It was good quality poke! Pretty expensive for what it was ($16 for two scoops of protein) plus an extra 50 cents to put some sauce on the side vs on top. We used to live on the west coast and developed quite the poke addiction. Since moving to Denver, we have tried a decent variety of different poke places around town and this one is by FAR the best. We really appreciated the extra care that was taken in assembling the bowls. It makes a huge difference when the sauce is tossed separately with the protein instead of just poured over the top of the bowl. I happened to notice the person who was serving us cleaning and wiping things down as they went, so I took the opportunity to glance around the restaurant and peek towards the back. Everywhere I could see looked completely clean and spotless- truly exceeding expectations. Our bowls were beautifully garnished, delicious, and reminded me that there are a lot of other poke places around here that are really just OK. I've now been to Poke Moke twice and it is a good poke place. The first time was over a month ago and I was able to go inside to order and choose my toppings and I was pretty happy. The fish itself tasted a little soft, like it was frozen and or not a good cut of fish. But I wanted to try once again. I used grubhub this time and the process was easy and quick. It was also ready within minutes which is nice. The poke bowl itself was the same. The fish was good but not the best quality. I'm torn by Poke Moke. Toppings included jalapeños, mango, cilantro, garlic, onion, green onions, sweet chili (which was suggested by the employee and high-five to him, because this was an excellent choice, avocado, ginger, sunflower seeds, and some sesame oil. Good, fresh poke. You can build your own bowl, first choosing brown or white rice, or greens as the base. There are a bunch of protein choices, I like the spicy salmon, the calamari salad (costs extra), the shrimp, and the scallops. Obviously you're not going to have all of these on one bowl, but this gives an idea of the range of choices. Tofu is a vegetarian option. Veggie mix-ins include onion, bok choy, pineapple, and edamame. I like the Moke mix sauce, which hits all the right notes. There are a bunch of possible toppings, favs include seaweed salad, crab salad, and mango. So awesome when you find your personal favorite combo! Very limited indoor seating and a couple of tables outside when the weather's nice. We like to grab a couple of bowls to go and walk to the nearby James Manley Park--4th and Columbine--to eat when the weather's nice.
