Being as I got stuck at SeaTac for the night, I booked a room at this hotel and once I was settled I came down for a meal and a beer. Immediately greeted and sat in the corner as it was quite busy. They had a pick 3 meal deal so I opted for that fresh Chowdaaaa (which was stellar) and the black cod. Everything had a ton of flavor and was filling. I could've done without that rice though as it wasn't very good. Gave my dessert pick away as I didn't need it. I sat at the bar to dine since I just wanted to have a drink and a quick meal since I had been travelling all day. The only good thing about this place was the bartender. I wish I had taken down his name. He was friendly, helpful, and not too annoying. It took a long time to get seated and they weren't that busy. After I waiting 10 minutes, there were a number of parties behind me. Not sure what was up. I ordered a beer and wings. The wings were dry and flavorless. And, we were quite happy we did. -Quick service, from seating to water to orders to food. - Calamari app was hot and very tender. -Caesar salad was crunchy and dressing was not overwhelming. -Hubs had the flank steak sandwich, requested med rare+ and it came perfectly cooked and hot, and also very tender. I had a bite and was impressed. Surprise to me because it was flank steak, (which can typically be tough). -I ordered the fish n chips which also came out very hot. Coating was good but not as crisp as it typically served (my only negative). However, the cod was flaky and nicely cooked. Yes, the prices are typical "hotel airport." But the food was better than most airport food. And if you are staying in the hotel, quite convenient on top of that. Would not hesitate to return. read more

Me and my family were staying at the double tree for our flight the next day and decided to get something to eat. I looked at the menu and decided to get the buffalo wings for $22 which is $3.14 per wing. The waiter took about 10 min to talk to us and 30 min to get our food for us which isn't bad. I got blue cheese with my buffalo wings which tasted off but I ignored it for the time being. Later that night, I had severe food poisoning and threw up 4 times in the night. I would not recommend this experience to anyone read more

Stayed at the Doubletree the night before we embarked (cruise to Alaska/Canada) and stayed another night after disembarkation. Due to other issues with the hotel, we don't plan to stay at this Doubletree ever again. However, one of the very bright spots was eating at this restaurant within the hotel. We were greeted warmly and seated immediately. The service was a bit slow in that only a couple of servers were working. However, we weren't pressed for time, so this was not a big deal at all. Our server was great, and the food was delicious. We started out with appetizers - fried calamari and wings. Decor is dated, but food was generous and good, and the service was pleasant and attentive. Good bar options. When the restaurant is slow they want adult parties to sit in the lounge which was a disappointment, but okay. We just overheard a lot of the bar talk. read more

Stopped in for a quick bite during a business trip. Nice looking decor, but a bit confusing at first. We couldn't really find a hostess stand, so we weren't sure if we needed to wait to be seated or if ti was just a free for all situation. To circumvent our confusion we just took a seat in the bar and hoped for the best. Our server was decent, but not very friendly. I think she barely said two sentences to us the whole time outside of "what would you like to drink" and "can I take your order". I ordered the Korean Style Wings off the app menu for a quick bite before heading off to bed. I will say, the wings were good. They had a perfect sticky sweet flavor that Korean style BBQ should have. Crunchy on the outside and perfectly tender on the inside. I was stranded at the airport and ended up staying at the Doubletree overnight. I decided to catch an easy dinner in the hotel. It's convenient that the QR code in your room allows you to preview the menu. I grabbed a seat at the bar for dinner. The bartenders are superb! I received the best service I have had at a bar while eating food anywhere. They were extremely pleasant and attentive without overdoing it. The atmosphere is nice and dimly lit. The bar chairs were very comfortable. For dinner I ordered the cedar plank salmon with pea pearl pasta and a caper butter sauce. Everything was perfectly cooked and delicious, even the asparagus. Dinner is expensive, but they do accept airport food vouchers which can help with the cost. If you are staying at the Doubletree and need dinner, I would highly recommend. read more

We were staying at the hotel the night before our flight home and being too tired to venture out of the hotel, I ordered food to eat in the room. The Doubletree Burger (added bacon) was so tasty and filling. The fries were crispy. It was the perfect hang out dinner in the room while watching TV. We ate at this restaurant at the Double Tree hotel on a layover in Seattle. We were tired and decided to give it a try and were very disappointed. Paid $28 for a Roast Beef panini and while it was high I expected roast beef carved from a roast etc. The bun was a standard white bratwurst bun that I can buy in a 6 pack at the grocery store and the beef was sliced deli meat. There were a few spicy peppers and a few slices of cheese. It was most definitely not worth $28 by a long shot. My husband had a burger that we paid $26 for which was a fairly standard burger, nothing special. The service was fun and the ambiance was ok but the food was very overpriced for the value. read more

The salads were $28 apiece! The worst part was the extremely surly waitress. We heard her berate a young woman who was there with an airline voucher, just trying to get a decent meal. She told this poor woman that she should have told her that she had an airline voucher because she would have had to order off of a special menu. How mean! How embarrassing! Another table of older diners were having a reunion and this horrible waitress told them very loudly that they were not to bring in outside beverages. One person had a coffee in a cup from another establishment. We heard this bawling out of the customers from across the restaurant! There were several tables with dirty dishes. The food was substandard for the super high prices they charged. I had vegetarian pasta and it was inedible and I'm not a picky eater. The spaghetti was drowned in oil with no sauce or seasoning. There were some ugly foul tasting mushrooms and five small tasteless pieces of tomato. It had a couple pieces of diced half inch asparagus. Two positive points is the server asked if I wanted anything else and also did not charge me for the greasy entree. Also this restaurant is conveniently located in the lobby of the doubletree hotel near the airport so it is very convenient if you need something to eat after a long flight. Don't expect any kind of relaxing atmosphere though. My friend's fish and fries were edible other than the fries being kind of cold. read more

I have a hard time posting reviews that are not 100% positive but also want to be honest. We were given a meal voucher for a cancelled flight to eat here or the prices would have scared us away. It may have just been my perception but I don't think so? We were instructed to show the voucher upon service. I felt we were not given the same attention as 'paying' customers. The restaurant was fairly quiet when we were seated but continued to pick up as time went on. Our order was taken and the food came out hot and fresh within a reasonable amount of time. Between the three of us we had two orders of Fish n Chips and a Pub Burger. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his burger. My adult son and I both noticed two of the three generously served pieces of fIsh were different in texture, sorta chewy or tough. So maybe those were not as fresh as the others? Overall it was good. We all agreed the fries were very tasty. I would have been happy with two pieces of fish and half the amount of fries for a lower price. The long wait came when we ordered dessert. One piece of Carrot Cake to share. Felt like it took 15 minutes? It was when our bill was brought and we included a tip that our server really put service into play. I do understand that sadly many guests using a voucher may not tip. At any rate after seeing her tip she very kindly explained we had more value on the voucher, would we like to order something to go? So we got some bottled beverages in a nice handled bag and that was much appreciated to end our experience on a plus! read more

I really don't know how this hotel restaurant retains customers. You have to understand though, this is a restaurant within a DoubleTree - enough said. Even worse, this was a former Red Lion Inn that was converted to a DoubleTree. The typical demise of a Red Lion Inn is that Hilton comes in and takes the outdated behemoth dilapidated hotel property Red Lion Inn with a massive confusing network of various wings and mazes of musty old hotel rooms remodeled in the 1970s and slaps the name "DoubleTree" - wahlah, a "new" hotel. Anyway, back to the food. I ordered wings and the rib eye. The wings were actually delicious but incredibly overly spicy. Someone in the kitchen must be an expert at making wings but overly spiced them out of spite because, well, maybe he's not paid for his expertise in the quality of wings? I ordered a medium-rare rib eye steak. It came out well done. The server dropped off the steak and never once returned to check on my food. I ate it, but reluctantly. $48 for this? Ouch. Also, a beer costs $10.75 here. That's an incredibly overpriced beer for the restaurant being in a region with a massive amount of supply of microbreweries! read more

Look, it's a Restaurant inside a hotel. By definition I don't like it but I stay in this hotel frequently enough for work that I will usually stop in here for a beer and an overpriced burger when I'm too lazy to go out. Not really worth reviewing but I have to tell you, over the years I have been coming here, I think they really are stepping up their game. My most recent visit, I have to tell you the lady's and gentlemen working behind the bar really are trying to make it a pleasant experience and the food is really improving. Yes the burger is overpriced for a burger in my opinion but it's pretty good! I highly recommend the Dueling Meats off the dinner menu. Chicken and Pork Belly over some puréed squash and some Brussels Sprouts. Really, really good. The Bowl of Chowder and Caesar was probably your best bang for the buck and while not amazing chowder, it was passable. No, I won't go out of my way to come here but I will be back frequently for work in the future and now I won't feel so bad about a meal or two here. I will certainly try and update the review after my next visit and see if these guys are still on an upward trajectory. read more

I ordered the halibut fish and chips for $22. I asked if the fish was fresh and the waiter said it was frozen. He then said they could substitute fresh halibut for $44. I told him no and at this time was very hungry and craving fish and chips. It looked great and I was excited about my meal however I quickly discovered the fries were over cooked and not edible. The coleslaw had zero flavor and I tried to add salt and pepper but the shaker on my table was empty. The fish itself was good, minus the fried part because it was also over cooked. I could not even cut through it so I left the breading and ate the fish. The waiter was nice and personable. He did try and help find an alternative for the lack of fresh halibut (but was told it would be the higher charge). Although he was nice I've not seen him now for at least eleven min and I have been ready to leave. Overall I don't think I will be eating here again unless I were to eat something completely different. The only reason I'm giving this two stars is because the wine was good and the waiter was nice. read more

Service was a little lacking considering the price and drinks were rather expensive but I assume most people staying in the doubletree and eating here are on a expense account like me so the price doesn't matter as much. I got some dill aioli to dip the fries in which was pretty good. They had a bakery roll for $1 on the menu which caught my interest when looking at the menu online so I ordered it, it came with two rolls and basil butter. I personally wasn't a fan of the basil butter and the bread came out ice cold, I was expecting a high quality, hot roll for some reason so that was disappointing. I didn't even bother eating them but no big deal for $1 :) If you're staying at the hotel it's worth checking out but nothing wowed me here. read more

Our waitress had a sour attitude and treated us like second class citizens. Simple put, she isn't a nice person. We ordered the curry and asked what kind of fish was offered and that was the start of it. So don't ask about your food. We also asked her opinion on the red wine, which turns out was very good, but I only ordered the 6 oz and that just wasn't cool with her. She smirked at me while jilting her head to the side and making a clicking sound with her mouth when I said I was going to split my dinner with my husband (which ended very yummy....curry fish and shrimp) When I asked about a side salad to add to the meal she made it sound like it was too small and I needed to order the full salads offered. Again, I'm just so cheap. We ordered two cheeseburgers and fries for the kids which were also very much enjoyed. The night was saved by the bartender bringing Shirley temples and balloons for our kids. It was almost as if he felt sorry for us having her as our waitress. The kids kept the balloons with us through our Seattle vacation...which finished nicely at the Fairmont Olympic in downtown Seattle. ;) read more

The food and the service were very very good--so much better than your typical airport fare. I had the Dungeness crab macaroni and cheese, followed by a white chocolate mousse cake.
