When I asked our server why - she simply repeated that the answer was no and offered no explanation. We then spoke with the owner, who also showed little interest in addressing the inconsistency. Rules are understandable--but they should be applied fairly and consistently. What left a bad impression wasn't the one-check policy itself, but the fact that it appeared to be enforced selectively, with no explanation. Based on our experience, it felt as though different customers were treated differently. That lack of consistency, combined with the dismissive response from both our server and the owner, was disappointing. read more

We had a large party looking for dinner. We tried Agave the previous night and they had been closed. Not sure why, google said they were open. There was no hostess when we arrived. We had to find someone to help us. We decided to sit outside which was nice. There wasn't a ton of space near the front door. A gentleman in a wheelchair had a very difficult time getting in over the ledge at the front door. Not a lot of parking either. The positives: our waitress was efficient! We got food quickly and made it on time to where we were headed next. She got us everything we needed. The food was pretty good. Definitely not the best Mexican food I've ever had but still tasty. Just had a terrific lunch at Agave. The food is authentic and delicious. We ordered the wings which were fresh, hot out of the fryer, moist and scrumptious. We also had the new birria pizza. However, I ran into a frustrating issue when it came time to pay. The price listed online was noticeably lower than what I was charged at pickup. When I asked about it, the server/bartender mentioned they've been trying to update the website "for a while" but just haven't gotten it taken care of. But as a paying customer, I prefer to be told upfront, not blindsided at the register with a higher price and no heads-up. It left a bit of a sour taste in an otherwise solid experience. Great food, no question -- but please update your online prices or at least mention the difference when folks place an order over the phone. Transparency goes a long way. read more

I am often disappointed when I get sopes at casual Mexican places but these were great! The meat was perfect and they did not skimp on the toppings. My sister got the veggie tacos which she also enjoyed. We also got the churros which were decent. We also got free chips and salsa when we sat down!
