I think this ramen spot is ok. Service was amazing and the inside of this spot definitely is clean and cozy! But the ramen is definitely "okay" nothing too crazy it's not bad but not good either? There's definitely many other ramen shops around and I would say this spot is mediocre at best.

Decided to try this restaurant and had a great experience! We came on a Saturday night around 6:30pm and the wait was 20 minutes. They get your phone number and text you when your table is ready which is nice. The service is really great. All of our food came out within 5 minutes of ordering. The food was really good, my husband got the yuzu shio wanton ramen with pork and he made it a combo with the spicy tuna rice cake and salad and he loved it. I got the yuzu shio wanton ramen with chicken. Mine came with chicken breast pieces which I knew would be less good than the pork. Both of these ramens also have one chicken dumpling in them. I wish that they had an option to just have chicken dumplings instead of chicken breast. I also would've liked to taste more yuzu flavor. I typically like ramen with fatter chewier noodles too, but it actually was nice that the noodles were thinner because it went well with the yuzu/lighter feel of the broth. The eggs were excellent. Most ramen places I've been to don't have well-flavored eggs. Overall great experience and will be back a lot!!

Uh oh... what happened to this place? I was craving all my favorites and every single bite left me disappointed. The flavors were off and I think the culprit was the lack of freshness. There was a bitter note in the poke cone that threw off my palette. The pork in the tonkatsu ramen was not torched properly so it lacked the smokey flavor and charred texture. The server agreed and took it back but having improperly cooked pork in my broth was a buzz kill. I'm sad cause I really liked this place but I'm not sure I can overlook the bad experience we had today... I can't believe I paid $60+ for such a disappointing lunch.

An amazing spot in a beautiful village. I had just gotten off a plane and really needed something to eat. Despite it being 90° outside, I just wanted a big bowl of Ramen. Kansui delivered! Service was quick, and the food was delicious. My bowl of Ramen was amazingly warm and tasty, and the side of pickled cabbage helped cut through the richness of the broth. The noodles were delicious deliciously toothsome, and the toppings, warm and tasty. Would recommend!

The ramen place in Westlake period. I think we must visited Kansui over 3 times in the past week or so and either for a quick lunch or some easy dinner we always enjoyed ourselves and had a great time here. My favorite ramen dish is their Dandan noodle. It has good zing without being too spicy or salty. Chicken karaage sando is a happy surprise find from their summer menu. If you like chicken karaage I would highly recommend give it a try. It's much bigger than I thought and chicken is very crispy and juicy paired well with the sauce. Also highly recommend the shaved ice from their summer menu if you have some healthy dessert after ramen. They are made from ice so no calories lol

A great experience by Davis. Fine quality ingredients that make the ramen so amazing. The service was excellent, fun atmosphere. It was an overall good time.

Amazing food!! The sushi cones were exceptional and a must-try appetizer. The ramen was so delicious and flavorful -- some of the best ramen I've had. The servers are very helpful and friendly as well. Highly recommend

We had a fun time at Kansu Ramen. Our initial impression was promising, the atmosphere was nice, and the staff was very kind. The Tan Tan ramen was very good, and the noodles seemed high quality. However, the Yuzu Shio wonton ramen was a one-star dish. We asked for it extra spicy and were given spice on the side, but there was no heat at all, and the broth tasted like water.

Kansui delivers a thoughtful ramen experience with standout flavors and a few unexpected highlights. We started with the yuzu pepper wings, which were impressively crispy and packed with bright, citrusy flavor from the yuzu pepper. They came with a side sauce that tasted like a sweet soy blend--personally not my favorite--but honestly, the wings didn't need it; they stood strong on their own. We tried the tonkotsu ramen, which leaned more toward a dashi-forward rich profile rather than a fatty pork depth you'd expect from a classic tonkotsu. That said, it was still a solid bowl, especially considering the local ramen scene in the area. The surprise favorite, though, was the yuzu shio wonton ramen. The broth was light, refreshing, and beautifully balanced with citrus notes that didn't overwhelm. The wontons themselves were tasty, but a bit on the salty side. Still, the overall flavor of the bowl made it worth recommending. As a bonus, we happened to visit on a day when they were offering free kakigori (either strawberry or black sesame). We all went with the strawberry kakigori--and to our surprise, it was the real deal. The texture was that true fluffy shaved ice, not crunchy or grainy, and it paired perfectly with a mascarpone cream that was sweet without being heavy. Overall, Kansui is the best ramen in the area! I will definitely be back to try more dishes. I specifically want to try the chicken karaage given the perfection of frying of the yuzu pepper wings.

Low quality broth and noodles, overpriced for its quality. Karaage bowl was okay, but not spectacular in anyway.

Taking advantage of the combo special $40 for 1 appetizer 1 dessert and 2 ramen. Any kind. Place is small and clean. It's a nice place to hangout with friends for some desert and ramen. Service is friendly and fast. Our server is super sweet. Karagge chicken is almost like a teriyaki chicken but saltier. Personally, I like my Karagge in smaller pieces not like a chicken tender size. It came in 3 big pieces top with thinly sliced onion ( half caramelized ) sauces are like teriyaki chicken but more saltier. I got a yuzu ramen. Which is very good. I forgot what other ramen I got. Then yuzu ice cream. Which is a vanilla ice cream drizzled with yuzu marmalade. It's a pretty solid ramen place for our area. Definitely will be back. Thanks Kansui ramen.

Kansui Ramen is a good ramen shop, but a wee bit expensive. We got the combo's which include a nice fresh green salad , a small side and the bowl of ramen. For our sides we ordered the fried wonton, which were okay. And the small chicken karaage bowl. I like the chicken a little smaller pieces, but it was decent. For the ramen, we ordered the yuzu shio ramen which was good, a nice flavor, although not my favorite Shio ramen. And the vegan tan tan men, which was a little spicy and overall a good bowl of ramen. The service was very good, timely and had everything we needed. The atmosphere of the restaurant is a nice modern little restaurant. I like Kansui Ramen, but must admit it was a little bit pricey although it was good overall.

Nice place. The food is good. The service is good. The prices are high and the portion of chicken is very small. That's the only reason I give it a 3

The food is consistently delicious, the prices are reasonable, and the service is always friendly. My go-to order is the Tonkotsu Ramen. One thing I really appreciate is that they offer Japanese white pepper upon request. Not many ramen restaurants carry this classic condiment, and it adds the perfect finishing touch to a great bowl of ramen. My newest addiction, however, is their Crab Cream croquettes. It comes with spicy mayo and pickled cucumbers, and it's absolutely amazing. I tried it for the first time last week and haven't been able to stop craving it since. The crispy exterior and creamy filling are the perfect combination. If you're looking for authentic, comforting Japanese food in Westlake Village, Tsuki Ramen is a must-try.

I gotta say I'm very jealous of my partner for living near TWO exquisite ramen places (Tsuki Ramen…read moreand Ox Bone Ramen). I opted for the classic Tonkotsu while he ordered the Hokkaido Coconut. Both were super delish, but I'd say I liked the Coconut one better. Some of my favorite Asian dishes feature coconut milk, like Thai curry and Ginataang kalabasa--and I've never experienced coconut milk in ramen but it works so amazingly well. I'd def liken it to curry a little bit more just by flavor profile but it suits ramen noodles splendidly. What I do admire about this place is that they have main courses that aren't just noodles (ramen or udon), there's a lot of variety enough that I think a group with a picky eater should be able to find something that suits them! Service was kind and hospitable. Ambiance is pretty standard for a restaurant, nothing particularly homey or posh. Hoping to try a ramen burger the next time I come here!

Nori Japanese Grill has clearly remained a local favorite and standing the test of time like that deserves a round of applause. I've driven by this spot on Thousand Oaks Boulevard so many times and after running errands one afternoon, I found myself starving and wanting something casual where I could get in and out quickly. The restaurant is super casual, and you order at the counter, but they take care of everything after that. Your food is brought right to your table, and honestly, I love this style of dining. You pay upfront, so once you're finished eating, you can simply head out whenever you're ready. It's perfect for a quick lunch. I was being a basic girl when I came and kept it simple with shrimp tempura and a California roll. The food here is solid, simple, and satisfying. I'm not here to tell you it's "the best sushi I've ever had" but it's just classic Japanese comfort food done well. The shrimp tempura was perfectly crispy and I liked the tempura side sauce for dipping. The california roll was no frills but tasty. For about $25 after tip, I got a drink, a sushi roll, and shrimp tempura, which honestly isn't bad in today's economy. It definitely beats grabbing fast food or eating at the same old boring chain restaurants. If you find yourself in Thousand Oaks looking for a quick, satisfying lunch, stop by and support this longtime local staple. It definitely hit the spot!
