Cool decor

Glad to have found a spot that was open late and had much better pricing considering this fancy downtown Seaport location. It's a great spot for hanging out by the bar and watching the game. As for the service, our waiter was friendly and offered suggestions since we were a bit torn about what to order. I was here with my family and we were all over the place with the menu. One kiddo wanted a sandwich, the other wanted just appetizers. Hubby and I chose entrees. Appetizers: - meatballs came with garlic butter bread but the butter wasn't really melted. Meatballs were good with a pepper-y aftertaste. - lobster bisque was way too salty. Had a few loose pieces of lobster so that was nice to see. It was like a sherry cream base. All soups are one size. - Mac and cheese bites were served with ranch dipping sauce. This was good but needed a little more salt or cheese. It was not memorable. The beef short rib grilled cheese was really delicious. Totally recommend. Comes with fries and they were served in a little basket with ketchup on the side. Entrees: - rosemary steak tips as requested were medium rare. This was recommended by our waiter so we ordered it. The mashed potatoes it was served with was a nice heaping portion and totally butter heavy. Very much a comfort food item on a cold Winter night. - pan roasted seabass, as I know it's not a seafood restaurant, I just didn't want meat. Ordered the seabass, great portion and the string beans were perfectly cooked "al dente". Good crisp. And the wild rice (pilaf) with mushrooms it came with was a nice side accompaniment. Seabass was a bit dry but flavor was good. Next time we'll stick to bar food, that was consistent and probably what they are best at. Great location, a block from the waterfront.

Bar area, nice place to spend time with my son... good vibes definitely a place for young crowd.

Great service all the employees were cracking jokes and reading off the menu, food was pretty good, wouldn't suggest the Mac and cheese, just a bit bland but the cheeseburger sliders are a must try. The whole vibe was amazing to with energetic music lights and sports photos

Espresso martini

I loved my experience at seaport social! I started with an espresso martini and got the cutest little design out on it - i loved that! It was such a tasty drink too. Then I got chips and guac as well as the non alcoholic margarita. The guac was high quality and the mocktail was nice as well. The little rubber ducky was such a cute touch! I loved everything about this. The place was pretty dead Tuesday after work so was service was very fast.

Great atmosphere and drinks!

I initially walked by and saw people sitting in here with TVs on sports, playing and great music. After freshening up at the hotel, I came back here and had a dirty martini which was very well-made and friendly service. Probably come back here multiple times during my visit.

Maple Bourbon Smash

It was a very long day and I wanted to grab something close to the hotel so I popped into Seaport Social. Cool looking bar. There was a pretty good crowd. Most were just drinking. My waitress recommended the Maple Whiskey Smash, some ordered it. It was ok. More lemon than anything else. Couldn't taste the bourbon or the maple. Not a bad drink, but not what I expected. I ordered a cup of clam chowder. It too was just ok. A lot of smoke and almost no clam. For dinner I got the steak tips with mash and asparagus. All 3 were under seasoned and after I finished, I reviewed the menu and it would appear that they forgot to include the bearnaise sauce. The waitress was quite busy with other tables and was mostly ignored. My chowder was deliver about 30 seconds before my dinner. I'd have ordered a cocktail but by the time she got around to checking in on me, I was ready to leave. There is a convention in town which might explain my experience. I'll try it again sometime and get a burger.

Pasta bolognese

TL;DL - confusing vibes and mediocre food. First of all, the vibes were weird. There were hallmark movies on some screens and random, minor league basketball teams playing on the others. There was also rap music playing which was confusing and didn't fit with the rest of the vibe. The crab cakes were good but the rest of the food was at or below average. Service was a little slow and certainly nothing to write home about.

Well, I wanted to like this place. I did. The service was the worst I've had in Boston and while my fish and chips was crisp, it had no flavor. Lobster bisque has plenty of lobster, but no flavor. A newer place that needs better service and some old bay seasoning.

Drinks before a show at the Leader Bank Pavilion.

Good service at a busy bar. Old Fashioned was on point. Did not order any food, but menu looks good. Loud music and crowded at the bar, but good atmosphere.

We tried 4 different types and every single one tasted super fresh, clean, and just really high quality. You can tell they know what they're doing here, even the way they shuck it is nice and clean, no shell pieces or anything. Their menu actually has like 10+ kinds of oysters, highly selective and premium. I really wish we had more time (and stomach space) to try more. But we already had like 3 dinners planned that night lol so this was more like a "stop by and eat as much oysters as possible" situation. Honestly I'm pretty sure the other food here is just as good, based on what I saw on other tables. Definitely coming back next time I'm in Boston.

(I'm certain the staff are aware that many of their diners express shock, once the price is disclosed...) Many folks simply make an assumption or a guesstimate, as to the price, when they see 'MP' on a menu, and this is usually based upon their prior experiences, ordering such a menu item. So, for example, I was thinking the lobster roll might be in the $40-45 range. So imagine my utter shock, when we received the bill, to see a charge for $69?? I have never in my life had such an expensive lobster roll. Yes, it was delicious, and the housemade potato chips were also great. The slaw was also good (though it was a very tiny amount...I would have liked more). But boy, did that price shock me. I would normally never have voluntarily ordered a $69 lobster roll. It simply never would have occurred to me, that a place would ever charge that much....

The reservation process was easy and a group of 5 was easily accommodated on the day and time requested. We arrived together after a short walk from the office. Bonus points to Moooo for not only having complimentary coat check, but also safe bag storage knowing much of their clientele on a weeknight is in transit from the office to home. Please people, don't forget to tip the coat check girls, it is only the right thing to do. Seated at our table the restaurant was initially fairly empty, but filled up nicely while we are already enjoying cocktails, wine, and appetizers. The long bar followed by tables of various sizes filled the restaurant, but it never was too loud and there was plenty of space between tables that you did not feel like you were sitting on top of each other or listening to their conversation more then the person across from your own table. Like most fine dining experiences, the complimentary rolls were served warm and lathered in melted butter. Sinful!. We ordered several appetizers for the table to share including tuna tartare which was very tasty and recommended. I also recommend the Japanese wagyu beef dumplings which were both delicate and savory. Lastly, the calamari was crispy and hot with the right amount of heat from the lemon and herb aioli. To accompany the entrees we ordered the broccolini, Yukon gold potatoes and the highly recommended tater tots. The only issue we had was with the tots which we collectively thought were both slightly over cooked and tasted "different". Said another way, I have never had a tater tot that didn't leave me wanting to eat them one after another until they were all gone, but this one was more than enough and more than 3/4 of the serving was left for the bus-person. Three of us ordered the 8oz Omaha filet which were cooked to perfection and delicious. Why is there not a 12 oz offering like most steak houses? Literally mine looked like it was 4 oz on the large, stark white plate when served. Thankfully being cooked to a perfect medium rare and accompanies by a bordelaise sauce which is also a rarity to find offered, was a treat. The prime New York sirloin and prime ribeye were equally cooked perfectly and delicious. We passed on dessert or after dinner drinks, but certainly enjoyed our visit. I have eaten at the Beacon Hill location previously, but this was my first experience in the seaport, but it won't be my last.

I had been craving fish tacos for a really long time, and I was delighted to find a whole section of the menu dedicated to them. We started off with margaritas - one of the best companions to fish tacos - and I ordered mine spicy with jalapeño. For food, we shared the lobster empanadas and chorizo and potato taquitos. I ordered the tempura fish tacos for myself. Our margaritas were brought out shortly - mine was refreshing but lacked the kick from the jalapeño that I was hoping for (there was only one thin slice of pepper). Our food was brought out shortly, and I found it a bit overwhelming when our appetizers and tacos came out together. I started with my tacos, and these were excellent. The fish was flaky and fried to perfection, and I loved the rainbow of sauces and toppings. Plus, the tortillas were nice and sturdy and didn't tear. The lobster empanadas were super decadent, and I appreciated the substantial amount of lobster stuffed inside. I was too full to eat much of the taquitos but took a few bites. These also had good flavor but weren't standouts. Next time, I'd just get the tacos and maybe a light app. Towards the end of our visit, the restaurant seemed to clear out, and we had a difficult time trying to locate our server for the bill. Overall, we had a nice meal and satisfied the fish taco craving.

The Seaport space is just as stunning--decked out in pink, super aesthetic, and definitely a fun, photo-worthy vibe. Unfortunately, the experience didn't quite live up to expectations. For drinks, I ordered a pitcher margarita with jalapeño, and it was disappointing. It didn't taste fresh and came across more like artificial jalapeño flavoring rather than real infusion--and it wasn't spicy at all. For food, we ordered a variety of small plates to share. Everything was decent, but nothing really stood out. It felt a bit underwhelming compared to the atmosphere. The biggest issue was the service. It was very slow throughout the night, and getting the check was especially frustrating--it took about 30 minutes, and we had to ask multiple times before finally receiving it. Overall, the ambiance is beautiful and perfect for a celebration, but the drinks and service didn't match the vibe. Hoping this was just an off night.
