Such a pleasant experience at this casual roadside place. The lady working the window was so kind, explained everything, and was accommodating with customization on my husband's sandwich. I got the lobster dinner and it was fantastic! We ate outside, which was especially good for a messy meal, haha. (They even have an outside sink for this purpose!) I enjoyed the cornbread, and would definitely recommend the blueberry lemonade. Prices are very reasonable. If you want to escape the crowds of Bar Harbor, come here for dinner. read more

I left incredibly disappointed and regretful. I paid 85$ for 2 crab melts, lemonade, and tip and I could barely finished my first bite. We ended up scraping off the crab we paid for to make a different meal at home. The staff on other hand, are incredibly friendly! read more

It's a food truck that has outdoor seating. Person at the register was kind and cheerful. I'm sad to say that the lobster roll was skippy ( not too loaded with meat) it sat on a bed of lettuce, which I thought was weird but I guess some places do it that way. The bread was soft and fresh. They give you the butter on the side which I liked. The lemonades were strong, I had to add water. Was it the best, no. Descent, yes. My partner had a cheese burger with a bag of chips that was kinda small but tasted good. Overall expensive for what we got- I think the drinks were $7, lobster roll was $27 and I believe the burger was $16. I think the total was around $60. read more

My husband and I came by twice for dinners during our stay in Maine recently because the food was that good! Even more, this place is an incredible value: $21 for a lobster dinner that includes a whole lobster, whole ear of corn on the cob, cornbread, and coleslaw. For takeout orders, they include a moist towelette and handy wooden lobster pick. Their French fries are tasty and seasoned just right with good sea salt. If dining on the premises, the place is very spacious and has a nice, clean outdoor dining area that's near the mini golf. We drove to Bar Harbor, intending to eat some lunch there. It was insanely crowded that day, so we left. En route to our Airbnb and starving, we saw Rodick's roadside restaurant, and decided to stop. And we're glad we did! My husband ordered the fish tacos, and I got the grilled chicken sandwich. The tacos were perfect: tender, crispy fish, with a homemade slaw. The chicken sandwich was grilled perfectly. It had a light, smoky flavor and it was moist--unlike many dry food-service chicken sandwiches that have disappointed me in the past. To accompany our lunches, we shared a Maine blueberry lemonade that was delightfully tart, with a smattering of wild blueberries. What made our stop even better was the service at the window. John--the man who took our order--was friendly and welcoming. And it wasn't performative; he is genuinely a nice man. Awesome food! We have eaten here many times during our 3 week stay. We've compared with lots of other restaurants in the area and their food has been the freshest and great tasting. The Lobster Roll is very good (one of the Best), the haddock sandwich is delicious, the Crab Roll is mouth watering good and the Blueberry pie à la mode is fabulous delight to your taste buds. Worst soft serve ice cream ever! First it was $6 for a small ice cream. They could not do a twist. They did not even have chocolate. I ordered two smalls and was charged $6 and handed one ice cream. When I asked for the second one I was told it would be another $6. I should have stopped there. But I ordered the second one. The "fudge" flavored tasted horrible and when I got to the bottom it was full of what I think was the raw mix which tasted horrific. I threw it away because I am pretty sure you should not eat that stuff raw. This was after having to stand in line behind a woman who was monopolizing the order area along with her husband who was monopolizing the food order window. Terrible experience and terrible ice cream. I won't go there again. If I had known Town Hill market was still open I would have stopped there or just driven to DQ where you can get a consistent product more reasonably priced. read more

Pulled in on a whim on our way between hikes. Had a fantastic lunch of fried clam sandwich that was so much better than one we had earlier in the week at a sit down restaurant. We stopped here for lunch during out stay in Maine and we loved it! Friendly staff and customer service. You order at the window then pick your table wait for them to call your order number. They have tables in front or cause go up the stairs for more tables (much quieter up there) as they are located off a busy road. We highly recommend the blueberry ice cream, blueberry lemonade!! We got the fish and chips and lobster dinner. Both were great portions and flavorful. Make sure to take your picture with their cutout fisherman. Nice open seating under umbrellas. They have take out as well but if you don't have a schedule recommend just eating there enjoying the trees and the water sound from the mini golf by it. I drive by this place every day on my way home from work. Coworkers told me not to waste my money trying this place but I was feeling adventurous today. Paid $15 for a very small meal. (Chicken strips, very small bag of chips, soda and $1 tip). The fact that it didn't even come with fries or more food for that price was pretty insane. My coworkers seemed right. But oh well. The worst part was it ended up not even being edible lol. Got 4 small pieces of cold chicken strips that were clammy on the outside and chilled on the inside. It didn't look like they even attempted to cook these! Maybe threw them in a microwave for a minute and served them still insanely cold. What in the world? Avoid this place at all costs. At the time of this review there was only one previous review here which made this stop a bit of a gamble. Our family of four stopped here and were pleasantly surprised. I had the fish tacos, and of all the meals that I've had over the week this is one that I'll be back for. Great light texture with the haddock (most places have been dry).
