I needed to get some…read moreprescription lenses put into some frames that I already had and they were able to see me immediately and took care of everything I needed, even helped with getting all my insurance information. They were patient with me while I was trying to do all of that. Unfortunately, when I came to pick up my finished glasses, they didn't work out too well and they shared with me that I have a 30 day return policy if my optometrist change my prescription. It was the prescription that was the problem, not Visionworks. They change my lenses with no questions with the new prescription. Turnaround time was pretty quick. I waited about 2 weeks each time before I got my glasses. They can't do anything for you if a doctor is not on the premises. They are closed for any work on Thursdays because of this. The only thing you could do on a Thursday is maybe pick up a finished product.

When they examined the last pair they found they were made wrong. I took them back to New Vision and asked for a refund bringing proof they were made wrong. He refused. He stated the former glasses I had issues with were only because I didn't like the frames. That's not true. I couldn't see properly out of any of them. I'd also asked to get new lenses in an older frame . He also refused. The person they use to examine your eyes isn't as good as can be had. Dr. Hemmings is a much better eye doctor and can even do cataract surgery. I wasted many months with this place and had to use readers to be able to see. I strongly advise to stay away from this place. You will be much better served to see Dr. Hemmings.

Let me get straight to it. I chose this place because they were in-network with my insurance and…read morethey are in my neighborhood. I called the number and scheduled an eye exam. I walked in and began to look around while I waited to be greeted. By the time I was greeted I had eyeballed all the frames in the women's section and saw NOTHING that I liked. I was finally directed to have a seat in the back to wait for the eye exam technician. The technician that performed my eye exam was cool. I can't remember her name but she was professional, nice & talkative. After my eye test, the technician dropped me off in a room, adjusted the eye device ( I don't know the technical name for it) & told me she would be back. A doctor appeared on a screen in front of me and did a virtual eye test. I don't know. It felt weird and impersonal. As soon as it was finished the technician came back to get me. I honestly felt like I was at a used car dealership at this point. They baited me with the BOGO special. BOGO to me means BUY ONE GET ONE FREE. Their promo was BOGO 60% off. Bottom line is that I paid close to $400 for 2 frames and an eye exam. They weren't even designer frames or trendy. I have style and EyeLab did not fit my style. To top everything off, I ended up going to Walmart, which I should have done in the 1st place. I received much better service and had a larger, more my style selection of frames. Joesph (EyeLab Manager, I think) was pissed when I called to cancel my order. He told me I couldn't cancel my order because it was already in process. LOL!!!! He also tried to get me to keep at least one pair but I declined. He was not one bit concerned that my eye needs were met elsewhere but more concerned with the loss of money at his store. Lucretia was a HUGE help. She tried to work with me on a payment plan for the frames and even added input while I tried desperately to find frames. It's a no for me on EyeLab. Go up the street Walmart. Better service, selection and price!

They also forced me to wear a restrictive face covering in place of my special face mask I purchased for patients with asthma. Now, I cannot see correctly or breathe. 3/14/21Update: I spoke with them today, and I'm feel more confident in resolution and understanding. Mary was very helpful with helping me address my concerns and need to understand my eye changes, and what was their driving force. I'm still hoping to be able to be further evaluated by an additional specialist. I do have a rare issue.

I asked if she could check other Lens Crafters and was told she did and that no one had them. My wife asked if she could be put on a call list so that when some came in she could be notified. She took my wife's information and sent us on our way. We left the Pavilion and went straight to Cumberland Mall to go to the Apple Store. We also went into the Lens Crafters there and they had the Metas my wife was looking for....the same ones that the Pavillion said were out of stock and that no one had them. If you've ever seen Talladega Nights, remember the "Now you see me, now you don't -- I'm the Magic Man" scene? Yeah. Dr. Berry is the Magic Man. I am 72 years old and a lifelong Georgia resident--moved to be near grandchildren in Carroll County. I wear bifocals and needed a yearly checkup. Too far to go back to my eye doctor in Savannah. So Tanner Emergency Room recommended this place to me. (I had gotten a scratched cornea while working in woods with blackberry vines.)--It was a group of multiple eye doctors. I actually saw this doctor at the Carrollton office not the Dallas HWY Office. You walk in and there are multiple clerks out front (3-4)--all behind frosted windows. You have to talk over them while they are all talking to each other. I was told that I had to pay that day if I wanted prescription for glasses. I've always had good insurance and have NEVER been asked to pay up front before for simple refraction testing! THEN you go back to a waiting room where there were easily 2-3 dozen patients all sitting packed in on straight back chairs. I was there 30 minutes early (as instructed) and still waited an hour after appointment time--so 90 minutes in an uncomfortable chair--never told what the hold up was. Then a girl in scrubs comes out and yells your name. Go back in one room, she does one test with eyes. Then whisked off to another waiting area after they put drops in your eyes to dilate pupil and anesthetize your eyes--(I wish they would tell you as I had to drive 40 miles by myself on a very sunny hot day--and really hard to see after the drops.) You wait a long time for drops to work while a mother let her kids run around and yell. Ended up seeing 4 or 5 different techs who do different tests and I was never told what was being done---just taken from one room to next...and I NEVER saw one person wash their hands. I'm an old operating room nurse and this bothered me a LOT because infections of the eye can leave you blind. No one wears name tags..nurses? techs? doctors? FINALLY after a few hours the doctor comes in and never said who he was. I finally said "Are you Dr. Berry?" He never introduced himself--just one more stop. Told me to get signed up to have cataracts removed. He was in room for about 60 seconds. This was a complete surprise about needing surgery. I had told him that glare from car headlights bothered me at night..so I didn't drive....but my vision was OK as I can read my bible fine and passed my driving test...and my last eye doctor in Savannah never mentioned a problem! But I got hustled through an RN upstairs who ran through a quick review, gave me a prescription for eye drops for after surgery then back to front to set up surgery. I have been VERY nearsighted since I started school at age 6, so the idea of eye surgery was scary. Everyone just kept saying "No big deal." (BTW, the eye drops were over $135 for each tiny bottle! I'm a widow without much money.) I was so upset at seeing so many different people and only seeing the eye doctor for such a short time!--then told I had astigmatism (FIRST time ever told this, so the "toric? lens would cost an extra $2,000 each!) I was REALLY upset. Canceled surgery, drops...and went back to Savannah doctor who told me I didn't need cataract surgery and no, I didn't have astigmatism. I will NEVER go back to this doctor or to this group of eye doctors again.
