Lobster roll and north shore garlic shrimp
    Kris A.

Wowowow yummy seafood worth the walk up Avenida Del Mar! The foods that we ordered tasted fresh, and they offer so many choices of seafood on their menu. Customers fall in line to order at the cashier, where they then take a number and have a seat. The only thing is it's very hot at the inside seating area which is limited, and the outdoor patio has a slight breeze but beware of going to dine during the heatwave!

Seasurf is a chill spot for solid seafood in a beach city, offering seafood tacos, fish plates, and poke. Cioppino: The massive bowl contains a generous variety of seafood treasures. You'll be amazed by the quantity and quality of the butterflied shrimp, cherry stone clams, and little bay scallops. The near dozen mussels are sweet and plump. The squid is springy and tender. In addition, they have a bouncy fettuccine egg pasta that soaks up all the flavor of the broth and a crispy, pillowy garlic butter toast. North Shore Garlic Shrimp: It's been a while since I've had the real deal at the source, but this stacks up. They give you seven massive butterflied shrimp. The shell is extra crispy, thin, and smothered in a sticky garlic butter sauce. The flavors and textures are so good that I ended up eating the shrimp, shell and all. The sauce with black and white sesame seeds is so good with the firm sticky rice. The mac salad is also on point. What pushes this plate over the edge is the addition of two pickles, cucumbers and pink onions, for an acidic bite to counter all the delicious richness. Parking: There's a big lot connected to the restaurant, but it only has about a dozen spots. However, there's a lot of street parking in the neighborhood.

The vibe is here, a great little seaside community spot with casual outdoor dining. Of course the seafood is why you come and it's a solid offering at a midrange price. The poke bowl was the star. Great fresh fish with good flavor. Would recommend. The lobster roll had a huge piece of claw meat, but honestly it was a little tough. I might have had bad luck, cause you know how fresh lobster can vary a little. I'd try it again. It was good, but I hoped it would be better. The tacos were meh, but again its a fish place. We were happy with the overall experience and balance of price, quality and vibes

This happy hour is incredible for some many reasons. #1 the speed of service is amazing #2 the seafood is incredibly fresh and high quality #3 the prices were the best part We sat on the patio and was absolutely the spot to be. They have TVs to watch games and enjoy the fresh air. The poke nachos, oysters and ceviche were the highlights. The fish tacos were great size but there was no crunch on the fish, I really wish it was crunchy or made to order and it would be a perfect meal. I'll absolutely be back every time I'm even around San Clemente

The food is delicious and service wonderful! Definitely worth trying. Discovered it on a whim and so glad we stopped because it was so good. We decided to later try the Laguna Niguel location today and it doesn't measure up to San clemente for customer service.

    Fish and Chips!

Awesome seafood spot near the beach! Fish and Chips again, who would have thought? Light and crispy, but this place uses the same batter on their fries, what a gamechanger! More surface area = more crunchy fish/fries! The line was super long, usually a good sign. Nice beach vibes, I'll definitely be back!

Yum to Seasurf Fish Came here w/a friend for lunch. She had been here before & liked it. I also enjoyed my meal Order at the counter & wait in line if you are not sitting at the small counter inside. Large outside space for dining. Chill Coastal vibes. Quick service. Large selection of beverages...wine,beer & several sodas. Had the salmon /rice bowl

Busy spot during lunch but the wait wasn't too long. You order first at the counter and you're given a number and seat yourself. We opted to sit outside as it was nice out. The portion sizes are large. Food was flavored well. For the poke bowl, the rice to protein ratio was off as had too much rice. Plus only a few pieces of uni. I like that they have non alcoholic beer available

First time coming here the other day for lunch! Very good very fresh! We had the oysters very fresh. Service was fast and helpful on what to order. Definitely will be back to try more items until next time!

It was our first time at Seasurf fish this past Wednesday and i already can't wait to return. It is a small seafood restaurant that has plenty of outdoor seating and also bar seating. Although it was pretty packed when we went service was pretty quick and they even bring the food out to your table. We ordered the poke nachos, fish and chips, and clam chowder. Everything was really good but our favorite was the poke nachos. They give a big portion and the tuna was fresh. I cannot wait to go back and try their happy hour. Lots of affordable dishes and fresh food i definitely recommend.

Service was great- you pay at the counter then find a seat but it does get busy during happy hour weekdays (3-5). We got there a little early so we got a few drinks while waiting as well as an uni pasta that didn't have much flavor unfortunately. What did taste good were the appetizers for happy hour, $1.50 oysters, Hawaiian poke bowl, chowder fries & crispy calamari. There's parking on the side for just their business so you don't have to pay but it does fill up pretty quickly. Overall good for happy hour but the oysters we got for $1.50 would not be worth it during regular hours for the size that they are.

The tiniest lobster tail with no flavor served with a pound of flavorless rice. Oysters were shriveled up and dry as well. This place used to be good.

The Boulder and I rolled in on a suspiciously perfect Monday afternoon--clear skies, good vibes, and my dog in tow (a true critic.. of me). My tall Sequoia of a date did the classic awkward shuffle at the front like, "hi, can the dog come through to the patio without causing a federal incident?" The guy we asked looked like we had just asked him to solve climate change (bc he was a customer...), but he very politely redirected us to the cashier, who was lovely. So: Kindness: 10/10. Confusion: also 10/10. ~Balance~ Now the food. The Boulder orders a fish burrito. I go for the chimichurri salmon bowl with quinoa because I, too, enjoy pretending I have my life together. BUT. The boulder also then orders clam chowder--a surprise, a moment of elation, but at the same time... skeptical? Sir? I have lamented over my favorite chowder like a woman waiting for her husband to come back from battle. Were your ears too high in elevation for my voice to reach? ANYWAYS. Let's talk about the clam chowder, because this is where things get serious. I have grown up eating clam chowder in Santa Cruz (my hometown, my birthplace, my origins). I have known greatness (shoutout to Stagnaro Bros., the downstairs fish market). So when I tell you I approached this chowder with standards, I need you to understand the weight of that statement. I put my spoon in. It did not sink. At that moment, I knew. This was not soup. This was a lifestyle. A structural entity. And it was GOOD. Creamy, thick, unapologetically clam-forward. Not quite Santa Cruz enlightenment, clouds-parting-angels-singing, but honestly? Strong contender. We're talking solid top 4-5 chowders of my life, and I do not say that lightly. Now, my salmon bowl? Good. Respectable. Salmon = crispy, quinoa = doing quinoa things (why is it always slightly annoying to eat??). Chimichurri good. The fish burrito (from my observational research + dog validation panel): packed, flaky, generous. My dog approved, which frankly is the highest honor available. Overall: Great food, great vibes, excellent chowder, and quality time with the Tall Sequoia Boulder Man™ on a random Monday. Plus points--chips looked fried on site :D

Our server was friendly and checked on us regularly but 2 of the 4 waters brought to the table had old food left on the glasses. A Pepsi we ordered was also flat, they quickly fixed the issue with the machine and brought new waters. The food was some of the worst we've all had. Both my father and I's burgers were overcooked and dry served with old potato wedges. My mother's fish was cooked decently but had no flavor, also served with lukewarm old tasting potato wedges. My wifes penne pasta primavera was more of a soup than a pasta dish and was also lacking flavor. One other positive was my father said the clam chowder was the best he's ever had, so that's truly the only thing I could recommend. All in all I know this is not a gourmet restaurant but for the menu prices and cost of the meal, we all expected a lot better.

It also had cheese crated over the top as well. Lastly we got the Executive platter which is a collection of steak that the chef chooses. Our platter had filet mignon, 40 day dry aged New York Strip, and a 35 day dry aged Ribeye. All three were fantastic. We could not stop gushing over the ribeye and how well it was prepared and tasted. The steaks were all seasoned to perfection and did not require anything added to them . They also serve them with 3 sauces, but they are not needed at all. They also brought us small dessert for our birthday which was scoops of ice cream, but we were so full that we could not eat all of them. This place is worth the price and the staff and management were great. Special thanks to Daren. But special thanks to the tall slender gentleman who helped us. We can't remember his name but he made the night so enjoyable. We will be back as we have a few more birthdays to celebrate this year.

Food: 3 because the sides and dessert were really good…read more However, if you're touted as a great steakhouse, the steak better be amazing. It was just ok. I've had far better for less. I wasn't impressed with the 35 day dry aged ribeye, it wasn't tender at all, tough and chewy and 3 of us ordered it. Disappointing because this place came highly recommended. My friends and I about once a year go to a good steak place. We were really looking forward to this place. 5 of us, $900 including tip. Service: We were seated at 5:30p, took about 30m for someone to come and bring us water, we were seated outside on a hot day, they must not believe in cold water with ice cuz we got neither. Another 30m went by and he finally took our order but just staters. Waiter was kinda pushy about the cold appetizers I finally had to say no, just these, then he left again. We were ready to order but he left and we didn't see him for another 30ish. Finally took our dinner order. Took over 2 hrs to get our dinner only to be very disappointed. I read and was told the service was poor. Guess management doesn't care cuz people still show up. I won't be one.
