My experience at Seattle hill was not only disrespectful but also inappropriate on all possible levels. It first started when I walked in the building looks updated although when you get to the small things the office was dirty around the seating and had a strange smell the whole time similar to cat piss. The employee at the front desk was as expected average just there to get paid so not overly great nor bad. The real issue started when I got in the chair they didn't make me feel extremely welcome which is something that didn't really matter but still took notes of it. When the work started it was a simple filling but the dental assistant couldn't operate the drill properly causing slip ups and resulting in my whole mouth to be in immense pain. After the brutal filling the dentist came over to inspect. The dentist began by checking the word said it seemed to be good but then proceeded to stick his fingers and at one point full fist down my throat I began to gag and was having trouble breathing this continued for several minutes it was extremly painful as well as traumatizing. Honestly I'm not surprised by this experience since I've tried to have the same cavity filled there 3 times but they never seem to listen when I explain there filling always comes out. They have terrible service they don't like to listen to feedback and they are inappropriate and inadequate to operate dental equipment and run simple procedures. I will not be making a return ever again this place is terrible only go if you like to be in pain and be treated like a scumbag. read more

I've been going to Dr Hong for about 12 or 13 years now. Had to post this now because he saved me again. He and his staff has been so great over the years, accommodating my tooth challenges and fixing them - I'm not blessed with strong chompers. Who hates going to the dentist? Um, this girl right here! This place is very caring about their patients starting with Kay, she is sweet and answers all my insurance questions, and I have had a lot. Dr. Hong is patience with me and my fear of needles. He is gentle and checks in with me throughout the process. I have never had a deep cleaning before, heck I only go to the dentist when something hurts. Today was my second time seeing him and I feel comfortable now saying that I may not have a fear of going. The office is always bright and cheerful. Everything is nice and clean and I loved today they were playing country music in the background. Dr. Hong is the best dentist I've ever had :) Like most people, I hate going to the dentist. I also have bad reactions to most numbing drugs. But Dr. Hong has done 2 fillings for me, and most recently, today I had a root canal. I was in full panic mode going in there, but Dr. Hong and the staff were very reassuring and kind, didn't make me feel like I was the crazed girl that I know I was, and the root canal was fast, painless and EASY! If you want a family dentist that will treat you with respect, make you feel comfortable, has all the best equipment available and a great support staff to boot, stop looking and become a patient here, I'm very glad I did! side note: I woke up with face pain and was seen in less than 3 hours, so it's nice to know that I can count on my dentist when I need urgent care. read more

These guys are great. This appears to be a smaller practice which affords a more personalized approach. I enjoy being at a dentist that actually has some high tech equipment rather than my former dentist who felt that technology was a "fad". The entire staff is very courtious and accomodating to my and my wifes busy schedule. I reccomend this dentist. read more

I have been trying to find a new dentist and decided to try Seattle Hill based on their positive reviews. But I was not very happy with my appointment. The dr was very rude--he asked me intially, "So do your gums bleed when you brush or floss?" I gave him an honest answer, and then he proceeded to tell me I was wrong based on his assessment. I don't understand why he would ask if he knew the answer. I was extremely confused as to why they would recommend what they did. After my appointment they recommended a two-day deep cleaning and then braces?! I was very confused, and asked a lot of questions about how they braces would be beneficial and didn't feel like I got a straight answer. I'll be getting a second opinion. read more

Dr. Hong and his staff are awesome. My family has been going here since shortly after they opened and we have been very happy. They can handle everything from routine checkups and fillings to root canals and cosmetic buildup with ease. A cash discount is offered and same day appointments can usually be arranged. Dr. Hong and his staff are friendly and professional. We've even received follow-up phone calls from Kelly, the office manager, to make sure that we were doing well after certain more in depth procedures. I went for X rays and a consultation since I haven't been to the dentist in a long time... Dr. Hong explained a treatment plan for getting my mouth back on track, showing me each tooth and prioritizing what really needed to be done. He explained the bigger picture of what is happening with certain teeth and why I am having problems chewing, etc. His manner and knowledge gave me confidence that A) He is a good dentist, very knowledgable, personable, and honest. B) I feel very comfortable having my cavities filled here! That is HUGE for a person with dental phobia to say! The office is clean, friendly and comfortable too, which is always a plus. A few years back I had decided to go to this dentist because of the positive reviews. This dental office certainly looks nice, and that's where the positives stop. The front desk woman was okay for check in and check out, but she called me over a period of 4 months asking me questions about my dental coverage! She couldn't figure out how to verify one of my insurances (I had dual coverage). My mom, who also works in insurance, ended up telling her how to do her job! Dr. Hong was also rude. I had some fillings gone, and came back to see him due to pain in a treated tooth. He told me I shouldn't be having any pain because my filling was "shallow"... my the entire experience here was bad. I went to another dentist about the pain in that particular treated tooth and he told me that the filling was fairly large, and if he were to go in to replace it that he could potentially crack the tooth. So much for a shallow filling. I would recommend people search elsewhere for dental care than to go to this office. read more

I don't understand the bad reviews. I've been here 3 times now. The office staff and Dr Hong are friendly, knowledgeable, and patient with adults who have anxiety about dental work. Dr Hong laid out a treatment plan on my first visit. I opted not to do any of the work at that time. 9 months later, I was ready to start the process.
