Was thoroughly impressed by this place! It's a small space with seating inside and outside by the fountain, but super cute and clean. We ordered miso soup, edamame, salmon avo, tuna shashito, and sunset. They were all really good, but to be honest I wish I got 3 orders of the Salmon Avo because it was THAT good. I get why it's a crowd favorite. Staff was kind and quick. Overall great experience and thing everything was fairly priced for the quality and taste. Would recommend!

Seabutter on Christmas Day did not disappoint! We had such a lovely holiday lunch -- we were seated right away and the service was absolutely wonderful. We ordered the Chilean sea bass, chicken teriyaki, shrimp tempura roll, and wagyu roll, and every single dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The calming atmosphere and scenic view made it even better. Located right in the Westlake Promenade, it's super convenient too. Highly recommend -- definitely a 10/10 experience! Look forward to returning. Merry Christmas!

Incredible sushi! the fish tastes fresh and the rolls are very unique and tasty! I loved every single one of them! The flavors were wonderfully paired with the sauces they had I'm always excited when I find a great sushi spot & this hit the spot! The service was fast & although they messed up one of our rolls, they quickly replaced it The ambiance was romantic & coworker friendly! We came on a Sunday around lunch time with two people and were sat quickly

Wow amazing! Best sushi I've had near the Valley so far! And I have been to Nobu, Yume, etc lol. I feel like the other places are a little gimmicky or you are paying for the ambiance and drinks but Seabutter is just straight forward giving you good food/sushi and fish. The hand rolls were the perfect temperature , sushi rice was right texture, and all the fish were so fresh. I've been to a sushi restaurant Tokyo too and it's safe to say Seabutter is better than the one I went to there. Gonna be a regular customer now. Can't pick a fav dish- they all were executed to the highest quality.

Crazy overpriced and quite mid quality. was disappointed. service was fine though. just would go to the many other sushi places in the area over this one

I have had many delicious take out orders from Seabutter and finally had the pleasure of dining in twice recently. Both experiences were great, the food was absolutely delicious (both hot and raw items) and I had friendly and attentive service. In particular - Irene went above and beyond, was very knowledgeable about the menu and provided good recommendations. If you are looking for high quality sushi with fresh and creative ingredients, i strongly recommend trying Seabutter.

The restaurant location is great, friendly and attentive staff, service was great and the most important, one of the best sushi, sashimi and rolls. Ambience was casual and bright.

Enjoyed a nice dinner tonight with friends at Seabutter. I'm not a seafood fan so I stuck with the garlic edamame and chicken teriyaki plate. My hubby had the sushi and said everything was delicious. The restaurant is tiny so make sure you have a reservation because the place was super busy.

I've been here a few times and have never left disappointed. This time we had the yellowtail carpaccio, the sunset and pressed tail rolls. I think my favorite roll here is definitely the Sunset roll! Service is friendly and restaurant is more on the casual side even though the prices are on the steeper end. But I do like the way they make their rolls here and their fish seems to be really fresh!

Came here for dinner with my husband since I've been craving sushi and haven't had it in a while. I did the Taste of Seabutter for $99 per person and felt that it was worth the price. The nigiri were my favorite. The teriyaki chicken was okay. It came with pineapples that tasted like canned pineapples. The chicken was also overcooked. This place was super popular for both to-go and dine-in. Service was pretty quick and staff were all very friendly. It's a very casual place so no need to dress up.

Pro tip - get here early! Sushi is excellent and very fresh! We really enjoyed the different rolls we got. I can't recall the name but the roll with Shiso leaf in it was phenomenal!! Staff were great and offered solid recommendations too. The seating is a bit limited due to reservations but if you get there early (around 5pm) you should be able to get a table no problem. They have both indoor and outdoor seating options. Will be coming back for sure!

I love seeing Jessie when I'm in the neighborhood and want some quality sashimi. The owners are great and they care about their customers! I love the kimnedai and the salmon truffle sashimi!! Give it a try and you will be satiated :) The fish is fresh and they are quite efficient!

I'll be dreaming of the Truffle Salmon Sushi and Mr. Krab Roll until I get to come back! We also tried the Albacore Roll, Crispy Rice, Spicy Garlic Edamame, and Shishito Peppers. The Lychee Nigori was sweet and super smooth. Shoutout to our server, Ashley, for the great service and recommendations. The Mr. Krab Roll (warm, wrapped in soy paper) is a must if you love soft shell blue crab, and if you're into truffle, the Truffle Salmon Sushi (2 pieces) is the perfect starter... & you might just keep reordering that! The Shishito Peppers were great, but the Crispy Rice and Edamame were just okay. I love fountain outside, but the inside felt a bit cramped. Although it was clean and service was 10/10. Ideal for a girls' night or small group dinner (4 or fewer), rather than large parties or intimate date nights. I would love to check out their other locations one day as well.

I think this place may be my new favorite restaurant…read more My friend and I walked in on a Friday night at 6:30 PM, with no reservations. The place was packed, but I have to assume we got really lucky because we got seated right away at an open table near the front. Our server greeted us immediately and brought us waters for the table. We were overwhelmed initially by the menu options because everything sounded incredible. We asked our waitress what she recommended, and she said literally everything on the menu is amazing - nothing is bad and every dish is popular. So I was quite impressed to hear that. My friend and I decided to get the steak tartare, woodfire grilled octopus, fried gnocchi, and chicken liver pate. Every single dish was actually incredible. The chicken liver pate came with four slices of toast, some pickled vegetables and ground mustard. The pate was creamy, rich, slightly on the sweeter side, so it paired perfectly with the tang from the ground mustard & pickled vegetables. The woodfire grilled octopus was cooked perfectly. Seriously the best, freshest octopus I've ever had! It wasn't chewy or fishy at all. The texture was absolutely perfect. It was very easy to cut into and juicy. It was paired perfectly with the aïoli as well. The steak tartare was extremely fresh. One of the things that I hate about steak tartare at restaurants sometimes is it will start to look brown from the meat oxidizing so it doesn't always look as appetizing, but this tartare was still had that vibrant red color as if they had just cut the meat. Lastly, the fried gnocchi was amazing. It's the first time I've ever had a dish with fried gnocchi. They paired it with a cream sauce that was absolutely delicious. I wish I remembered what was in it, but it was so good. I wanted to drink that sauce lol. Love how the gnocchi was also perfectly seared, had no lumps, and basically melts in your mouth. Overall, loved the ambience of this place as well. It's very hip. trendy. Definitely a louder environment but perfect for a weekend night out to enjoy great food. I would recommend making reservations. I think my friend and I probably just got lucky because we went a little bit earlier on a Friday night. Also wanna mention all of the wait staff was amazing. Food was served very quickly and we had no issues with any of our orders. I seriously cannot wait to come back here and try every single thing on the menu!

There's alway that nice factor of trying someplace new. This was a find from one of our friend…read more Which was also a hit from another friend who's dined before. We had a dinner reservation last Saturday which we showed up a little early to have a cocktail before hand. It's located inside of a strip mall with loads of parking. A decent size patio seating. When you walk in, you're greeted with the hostess who were amazing. Right infront of you is the bar area. That itself isn't big at all. There's a few seat along the bar area and that's about it. Also inside dining isn't big as well. Restaurants wasn't massive but nice and quaint and very busy. We were told that if we wanted to grab a drink and take it outside to a spot while we wait for our table it would be fine. They would come get us once it's ready. Cocktails and wine menu was quite nice. They do allow you to bring up to two bottles for a corkage fee. Which we did take advantage of. But beforehand, started off with their smoke and sour cocktails. Mezcal, lime, hibiscus juice, farm egg whites and cherry bitters. It was quite delicious and that smoked mezcal, wow. If you like mezcal, it's worth trying. Bar area isn't big so we had to stand there and wait for our drink. Maybe a 10 to 15 minutes later, we were informed our table was ready. We were seated right behind the bar area for a table for four. I believe Jonathan was our waiter. Very sweet and friendly. Also, it did seemed like a lot of regulars. All the staff members seem to know everyone that was dining. Menu is limited but quite impressive. We started off with a few shared plates before the entrees. -Ember roasted red beets with preserved lemon crèma, spiced pumpkin seeds, pickled Fresno chilis and mint. Wow, it was delicious. The flavors with the beets, kiss kiss. -Smoke trout toast- blisters cherry tomatoes, candy beets, wild arugula, crème fraiche and lemon. This was top dish for starters from all of us. The flavor of the trout was the star of the dish. Highly recommend. -Mushrooms flatbread- shiitake, buna shimeji and oyster mushrooms, tarragon, fiore di Latte mozzarella and crème fraiche. Mushrooms lovers with amazing variety all combined together for a delicious bite. -Spicy scampi flatbread- rock shrimp, parsley, garlic, Calabrian chilis and parmigiano reggiano. It's literally having a seafood scampi but on a flatbread. Wow wow, favorite out of the two flatbread. Definitely recommend. Entrees, Manila clams and salt spring mussels tossed in spaghetti with Calabrian chilis and parsley. The flavors were excellent. Simple but very tasty. -Crispy gnocchi with cherry tomatoes, basil in a Parmesan fondue. It's alway a hit or miss for me but this was a hit. And the elk which was maybe a special. Not quite sure the whole description but it was very tasty. Plus it was very tender and cooked perfectly and mixed with a sauce and topped with crispy onions. Another hit. Lastly we actually had room left for dessert which was the bread pudding. Hot with a nice scoop of vanilla ice cream. Perfect way to end an amazing meal. The service was great. Food was excellent and highly recommended. Each dish had its unique taste that was delicious. Everything ordered was outstanding and no crumbs were left. We would definitely be back.

One of my favorite salads is their INSALATA DELLA CASA, which is a refreshing and healthy option. Adding grilled shrimp takes it to the next level. Now, let's talk about their main courses. Their seafood and pasta dishes are all mouthwatering, but here are our favorites: 1) CACIO E PEPE: This dish is incredibly delicious and goes to another level when you add their grilled shrimp and truffle. 2) BRANZINO: Their seafood is cooked perfectly every time, and they often have HALIBUT as a special dish, which we love as a great alternative. 3) BOLOGNESE: Our son absolutely devours this dish, and it's a great option for kids. 4) STROZZAPRETI: This pasta dish is another great choice, filled with a lot of flavor. 5) LASAGNA: It used to be our number one dish until we started exploring their menu. 6) BRASATO DI MANZI: This is an ultra-delicious bone-in slow-braised beef short rib dish that's out of this world!
