Fried Alligator! Yummy. Even my 16 yo liked it and she don't like anything!

My guy and I have been here many many times. Never had anything we didn't like. The fried mushrooms, seafood platter, gumbo, and the last two times we got the crab legs! Oh my! Also the calamari and oysters! So good! Alligator as an appetizer on point! It saddens me that they are not busier. We have to support our local folks. It really is good! Yes the local is weird, but it is Bertram, TX. Help keep this business in town.

Really good food and super nice workers. I would recommend this place. Wish they would open one in Burnet.

Our waitress, Shanta, was outstanding and made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. The food had that authentic, old-school New Orleans flavor that reminds you of how great Southern cooking used to be. If you know, you know. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and relaxing, making the entire experience even better. The staff was friendly, the service was excellent, and the food was absolutely amazing. I've eaten at a lot of restaurants over the years, and this was a breath of fresh air. It's the kind of place that keeps you coming back again and again. If you're ever in the area, do yourself a favor and stop in for a great meal. You won't be disappointed. The ambiance alone is worth the visit, and the food and service make it even better. Highly recommended! My wife had a chat with the owner and she also showed a very kind and welcoming spirit. Kind of like a Sunday meal environment

The etoufe that was divine. It was on the menu as smothered over the fish and shrimp and rice(I chose blackened, but I believe grilled and fried are options), but it actually came on the side. No worries, I smothered it myself, and it was delicious. The side green beans were extremely tasty. Not mushy, but well seasoned and well cooked in a Cajun fashion. I ordered the bread pudding for dessert. The sauce was on the side, and I micro'd it for 10 seconds to warm it a bit. It was SOOO good. I may go there in person tomorrow for lunch or dinner. If I do. I'll get some photos!! Highly recommend if in Marble Falls!!!

Every time we come in, CJ remembers us, treats us like family, and makes sure everything is perfect. The energy, the kindness, and the attention to detail never go unnoticed. This is Vietnamese-Cajun surf and turf with a menu that feels a mile long. Traditional Southern coastal fare sits right alongside burgers, New England clam chowder, and even tacos. I did give my Yelp buddy a heads-up that he was driving through traffic to dine at what I'd call a three-star establishment. Well, I warned him... I started with the fried calamari, which was chewy. The sauce that came with it was fine, but nothing memorable. I also ignored my inner voice telling me to stay away from the fried oysters. They were cooked well, but they did not sit well with me. I usually shy away from Gulf of Mexico oysters, though I will occasionally partake when they are fried, BBQ'd, or broiled. Sidebar: Drago's in Metairie, LA still has the best BBQ oysters. I know folks love CR, and it clearly has a loyal following, but I'm tapping out.

Since the restaurant is dog friendly, it's a perfect mid way point in our trip to stop and have dinner with the company of our furry friend. Add in the friendly staff which we always seem to have and you will leave feeling special and like you yourself grew up in a small Texas town. We enjoy the relaxed atmosphere inside and chatting it up with the locals. On this Friday night, live music filled the air and it made for a lovely evening. Loud, but not loud enough to distract from our own conversations. There is a good selection of seafood & steaks entrees. In particular, try the different kinds of shrimp dishes even if it is just a side adder to your main entree. The size of the portions are just big enough to leave satisfied even without dessert. Prices are fair considering the amount of food served.

That right there told me they knew it was no good and just didn't want to deal with it. So I waited for hubs to finish his meal, paid the ticket and just decided we would never go back. The food is gross and the service is awful. Agree to disagree. Whatever. This was the worst meal I've had in a very long time!!!

Initially, the hostess told us they couldn't accommodate our party, but then they changed their mind. The interaction felt uncomfortable, as she emphasized their policies for large groups and mentioned that they normally require a minimum of $145 per person. She ultimately allowed us to bypass that requirement as long as everyone ordered an entrée. Our waitress, however, was wonderful and provided excellent service throughout the meal. I ordered the clam and mussel pot, which I found surprisingly bland, though the bread was delicious. The rest of my group seemed to enjoy their meals much more than I did. Unfortunately, there were also some cleanliness concerns. A spider descended from the ceiling onto our table during dinner, and another bug crawled across the table. There was even a bug zapper in the corner of the restaurant that seemed to be going off constantly throughout our meal. For a party of seven, our bill came to around $700. Given the overall experience, the food quality, and the atmosphere, it felt a bit underwhelming for the price.
