However, my experience with the staff, particularly Collette, was disappointing. After my exam, I worked with Collette to try on frames for my low prescription. I found a pair I liked but decided to hold off until I felt better and could return with a second opinion. Collette made a subtle remark under her breath about hoping the frames would still be there, which struck me as unnecessary. Two days later, she called to ask if I was coming back for the frames. When I explained that I was still deciding and had requested a copy of my prescription, her tone noticeably shifted. She sounded curt and dismissive, and told me getting my prescription wasn't her department, even though the front desk is only steps away. When I later called back for an update, she answered again and was just as dismissive. I didn't feel confident my request would be followed through, and asked to speak with someone else. Her response made it clear that helping me was a burden. Ultimately, I had to make a third contact and visit the office in person to get my prescription. Even then, it wasn't signed by the doctor, and no one, including Collette, acknowledged the confusion or offered an apology. I've worked in customer service and wouldn't speak to any customer the way I was spoken to. I expected more from an office with such strong reviews and designer branding. Unfortunately, due to the unprofessional behavior I experienced, I won't be returning.

I ended up returning three pairs of prescription glasses and, after having a second exam from an ophthalmologist, was told WP made my prescription nearly twice the level I needed. What more could you ask for? It has been relatively easy to setup an appointment that was convenient to me versus setting one up 2 months in the vague future. Dr. Wilkemeyer is friendly and helpful. The office has a new machine that takes a picture of your retina. I find these are great conversation starters for my dates. "Would you like to see my retinas?" Their frame selection is pretty expansive and Colleen is super helpful in giving you style advice. My contact orders have always come back quickly.
