Seasurf is a chill spot for solid seafood in a beach city, offering seafood tacos, fish plates, and poke. Cioppino: The massive bowl contains a generous variety of seafood treasures. You'll be amazed by the quantity and quality of the butterflied shrimp, cherry stone clams, and little bay scallops. The near dozen mussels are sweet and plump. The squid is springy and tender. In addition, they have a bouncy fettuccine egg pasta that soaks up all the flavor of the broth and a crispy, pillowy garlic butter toast. North Shore Garlic Shrimp: It's been a while since I've had the real deal at the source, but this stacks up. They give you seven massive butterflied shrimp. The shell is extra crispy, thin, and smothered in a sticky garlic butter sauce. The flavors and textures are so good that I ended up eating the shrimp, shell and all. The sauce with black and white sesame seeds is so good with the firm sticky rice. The mac salad is also on point. What pushes this plate over the edge is the addition of two pickles, cucumbers and pink onions, for an acidic bite to counter all the delicious richness. Parking: There's a big lot connected to the restaurant, but it only has about a dozen spots. However, there's a lot of street parking in the neighborhood.

Awesome seafood spot near the beach! Fish and Chips again, who would have thought? Light and crispy, but this place uses the same batter on their fries, what a gamechanger! More surface area = more crunchy fish/fries! The line was super long, usually a good sign. Nice beach vibes, I'll definitely be back!

Causal with lots of outdoor seating. Fresh oysters with some you can get on happy hour special! The sea bass was amazing and fish and chips the best we've ever had! I tried one of each of the oysters and wow!!! Delicious! Favorite was the garlic shrimp!!! The shell was left on but wasn't bad to eat. That's where all the flavor was so it had to be done!

Busy spot during lunch but the wait wasn't too long. You order first at the counter and you're given a number and seat yourself. We opted to sit outside as it was nice out. The portion sizes are large. Food was flavored well. For the poke bowl, the rice to protein ratio was off as had too much rice. Plus only a few pieces of uni. I like that they have non alcoholic beer available

Loved the Fish Tacos! We stopped on our way to San Diego. I got the Classic Fish Tacos and my wife tried the grilled. Both were amazing with lots of flavor. The chips and salsa were also very good. The service was good and there is plenty of patio seating. Parking is another story. There is limited parking in the lot, so park where you can find it around the restaurant. Overall a great place to dine.

Oh man, did that ever hit the spot! I ordered the grilled fish tacos and they were some of the best I've ever had. The portions I thought were very generous. Service was friendly and prompt. If you get here around the lunch hour parking is next to impossible and once you do find it, be prepared to walk and to wait. It's a hotspot and worth the wait. I'm looking forward to returning. It's a nice place to stop and break up the drive on the way from LA to SD.

I came here on Memorial Day for the happy hour! I love the happy deals here ESPECIALLY the oysters! The oysters tasted really fresh and were sweet. I also really liked the ceviche as well. Definitely a great spot to grab a bite to eat. The workers were all super helpful and friendly! Inside it is a little smaller so if you have a big group at peak hour it might be hard to find a table.

The Boulder and I rolled in on a suspiciously perfect Monday afternoon--clear skies, good vibes, and my dog in tow (a true critic.. of me). My tall Sequoia of a date did the classic awkward shuffle at the front like, "hi, can the dog come through to the patio without causing a federal incident?" The guy we asked looked like we had just asked him to solve climate change (bc he was a customer...), but he very politely redirected us to the cashier, who was lovely. So: Kindness: 10/10. Confusion: also 10/10. ~Balance~ Now the food. The Boulder orders a fish burrito. I go for the chimichurri salmon bowl with quinoa because I, too, enjoy pretending I have my life together. BUT. The boulder also then orders clam chowder--a surprise, a moment of elation, but at the same time... skeptical? Sir? I have lamented over my favorite chowder like a woman waiting for her husband to come back from battle. Were your ears too high in elevation for my voice to reach? ANYWAYS. Let's talk about the clam chowder, because this is where things get serious. I have grown up eating clam chowder in Santa Cruz (my hometown, my birthplace, my origins). I have known greatness (shoutout to Stagnaro Bros., the downstairs fish market). So when I tell you I approached this chowder with standards, I need you to understand the weight of that statement. I put my spoon in. It did not sink. At that moment, I knew. This was not soup. This was a lifestyle. A structural entity. And it was GOOD. Creamy, thick, unapologetically clam-forward. Not quite Santa Cruz enlightenment, clouds-parting-angels-singing, but honestly? Strong contender. We're talking solid top 4-5 chowders of my life, and I do not say that lightly. Now, my salmon bowl? Good. Respectable. Salmon = crispy, quinoa = doing quinoa things (why is it always slightly annoying to eat??). Chimichurri good. The fish burrito (from my observational research + dog validation panel): packed, flaky, generous. My dog approved, which frankly is the highest honor available. Overall: Great food, great vibes, excellent chowder, and quality time with the Tall Sequoia Boulder Man™ on a random Monday. Plus points--chips looked fried on site :D

We LOVE Seasurf! It was our first time at this specific location and the amazing quality & flavor remained the same. We got there right when they opened and it was a little busy but our food still came out quick. It was our first time trying the lobster pomodoro pasta and it was so delicious & fresh. My absolute favorite is their north shore garlic shrimp plate, hands down 10/10 every time. Every single thing on this plate is packed with flavor, down to the pickled veggies and mac salad, it is a must have!

Loved the salmon rice greens combo so much I may never eat salmon anywhere else again. They bring your food to you either in the back or on the front street. Very casual. Seaside decore. There was a short line but the kind, warm staff moved it along.

It was my first time at this laid-back and casual seafood eatery. Luckily, it was HH. I placed my order at the front counter then sat down until the server brought my food. There was a good menu selection with decent prices. I appreciated that the staff were helpful and friendly. The service was pretty quick too. Found myself in San Clemente on a sunny Saturday afternoon with a buddy and was craving seafood. Locals raved about Seasurf fish so naturally we needed to check them out. There was a long line out the door at 12:15 pm which was a promising sign. I ordered a half dozen fresh Oysters along with the Hawaiian North Shore Garlic shrimp. The oysters were fresh and delicious. There was a hiccup with my shrimp order and it ended up taking 30 minutes for my food to come after I flagged this to the staff. This was unfortunate but they did offer me a complimentary soda after I requested this due to the inconvenience. The dish itself was very good. The shrimp was tender and flavorful and I did feel like I was back in Hawaii. Just a note, there is a sweetness to the dish that was unique as I was used to more of a garlic butter flavor base. It was still delicious. Overall this was a fun experience and glad I got to try Seasurf.

Food was marginally ok, poke bowl was over salted in my opinion and the calamari was in a puddle of oil on the plate. The biggest issue with this place is it is sized to be a small donut shop, but they decided to pretend it is large enough for a restaurant, but it is not. The seating inside is nearly non-existent and the seating outside is crammed in on a very overcrowded patio with sunshades that are blowing in the wind and falling down. The prices are in line with a full service restaurant, but it's get your own wooden chopsticks, plastic fork and water from a lukewarm dispenser. Just not a good value or experience in my opinion. Maybe others will like it more than me. read more

I had the chimichurri shrimp burrito - so much flavor! And so tasty!! My bf had the fish tacos - he liked them. The calamari was good but a little too chewy for me. We had to stand in line before ordering but once we ordered and sat down, our food came out so fast! It's a chill place so don't feel self conscious about not dressing up. Tshirt is fine! Came here today and had a wonderful experience eating fish tacos and oysters on the half shell! Two of my favorites....especially during happy hour bc they are half off! Clam chowder is amazing and so are the chili garlic wings! What prompted to come here to provide a review on the fried oysters - I really couldn't finish one bite it was really gross. Lol I say this with humour and no disrespect towards chef or owner but I spoke to several guests around me who ordered the same dish and nobody was able to finish there plates...it was bad and I just have to share that. but hey to each there own! Some ppl must love them! Overall the location is nice with a beautiful small view of the ocean and a view of the street. It's very casual and laid back. Small bar and patio but it's truly a sweet lil spot in San Clemente and I always look forward to having a glass of wine with some of the best oysters on the half shell I've ever had! read more

1. Tuna Roll- had two tiny pieces of tuna and it was all rice. Super dry. 2. Garlic shrimp which was served with a humungous amount out white rice. It was not flavorful at all- lacked flavor. 3. Sea Bass- was suspect to say the least. We ordered with the cajun spices- fish was paper thin, rubbery and didn't look or taste remotely close to sea bass. It was awful! 4. Service was weak. Overall we feel it was terrible food yet it was crowded. Won't return ever! read more

Unfortunately, the quality has gone way downhill and my husband and I ended up very sick after eating their fish tacos last week. Service was nice and we have always enjoyed coming here in the past, but will unfortunately no longer do so. It seems like that either fry the fish with the chicken or that it was sitting out, not cold during the summer. read more

This is super casual and just perfect for stopping by, getting in line to order food, and find a table: easy on a Saturday night at 5:30pm. Nice to have tasty seafood dishes without breaking the bank, too. People of all ages enjoy the casual San Clemente vibe, most dressed casually. I had the Seafood Cioppino. It was amazingly delicious; a hint of spice, and filling. The pasta was perfectly cooked; as was the shrimp, scallops, mussels, calamari and more. The sauce is tasty, but don't wear white, like I did. The sauce spilled on my white shirt! I am such a mess maker when I wear white. Murphys law. The price I pay to eat Cioppino. Anyway, my boyfriend got the North Shore Garlic Shrimp. It was kinda sweet, and very flavorful. "Tasty, juicy, yummy," he said. He ate every bite. He gave me a bite, and I am definitely ordering it next time I go to Seasurf Fish Co. The location is on a kinda busy San Clemente street, El Camino Real. This building used to be a Donut Shop and there are still Tiles in the stucco by the parking lot that kids painted (probably a fund raiser) with drawings of donuts. So cute. We sat with a view of the busy street and enjoyed seeing kids dressed up for prom, walking by as they went to their fancy restaurants. I enjoyed the view more than I thought I would. It was life, being with the people, watching people walk around . A slice of San Clemente at its best. Loved it. When we finished eating, I looked back at the line to Order and it was 12 people deep. We came into San Clemente for a special event, and been wanting something unique in the main driving strip with high ratings, and this place happened to popped up for a the "Gotta Try" experience. Quality of the foods are there, we agreed on the most part. 1 of the main dish chosen was the "Spicy Poké Bowl". Tuna was fresh, not stringy, nice cut up chunks, and abundance. So happy we decided to have lunch at Seaside today . We sat at the bar to catch the second half of a football game . Went here after a beach day, got here just in time for happy hour! The poke nachos were amazing, I think we order three for our party of 7! They also had lots of other yummy choices like tacos or elote! I am definitely coming back, the place does fill up quickly and you seat yourself. This is hands down the best happy hour in San Clemente! From 3-5pm Monday through Friday, you can get numerous seafood items all for under $10! Everything here is good, but my favorites are the Poke Bowl/Poke Nachos and the Fish Tacos! Off the Happy Hour menu, the Lobster Pomodoro is my favorite. It comes with a lot of meat and is under $30! read more

November 2024- I tried a few different things on the menu and the Poke Nachos were my favorite! Very fresh and great flavor. I had a 1/2 dozen Washington oysters and they were not very good. I also had a lobster roll which had a decent amount of lobster and was average. I give it 3.5 stars. read more

The Poke is Amazing but the service is "over the top". I'm not sure who is best? Cam or Tory... hmm. I think Madison is also super attentive. Seasurf killed it on Valentine's Day! We had it delivered and sprung for the extra 2 bucks to have it come straight to us because we got the sushi roll with the fried shrimp on top and the poke with crispy onions. Everything arrived perfectly! Fresh, delicious and the crispy shrimp and onions were just that! But the highlight of the night was the miso soup! First time I tried it and I will now get it every time! The broth is amazing - almost like a miso with hints of lemon! Plenty of seaweed and tofu accompany the delicious broth. We just love Seasurf!! read more

Was in town for the night and wanted seafood so we stopped here. It's casual, affordable, with a nice selection of dishes. You order at the counter and they bring your food to the table. The food here is pretty good -- we ordered a bunch of things off the happy hour menu, some great beers, and then an order of steamed clams. This is where it kinda fell off. Despite the fact that the clams and broth were actually delicious, it seems that they don't carefully examine the clams before cooking as we came across several that were empty shells full of muddy sand. When we mentioned it, they remade it but the server literally said "Well, they're from the ocean so there might be sand." I've had gritty clams before (the kind that weren't well-purged before cooking), but this was a whole different level of sandy. I grew up around seafood my whole life, and never had this issue in a restaurant setting. Such a bummer to have this experience twice in one visit, and for the staff to be so nonchalant about it. It's not so off putting that I wouldn't recommend the place, I'd probably just steer clear of that particular dish. read more

Went on an overnight trip with my daughter and boyfriend so we looked for a local place to eat. This place had good reviews so we took a chance. My boyfriend ordered the Fisherman's catch with Cajun seasoning and it was delicious. He enjoyed the plate! My daughter got a burger but it was over cooked but she enjoyed the fries. I got the beer battered fish and chips it was delicious. We took it to go and it was still warm by the time we got to the hotel. The service was great. It was busy, but the servers were constantly asking if we had been served. The place is small to order because the bar is in the same area but they have outdoor seating which is nice to be outside. read more

Wow! What a find here in San Clemente !!! You will not be disappointed if you come here. Today we had a Poké bowl, salmon dish, and the shrimp with noodles. We also had garlic Parmesan fries. One of my favorite appetizers here are their bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers served with a blackberry jam and pickled onions...I get this pretty much every time. Lately I've been coming on Tuesdays to take advantage of their all-day Happy Hour, which is one of the best in town. Crispy carnitas tacos and the hibiscus margaritas are my go-to's, and the fresh chips and salsa served gratis are always delicious and hot. I wanted to take a moment to shout out their fantastic team of servers and bussers especially. Luna, Lindsay and Cesar have all been exceptional servers; their knowledge of the menu and their genuine kindness makes our visits that much more memorable. I don't often catch the name of the bussers, but they are extremely good at what they do. There's a few restaurants in town that hire staff and don't seem to train them well, so they struggle and it's apparent... but that's not the case here at Asada, where everyone is professional and really go above and beyond. It's easy to see how well their service flows (although the host stand could benefit from having people who are more outgoing; they seem to have timid people up there a lot, and it can be awkward when they're too timid to properly greet guests--just something I've noticed, having worked in restaurants before I tend to be hyper-aware of such things). My favorite section to get seated is the booths near the back which tend to be quieter, and also offer a nice view of the sky during the sunset and evening hours especially.

We decided to order the poke, ceviche, a few tacos, and some chips and guac, but sadly (once again), the review is going to be as stale as the chips themselves. To make matters worse, everything was drenched in a lackluster green sauce that left us unimpressed. Disappointed, my wife and I hopped into our car and simultaneously rated this place a measly 4 out of 10. We ordered fish tacos, blue point oysters, and lobster roll with uni. The oysters were fresh and they gave a good amount of lobster and uni. Best Happy Hour 3-5 in San Clemente. Love the poke nachos but get sauce on the side. Everything is good! Great staff. A little cold inside and out in winter, but they have some heaters. Bring jacket. read more
