If I could say there was an outstanding group of individuals for this new install of a Daikin split…read moreair conditioning unit. Without question and hesitation clearly the installers Angel and Junior went far above and beyond what an average company employee would do without question. A lot of things can be promised by a salesman and not fulfilled. These two professional installers made sure on a Saturday and returning on their day off, a Sunday to complete the job. And to complete the job right. It's easy to be hesitant in this day and age to be able to trust a company. But these two gentlemen are the mission statement of this company. I would never hesitate to use this company again if these two professionals were involved with my job. Thank you gentlemen for a job well done.

Not Recommend Lowest…read morepossible rating and DO NOT recommend. If you need help, Affordable Heating and Air has an absolute culture of inaction after they finish your job. They installed a new AC system for me. Installation crew spoke little to no English and could not explain the use and programming of the smart thermostat at all. A few days later, another of their technicians, Juan, came to the house to inspect the installation. He was busy patting himself on the back over some adjustments he made to the system, but then I asked him how to program the thermostat and explained some problem issues I had with it. Well, Juan couldn't program it or address my problems and he said he'd get back to me after speaking with the manufacturer. He never got back to me. So I called the company a few days later and was transferred to Lorraine. She was up the food chain somewhat, so I felt better about this. I explained the issues to her and she claimed to be scheduling a service call for me as we spoke, but I never heard anything on that. A follow-up text to Lorraine days later got no response. I called the company again and was transferred to Sarah. I provided another explanation of the problem and she asked if they installed the thermostat. I answered "yes" then did not hear from her again. After six days, I texted her back to ask if they at all intended to help and just say "no" if they don't. She said "of course" and offered to send someone over but first wanted to send me a "cheat sheet" for programming. She emailed it to me and it proved much less detailed than the owner's manual, so no help there. I text replied to Sara someone should come out to see the thermostat and asked if they had other compatible thermostats I could switch too. Eight days later, there was yet another period of "no response", so I gave up with them. I had another company over (Family Air Conditioning of Simi Valley and certified for the make of my system) and they called the manufacturer and made some adjustments to the system. Within a few hours, problem solved.

Michael handled all the business and clearly explained to me in my home what equipment options were available (all Lennox via Costco) and what payment options and benefits were available to Costco members. I took a few different estimates from other companies and although I found comparable equipment and installations that might have priced out cheaper than Around the Clock, the benefits received from Costco for CostcoCash along with direct cash refunds made them very appealing. Michael is very patient in the process of answering any and all questions regarding the equipment, installation, etc. The installation was smooth and painless. The team of two installers were polite and professional. They worked clean which is greatly appreciated. The installation took about a day and a half. End result: I'm very satisfied with my experience with Around the Clock. A very professional installation with great customer service. The new system has completely transformed the comfort level of my home. It's already been battle tested in this SGV summer and I couldn't be happier. If you're on the fence in deciding whether or not Around the Clock is a vendor you'd like to use, I whole heartedly recommend them.

It…read morewas an ancient unit that certainly needed replacement, but when we called The Right Choice, they arrived with the pushiest, sleaziest salesman you could imagine. He immediately insisted (more like demanded) that we needed new ducts as well as a new system. When I told him that we wanted a unit with a higher SEER rating for energy efficiency and lower electric bills, he dismissed my suggestion as if I was stupid for even asking about it. My guess is that they have some sort of deal with Goodman, because that is the brand that they forced on us. What was the grand total you ask? Over $20,000. And that was 8 years ago! Not only did they NOT replace all of the ducts (like they said they would) their installation was the most Mickey Mouse-looking trash I have ever seen. They must have put at least 5 pounds of mastic tape around the unit to try and seal it up and it still leaked cold air after a week of use. These are scam artists masquerading as professionals. Even after that ordeal was over, they would call us constantly, year after year, telling us we needed to pay for a tech to come out and service our system. Besides hosing off our compressor unit with our own garden hose, the only thing their tech ever did was aggressively try to sell us on more services. They never once opened up the unit to clean the coils. They never once topped off the coolant. They never even cleaned out the condensate pipe. 8 years later and I am paying the price with outrageous cooling bills, a leaky unit that is more mastic than air conditioner, and a clogged condensate line that I had to clean out myself (it took about 5 minutes once I had the right tool). Do not let these people into your home. There is a reason that you see so many one-star reviews among the four and five-star ones. Do not disregard those reviews (they are real people). This company will take advantage of anybody who is not particularly knowledgeable about HVAC. They are pushy and rude; they will try to sell you products and services that you do not need. They will continue to harass you with phone calls for years afterwards. Stay away. Stay far, far away.
