Others say prices are high, but you're paying for the view as much as the food! Highly recommend this spot for lunch if driving in the schoodic area. Great seafood joint. I tried the crab legs special and the meat was really good and didn't even need much else with it. However, I am not a seafood de-shelling expert so it took forever cracking away to get all the good meat out as I didn't want to waste any. Fun experience overall and the atmosphere was excellent. The weather was hot but luckily they do have umbrellas on the wharf. The others enjoyed their meals as well and we shared some blueberry pie and ice cream for a dessert. read more

This is a casual outdoor place. Most people will get the seafood but I got the grilled cheese with bacon. It was basic but good. The French fries were really good. You go to the counter and order then they bring you the food. Everyone was nice. read more

We went here for our last dinner at the end of our camping trip. The staff was friendly and the setting adorable. However, we were disappointed with our meals. We ordered the clam chowder to start and it was mostly potatoes. You had to actually search for clam pieces with your spoon. While it was tasty there was limited seafood in it. We also ordered the lobster tacos at $23. We were excited to see them on the menu. When served there were 4 small taco shells and each taco had roughly a tablespoon of small lobster pieces. There was very little salsa and a tiny dollop of guacamole. We also ordered the lobster BLT which was $25. Again the amount of lobster meat was minimal and extremely disappointing. Even the amount of bacon was slim. For us it's not about the cost, but about the quality, especially when we come to Maine for lobster. We have a local food truck where we live in MA and the lobster BLT is twice the size further same price. The Lobster Cooperative in Winter Harbor sells a 1.25lb lobster for $8 so there's no reason each dish could've included knuckles and claws at the very least. Honestly, the pieces were ground up almost like crab meat. There could clearly be more generous with portions. While we will return to Winter Harbor, we will go to other restaurants for our Maine lobster fix. So disappointing. The only positive was that we left hungry and ended up stopping at Me & Ben's for their homemade ice cream. Delish!!! read more

Every summer--as a local explained--Lunch on the Wharf opens (often led by a group of teachers on break) for midday meals. Hosted on a dock in Corea Harbor, the pop-up restaurant serves a variety of seafood focused meals. Unlike other establishments in the area, Lunch on the Wharf has a extremely clear and focused website (maybe because it's operated by educators?); everything you need to know is available for preview online. On a sunny summer day, the umbrella covered, picnic bench seating is spot on and the view of the lobster boats, traps, and skyline is immediately soothing. Our family ordered a variety of Lunch on the Wharf offerings: veggie burger, lobster grilled cheese, peanut butter and jelly, oysters, clam chowder, and a lobster meal. Everything was delicious (see photos)! By comparison to Bar Harbor menus, this is the cheapest lobster bake/meal I've found in the lower Schoodic Peninsula ($27). I will admit I was a bit nervous when the perfectly shucked oysters on the half shell arrived as they were not cold or on ice. I had to remind myself where I was and how absolutely fresh these were (from a local oyster farm). My only disappointment was the clam chowder. The flavor and consistency were perfect, but I had to seriously sift through to find any clam bits. If you're in the area, I highly recommend Lunch on the Wharf! This place is all about the views! It's a beautiful cove filled with lobster boats, birds working the water and summer breezes. Husband had the crab claws, a giant portion for $15. I had the lobster quesadillas which were good but if I were to order again I'd get with no veggies inside as they take away from the flavor of lobsters. But that's simply my preference, everything was very tasty. Help was quite nice too. read more

Wonderful lunch experience. Very relaxing and nice venue right by the water. Lobster rolls were superb, as you would expect in Maine. The oysters we had however were not great (perhaps it was not a good day for them). Friendly staff. Very delish blue berry pie also! Small restaurant with covered outdoor seating right on Corea harbor. Parking area is tight and limited. We did see people parking in the street in town. They have clean (and not stinky) port a potties with a hand washing station. They are open Mon-Sat 11-3. Get there early to get a seat and before they run out of food. They were busy around 1:30 on a Monday. You order at the counter, and they deliver the food to you. They were out of crab rolls - bummer! We ended up ordering lobster dinners, lobster roll, clam chowder, haddock chowder, BLT, and Chicken and cheese sandwich. The lobster dinners took about 25 minutes but they forewarned us. The dinners come with instructions on how to eat the lobster which is a nice touch. The lobster was tasty although it was pretty watery so it was ultra messy. Our sides were potato salad and Bush's baked beans so no surprises there. The lobster roll was very good with plenty of chunks of lobster. The clam chowder and haddock chowder had good flavor but were mostly potatoes with small pieces of seafood. The BLT was good but would have been better with a little more bacon. It's served on a toasted Texas toast style bread. The Chicken and cheese sandwich tasted like, well, chicken and cheese on a thick roll. On a side note, they do not serve liquor but you can bring your own. We'll be back and hopefully for the crab roll! read more

A destination place for lunch. Fresh lobster served right on the wharf. Sure this place caters to tourists and has tourist prices and the views are spectacular. The lobster is fresh but no quite as fresh as some roadside markets. A great place for a fancy lunch. Family friendly eating at picnic tables. Port a potty type restrooms on site. There is a very short walk on gravel from parking to the wharf which might be difficult to maneuver in a wheel chair. A good value for a tourist establishment. Their hours change frequently and they usually close mid afternoon so check before making the drive. read more

I love Lunch on the Wharf! We have eaten here at least 4 times. The people who run this truck/restaurant are very friendly. The menu is much broader than a lobster pound. I don't eat lobster, and I always feel that I have lots of options between chicken, grilled cheese, veggie burgers, etc. my husband has been happy with both the lobster meal and the lobster roll.
