He's a 2 but gets lunch at Turtle Boat! It doesn't get better than this, isn't just something I tell myself in the mirror to make me feel better as an affirmation but is also true about the quality of food and service here!!!

Overall it was good. Staff was super friendly and helpful since it was our first time. Solid portion amount for the regular size but I think I personally like a good ratio of just the base and fish. I ended up getting rainbow trout and striped bass as my protein, picked a variety of vegetable toppings, yuzu vinaigrette as my sauce, added most of the aromatic and crunchy toppings, kani and seaweed salad to top it off. It was good quality fish and toppings but the sauce was really lacking that yuzu kinda punch and also would have also been nice to have a little sauce or seasoning on the rice. The sauce on my girlfriends order was really good though (spicy mayo and house sauce together)

Just plopped into town and it was the first cuisine experience for a a group of 4 -- and everyone was thrilled. Delicious! Sustainable fish -- 5 stars! Amazing toppings. Outside seating. LOVE it. Want to take this back home with me to San Francisco! Thanks Turtle Boat!

The service here cannot be beat. Patient, kind and helpful. Love that you don't have to pay extra to have all the toppings added. Just order the "full boat". Awesome options for vegan and vegetarians too. Best place in Denver to get poke!!!

As a vegan who doesn't like tofu, finding a poke place can be challenging. Turtle Boat was recommended to me as just a poke place, but when I checked out their site and learned about all their vegan options, I had to try it! Their staff was very helpful in explaining all the different vegan options and what they were made of. Every item has a respective V for vegan, GF for gluten free, and/or SF for soy free sticker next to it so you can make easy choices based on your dietary needs or preferences. The amount of food you get for the price is good! It's all high quality and fresh. The pickled ginger is amazing, all the diverse toppings work together nicely. I really enjoyed my meal, it had good heat without being overpowering and all the layers of fresh, crunchy, fermented, tangy flavors was lovely! I will definitely be back!

I went in hungry and confused as to why my frequented poke spot was closed at 1:00 pm. That's a common lunch hour after all! Never the matter, Turtle Boat satisfied my grumbling belly and has won my business. The seafood and veggies are noticeably fresher, and much more delectable. You guys are a treat! Thank you for all that you do, stay Clorado proud!

What a great spot! The staff was very friendly and willing to offer suggestions for good flavor combinations. The bowl ingredients was fresh and had a little kick of spice. The person preparing my dish also pointed out the sustainability of their local ingredients. I had the bass and all the mix ins. The salad was a nice break from lots of rice. Spicy edamame and a little potato salad were fun to try, too. The ambiance was hip - graffiti outside with tables for some fresh air. A few seats inside, but nothing fancy.

Large plate w/ striped bass, salmon, wasabe-mole, Korean glass noodle salad, and a little bit of all of the toppings. YUM!

Not only is the food STILL amazing, but I am stunned by their support of the local community amidst the Covid-19 pandemic. Today, Turtle Boat was giving out free soup to folks, no questions asked. They gave you an option on bathe order form to donate, and those proceeds are going to support nurses and hospitality/food service professionals. I know Turtle Boat's business is hurting right now too, so it really warms my heart to see them continuing to give back to the local community. Thanks for the generosity Turtle Boat! I'm so glad to have you in the neighborhood!

The best poke!!! Delicious and amazing every time. So many interesting / non traditional toppings and protein choices. They also are very thoughtful about being sustainable and local (local fish choices, local beverages, compostable bags, etc).

Amazing service and great, clean space. Happy to stop in today to support local and check this spot out for My first time. Everything tasted SO fresh and I loved the variety. The employee was friendly and suggested lots of great items. He was very knowledgeable about the sauces and helped me pick the perfect one. I'm happy I stopped in and supported this local business. This Poke is fresh and delicious. Next time I will get the bigger portion!

OMG I love this place and wish it was closer to my house, but I will be going out of my way to come back again soon with friends. The ownership and staff is very friendly, helpful, and I love how they source the items they sell locally (food as well as the Kombucha they sell). The fish was fresh and they have out of the ordinary fish from the competition (the striped bass was delicious). I got the Salmon and Stripped Bass on greens with Krab and Wasabi Guac and I got my husband the Salmon and Ahi Tuna with Krab and Seaweed Salad. The topping are great, they are not stingy on what they put in their bowl, and the Siracha mayo was tasty on my greens as well. They have three sizes and we each had a medium which was a good size. I did togo, but there is a small eating area and a small amount of seating outside. Parking is available in back which is great. I will definitely be back even though it is not that convenient from my home as this local business definitely stands out from the other poke competition! Enjoy!

When did poke bowls turn so vegetarian/vegan friendly? Thanks turtle boat! The staff was extremely helpful and patient in explaining the options to us and the bowl we got at the end was fresh and tasty! The texture and flavors were impressive. I must say I was really happy with my first ever bowl of poke! Murals on the outside are pretty cool too!

We went here for a slightly late Saturday lunch after running some errands. We managed to find a parking spot at the back of this tiny establishment. Once we enter Turtle Boat, we are greeted promptly and straight away go to the counter to order our food aka "Chipotle" style. The staffs who handled our transactions, answered all our questions with regards to the menu. My friend opt to have the snack size ($7.99) and Izze can beverage ($1.49), while I opt for the large size bowl ($13.99) with 3 proteins and 3 different types of salads, that you can choose. As for beverage, I opt to purchase a can of Coconut Juice ($2.25) which you can get at the refrigerated section on the left wing of the Ordering Counter. In terms of the portions, its doable.. but for what you get in terms of proteins, its limited for my taste bud, hence this 3 stars painful heartfelt review. There is a water dispenser (self-service) if you want at the back of this establishment located next to the washroom and other disposable cutlery. Turtle Boat is tiny though they are kept clean at all times. There are patio seating available outside Turtle Boat itself. I finished my lunch, coz I was "starving"... But maybe due to the fact, there aren't much of variety, I just go with the flow. The service from the staffs are indeed stellar. That alone received 4 stars in my books. To return its a maybe, and I hope they can offer many more variety options that can call my name err in this case my rumbling tummy as I wrote this review. I was very skeptical at that point if I was going to really like this place. Next, we got seated quite quickly although there were 5 couples ahead of us. All the staff members I encountered were very friendly, nice and attentive which was a huge plus, especially considering how busy it was that day. We ordered our food and noticed they had very good prices and cheaper than our go-to seafood boil place so that's a win! The food came out hot, our server emptied out the bags for us which was very nice. I ordered the shrimp with head on xxtra hot and It was the perfect spice level for my latina taste buds, absolutely loved it even with just the garlic butter sauce. My husband got snow crab and he was very pleased with how tasty and easy it was to crack them open and get the crab out. If you have leftovers they will pack it up for you which is another plus for me! Lastly, I got a beautiful rose to end the night when we were heading out which was a nice touch! Overall, I will definitely be coming back to this restaurant. It was delicious and cooked perfectly! I am excited to try out their other sauces and look forward to it!

We changed that yesterday. We were trying to think of a new place to go try and the crab House popped into our thoughts. And we're so glad we went! It wasn't salty which we kind of expected. The prices were very reasonable and we're glad we don't have to go all the way to Denver to get this type of food anymore. Coming from Illinois we had a quite a few of these types of places near where we lived, but we don't have a lot of Cajun seafood here in Colorado. Well that's how I felt this morning, so VinaMeals was where I ended. I ordered two items, so join me and read my food journey... Just had bánh ít tràn, a Vietnamese, steamed sticky rice dumplings dish. This dish reminds me of my mom's cooking where she used to make us this dish all the time to eat for breakfast. Lots ingredients inside the these three dumplings including mung bean, wood ear mushroom, jicama carrot, onion, garlic, minced with pork and shrimp. It came with steamed bean sprouts, cucumber, and fish sauce to dip the dumplings or just pour over the dish. I felt the accommodating items didn't add any value to this dish, but boy, did these dumplings bring back good memory. Of course, when you are here, you have to get their small wonton soup. It is one of the best I have ever eaten. I believe the broth that is the star, and the wontons come very close but just a second too late. This small soup is very filling, and I always wonder if adding a bowl of plain rice into the soup will make this dish a complete meal. We will have to find out later. I recommend planning ahead with a reservation, as they can get busy during a dinner rush. We were visiting Colorado for a quick weekend trip and were floored by the food here. While the rolls all sounded great, we opted for an omakase experience. It is priced at market value, so I imagine this could vary over time, but they had three tiers for omakase, which I thought were all fairly priced for the amount of food included. We opted for the highest tier, which was $120 pp, and it was incredibly filling with high quality cuts of fish and a thoughtfully curated menu. The sushi chef who took care of us was incredibly kind, and it was clear he put a lot of care into the food he prepared. If you're on the fence, hop off and make that reservation and come hungry for the omakase experience!

There was also zero indication whether you seat yourself or wait to be seated, so customers are left awkwardly standing around wondering what's going on. To make things worse, the entrance feels bizarre and rundown, like you're sneaking into the back of a storage building instead of entering a restaurant. The restaurant wasn't very busy when we arrived, and we requested outdoor seating. The hostess was very accommodating, quickly putting two tables together so we could sit outside in the shade on a beautiful Denver evening. The Alaska-inspired menu is fairly limited, but several items sounded appealing, especially the Elk Meatloaf. Our order included: * Bethel Brussels Sprouts ($12) * Elk River Meatloaf ($24) * Seward Caesar with chicken ($15) * Kids Fish & Chips ($9) Let's start with the positives. Service was very good throughout the meal, and our waitress was friendly and accommodating. The Brussels sprouts were a hit with the table -- flavorful and well prepared. The fries served with the fish & chips were hot, crispy. And the dinners were all generously portioned. Unfortunately, the rest of the food ranged from mediocre to disappointing. We were especially looking forward to the elk meatloaf, but both orders arrived extremely dry. The mashed potatoes and gravy were actually quite good, but they couldn't overcome the texture of the meatloaf itself. At least half of each serving was left uneaten. We substituted mixed vegetables for the green beans and found them undercooked, with the carrots still quite hard. The Caesar salad also disappointed, with wilted lettuce, and the fish in the fish & chips was described as bland. The patio itself is pleasant, but it sits directly beside a busy road, so traffic noise can be significant at times. Perhaps we simply ordered the wrong dishes, but given our experience, we were surprised by the restaurant's very high Yelp rating.
