    Lobster dinner
    Jane M.

My husband and I came by twice for dinners during our stay in Maine recently because the food was that good! Even more, this place is an incredible value: $21 for a lobster dinner that includes a whole lobster, whole ear of corn on the cob, cornbread, and coleslaw. For takeout orders, they include a moist towelette and handy wooden lobster pick. Their French fries are tasty and seasoned just right with good sea salt. If dining on the premises, the place is very spacious and has a nice, clean outdoor dining area that's near the mini golf. The employees are very nice and gave my dog a doggy biscuit for her to enjoy while she waited!

Best thing I've ever eaten. Hands down. Had to order a second blueberry lemonade because I drank the first one so fast (it was also really really good). Gentleman working was also very kind! It's a walk up to order and seating outside, casual and perfect spot for lunch while exploring

We stopped here for lunch during out stay in Maine and we loved it! Friendly staff and customer service. You order at the window then pick your table wait for them to call your order number. They have tables in front or cause go up the stairs for more tables (much quieter up there) as they are located off a busy road. We highly recommend the blueberry ice cream, blueberry lemonade!! We got the fish and chips and lobster dinner. Both were great portions and flavorful. Make sure to take your picture with their cutout fisherman. Nice open seating under umbrellas. They have take out as well but if you don't have a schedule recommend just eating there enjoying the trees and the water sound from the mini golf by it. They also have very reasonable prices.

    Well worth the price!!

Very peaceful place to stop and enjoy the taste of Maine! Service and food was amazing!

I had lobster tacos, and I'm sure there was a whole lobster in just two. They were rich and two was the perfect amount. My husband had the lobster mac and cheese which also had an absolute ton of lobster meat. The drinks were delicious - I had a blueberry martini and hubby let the bartender surprise him. On our way out we saw their wall of remembrance which included pictures of lobstermen who had passed, including those lost at sea. Made us remember the work that goes into that delicious dinner from the catch to the chef. They have a lovely shop with nautical and Maine-inspired gifts which was lovely. Wonderful experience from start to finish - would highly recommend!!

I loved their Acadian Lobster roll as it is Cajun style with no mayo so the roll is crispier and not as soggy. The steam clams and oysters are fresh too! Clam chowder was good as well! Our server called Kattie is awesome and very friendly and attentive! We went there again the next day. However, we ordered a side of jasmine rice and it was completely raw so that's how a point got deducted. If I had a chance to visit the Acadia NP again, I would go again to have the Acadian lobster roll

I saw this place when we first got to Maine and never forgot about it because I am a giant soft serve fan and they boast 24 different flavors of soft serve!!!! This was our 4th and last stop on our Maine Ice Cream Trek and it did not disappoint. After very long and drawn out deliberation, I decided to try the English Toffee flavor and my wife got the Dragon's Blood soft serve flavor. Both were so good but that Dragon's Blood was out of this world!! I had never had the flavor before and it blew my mind. We also got fries to make sure we made it home to eat and they were the best fries we had in Maine for our entire trip and my wife LOVES fries so that's a very nice compliment. We almost ordered a second serving. There is plenty of covered seating outside but no inside seating so it gave a well catered picnic vibe. I will say it was hard for us to find because the map didn't realize where it was. We had to drive around a bit to find it but it's next to the gas station/convenience store that Maps takes you to. I would absolutely go out of my way to go to Seaside Dairy Bar the next time we're in Maine. It's well worth it!

Desert Island's Somes Sound--alone, but the service and food were fantastic, too. We stopped in for a late lunch / early dinner during our Acadia vacation based on a recommendation from a co-worker and we are very glad we did. I had the fish sandwich with fries and a specialty cocktail made with bourbon, ginger beer and honey (I forget the name). The fish sandwich came for way more than enough perfectly cooked haddock and a crunchy and delicious beer-batter crust. The fries we excellent, too (they can so easily be bland and boring, but these were not!) The cocktail was ice-cold (perfect for this hot summer day) and delicious, if a little sweet. My partner had the Mediterranean Plate which came with Grilled Flat Bread, Hummus, Tzatziki, Marinated Cucumber Salad, Marinated Olives, and Feta. She loved all 'the subtle and distinct flavors that went together so well!' Note that Batson River Fish Camp has two locations and is part of Batson River Brewing and Distilling.
