I went to Fuel & Flame instead bc If they don't know something they say so, or find out, and they do not attempt to blow smoke up (you know where) or sell me crap I don't want. 3 stars because they did have the damper I needed, and the store is neat, well lit, and stocked to the ceiling with pellet stuff (if that's your bag, man.) Knowledgeable, friendly staff will listen to you, ask questions, and then make a recommendation. Pellets aren't for everyone. Coal has pros and cons, and so does wood. They will help you figure it out. Or, if you know what you want, they'll help you get it and wont tell you lies about atmospheric pressure in RI making a certain solid fuel "impossible" to burn (ahem, Frederickson Stove Shop.) I purchased my coal stove elsewhere (a chubby coal stove-hand made in Pembroke MA) but I buy my coal from Fuel & Flame. Excellent prices, and a few times when I almost ran out, they stayed open a few extra minutes so I could get there to get a few bags so my family wouldn't freeze. Now that's service! If you are looking for a stove or insert to heat your home full time, part time, or for emergencies, don't go anywhere else. Check out fuel & flame. Worth it.

I didn't know there was sample sizes before but I got a couple to try. This place is good to check out if you like grilling or Dizzy Pig seasoning. At first we were thrilled! The saleswoman found us a Bosch at a bargain price! We brought it home and had the installer come to deliver it and it didn't fit! Weren't all 30" stovetops the same?? Who knew! Well, apparently not the Wickford Appliance expert who never asked us for the dimensions on our cooktop! So, now we still don't have a stove, and we're out the installation fee on top of it! Back to the drawing board. We'd told the saleswoman when we first sat down that we needed a new stove before Memorial Day. It was three weeks. Shouldn't have been an issue. But now it was. She couldn't find a cooktop that would fit our opening and the gas nipple beneath it. We had to research it ourselves. Ugh. Just what we wanted to avoid! We went to her manager and asked if they'd bring the Frigidaire that was found in to the store to check all the dimensions. We were told they wouldn't do that in case they got stuck with it. So much for customer service. I guess we were the only one to be put out (paying two installation fees). I'm not sure that this special shop was, in fact, a better alternative to Home Depot. Maybe we should have started there after all. Oh and the installer that Wickford recommended? Stone appliance? I won't mention the rudeness of the first installer. But the second installation was scheduled for Thursday after 2pm. On Wednesday we were contacted to say the installer would likely arrive earlier than expected. Well, there was a wasted day. By 4 pm we were nervous that he wasn't going to show up. We finally received a response to our two voice mails that he'd be there in "20 minutes." Different time piece apparently than ours. The cook top came out of the box cracked. I'm not blaming that on them but that it took two months to get the replacement? That's all on the manager of the store who was "handling it" and didn't remember us from one interaction to the next. What an entire screw up from the very start to finish! Home Depot would have been so much better!!! Proceed at your own risk.

Service was great, we got all the info we needed and picked one out. It was in stock in their warehouse so we got to pick our delivery date the following week. Delivery guys were friendly and it was super easy. We were the first stop of the day so they showed up at 7:30 which worked out great for us. Overall an easy and friendly experience.
