    Patty melt
    Heather C.

Although off season, there was a vendor fair at the convention center so it was very busy. We stopped for a lunch. The pork on the Mac and cheese was good, but the Mac n cheese was like soup and had zero flavor. We specifically asked if the pierogis were deep fried or sautéed and was assured they were not deep fried. Well they were absolutely deep fried and dry. The patty melt was on barely toasted bread, not grilled. The mozzarella sticks were good. The service was okay, the server was didn't have good personal space understanding and stood less than inches from us.

The menu is great. Came here for a tasting i was hosting on behalf of Bacardi. Great service and very shore like ambiance.

We really enjoyed this place! It was the first restaurant we went to since COVID and we were glad we decided to sit and eat. The staff were all wearing masks, seating people a good distance apart (outside at the time), and walking around cleaning tables and making an obvious effort to be as hygienic as possible. As a patron I really appreciated seeing this. Our food was really good too. Loved the oysters and Buffalo cauliflower bites... so good. I had some kind of tuna sandwich thing (I can't exactly remember now)... but it was so good! My husband had some steak that he enjoyed a lot also. The seating outside had a wonderful view of the ocean and the staff were friendly and attentive. It was a great experience. We miss eating out like we used to, and it was nice to enjoy a restaurant and still feel safe!

This is a new restaurant that was formerly The Anchor's Bend. The layout is still the same, they still have the beach bar which is nice. The drink menu looks the same but they've changed the food menu. I tried the filet mignon sandwich. I really wanted to like this sandwich but it tasted bland, something was missing. It came with a side of carrot slaw and pickles. We ordered a side of fries which were really good. I'd probably come back to have some drinks because the view is nice. Don't know if I'd return for another meal.

I wanted to start off by saying that I'm glad this place has outdoor seating and beach seating that allows dogs. They even gave the bigger dogs that we were with bowls with some water. Here are pros and cons as to what I liked and disliked from this place. Pros: * Outdoor seating * Dog friendly + water bowle * Nice view * Oysters were delicious * Food was great Cons: * Peach sangria pitcher is like 75% ice * Drinks are too small * Pickles are disgusting ( I love pickles! ) * Coleslaw amount was disgustingly small.

Located in Convention Hall, Seahorse is just an average restaurant. Yes, it's cool to be in Asbury Park the last few years since the town's renaissance, but this venue is just an average waterfront watering hole. The staff is very nice and helpful though. The food is just ok. Prices are ok too.

All about the view!!! The menu sounds upgraded and promising. I tried the crab napoleon small plate special. It looked impressive BUT it was $18 and had no absolutely flavor. The wine blah. So $27 that was definitely not worth it. Maybe stick with a burger. The waitress is lovely! So the stars are for the waitress and the view.

Order: Me : Short rib cheesesteak rum bucket Girlfriend : fish n chips w|some drink lol Pros: asbury park board walk, the cheesesteak was nothing special but the rum bucket is always a hit, I tried some of my girls fish and chips which was surprisingly good Cons: it's good boardwalk food but it isn't like restaurant material if that's what your looking for, it wasn't summer yet Overall: the staff was pretty attentive especially the younger man who seemed to be very infused with the business, gave us a great vibe welcomed us back hopefully he remembers us. Drinks are way better than the food!!

    Mistletoe margarita

This restaurant is dog friendly and located in the convention hall which is super cute. It makes for a unique and scenic experience with your pup. I will say I like cocktails more than the food. I got a mistletoe margarita which was like summer in a cup. So tasty delicious for a December day. I for chorizo Mac and cheese which was alright but not something I'd get again. I would go back and try something else on the menu though

Supposed to be Hummus w/ Feta Cheese, Fresh Herbs & Olive Oil w/ pita. No fresh herbs & no drizzle of olive oil. $14. Disappointing.

Entrees consisted of Australian Striped Bass, Gnocchi Truffle, Pollo Impanato di Milanese, and 3 orders of the Chicken Cordon Bleu. we shared an order of Warmed Mascrapone Spinach. Everything was served in a timely fashion - piping hot. Desserts consisted of a delicious Fruit Tart, Pecan and Walnut Tart and their terrific Pistachio Creme Brulee. Espresso, Capuccino and Americano Coffees paired well with our choices. Our waiter, Cosmo, was terrific. He knows his menu and was able to guide us in making our choices. Remember, Dolce Fantasia is BYOB. The chef came to our table twice to gauge our reaction to our meals, always a nice touch. The space is decorated nicely and we will definitely return.

Case in point - this restaurant has apparently been in the downtown area for several years and I had no idea. I stopped by here for lunch on Memorial Day with the Millennial Chum, and in a totally risky move, didn't make a reservation anywhere and just decided to wing it. The Millennial Chum's only requirement was that it be a place neither one of us had been to before, so after a very quick search/walk, we noticed this place and also decided we had a hankering for Italian. Done. I don't know how to describe the interior, but "yellow" and "modern" comes to mind. This isn't a stodgy white tablecloth kind of place; it's vibrant and hip, I'm sure trying to capture that classic Asbury demo. Really unique. The weather was a little meh, which worked in our favor - although there was a decent amount of foot traffic in the downtown area 70% of which were pooches, only one other table was occupied in here. We were able to sit down and were served very promptly. We were both very intrigued by one of the apps on the verbal specials menu - mango burrata, which sounded like sort of a mess, but also worth a try. Definitely more of the latter. Never would have thought to combine these two ingredients together, but it was really excellent and an interesting palate pairing. The presentation was solid as well, and this...didn't last long, although given that we both ordered entrees perhaps we should have been more responsible in that regard. Something I'd recommend for the regular menu in the future for sure. A lot of the entrees looked interesting and pretty authentic; this isn't just spaghetti and chicken parm (I'm not actually sure either was even on the menu). The one that emotionally spoke to me the most was the Pappardelle (one of my fave pastas and always pleased to see it) Al Telefono Nostro. Really hit the spot, and as you can see a really hardcore portion. The tomato cream sauce was light and flavorful, and the only nitpick I had (just a personal palate preference) was the inclusion of the sliced tomatoes. I'm sure a ton of people love those, and it basically adds a level of authenticity to the dish that a barbarian like me just can't quite appreciate. I made sure the Millennial Chum had a few tomato pieces though. Really good dish and would order it again. Honestly not sure what possessed us to even look at the dessert menu much less actually order from it, but I thought Oreo Tiramisu sounded interesting, despite the Millennial Chum's yowling that she despised tiramisu. It turns out she doesn't, because once this dish arrived she happily helped herself and decided that her opinion on tiramisu was likely based on a traumatic/misleading childhood incident. Bare minimum, this place gets solid marks for rewriting history for her in the Italian dessert department. But it WAS delicious, which was a theme of our meal. The service was top-notch; our waitress was over regularly and had a strong command of the menu (which I think deserves bonus points, given that this was not Americanized and it helped to have a metaphorical lifeguard helping us navigate some of the trickier stuff; I studied abroad in Florence over 20 years ago, but you'd never know it). Very pleasant. BIg recommend; not a ton of establishments under the radar in Asbury, but this might be one of them.

The restaurant set up chairs outside on the little green and it was a very lovely ceremony. The reception was a 5 hour cocktail / appetizer hour and it was everything anyone could ever want. Let's be real - when you go to a wedding it's the cocktail hour that steals the show. Now imagine that for the entire night! It was fantastic! The passed around appetizers were delicious and the rotation changed frequently. From grilled cheese and tomato soup shooters (my favorite), to three different tiny corn tacos (sweet potato, fish, and pulled pork), to sliders, to sweet and sour chicken skewers, to lobster rolls, to SO MUCH MORE. All of it was incredible. The drinks were also delicious. The bartenders, waiters, and waitresses were so very nice and accommodating. I went to grab a coffee from the coffee station and one of the servers told me he could make me a latte so of course I had to have one. The space is so lovely and held a good number of people without it feeling crowded at all. There were tables set up throughout the space and you could sit, or stand by the bar, or dance on the dance floor all night long. It was so much fun!
