I stayed here with all of my in-laws for a 70th birthday party weekend in August. It was all of our first times at a resort like this, and it really does remind you of adult summer camp (kind of like the resort in Dirty Dancing), but in a beautiful Maine backdrop. We rented two cottages--the Water's Edge and the Rockycrest. The Water's Edge was the perfect little retreat for 2 couples with a gorgeous view of the water in the backyard and a prime location. The cottage could have been cleaned with more care (we found some dust and hair on some of the surfaces), but overall was quite lovely. The Rockycrest looked like it had seen better days, was located all the way at the back of the property across the street from the main resort, and the advertised kitchen was quite tiny. So your experience really does depend on the accommodation you reserve. The amenities really make this place quite a treat. The pool is heated and has wonderful views of the ocean. There are pickleball/tennis courts. There are lawn games and a volleyball net. There are bikes to ride for free. At night, there is an arcade and candlepin bowling. There are golf courses to play on (for a hefty extra fee) and motor boat rides to reserve (also for an extra fee). There are also daily scheduled events like tie-dye and make-your-own ice cream. We kept ourselves pretty entertained over one weekend here, and it's a fantastic place to bring kids (most of the people we encountered were here with little kids). The restaurant was surprisingly great. We only ate there for one lunch and all enjoyed our meals, particularly the excellent fish and chips. Breakfast is very expensive, so we didn't partake. Service was a little hit or miss. Check-in was very disorganized, but when we called the front desk to bring up extra items, they were accommodating, and all the staff we worked with were very pleasant. There was a diaper on the floor behind the tv and there was 3 pieces of half eaten pizza dried up behind the couch. *Long Review Ahead* Please read if you're considering Sebasco I stayed at Sebasco Harbor Resort July 14-16, 2025 during a 9-day road trip with my preteen son. I had high expectations: their website and Instagram portrayed a true resort with amenities like a bowling alley, arcade, pool, and polished dining. I booked a Lighthouse Room thinking it would be the highlight of our trip. Unfortunately, what we experienced was not a resort, but a run-down campground with misleading marketing. Check-in & First Impressions From the moment we arrived, the property felt neglected. The reception area had a dead plant shedding all over the carpet, and the staff member checking me in looked unkempt and could not locate my reservation or key at first. There was no warm welcome, no orientation... just a finger pointing down a road. The parking lot greeted us with an overflowing dumpster and swarms of flies. Room Conditions & Safety Concerns Our Lighthouse room (#2) was unsafe and unclean. The card reader on the building was broken, the doorknob to our room was loose, and there was no interior lock. As a single mom traveling with my child, I felt extremely vulnerable. The room itself was dirty: dust and hair on windowsills, bugs on the ceiling, no trash cans, no pillowcases, a sink that barely drained, and bouncy, cheap "campground" beds. Sound traveled so badly through gaps under doors that I could hear neighbors coughing. Service & Dining I had pre-ordered chocolate covered strawberries... instead of the promised "nice handwritten note," they were dropped off with a crumpled Post-it scribble. At dinner, service was poor and the food was low quality... the truffle fries were made with rancid oil. Amenities - Closed & Misrepresented My son was most excited about the bowling alley and arcade. After wandering in the dark trying to find them, my key didn't work and the facilities were locked. Only after repeated calls (with no answer at first) did I learn these amenities are closed Mon-Wed due to staffing. None of this was disclosed on the website nor check in. In reality, many of the "resort" amenities are either unavailable or poorly maintained. Management Response At checkout, I spoke directly with the manager. Instead of empathy or resolution, he brushed off my concerns as "rustic charm" and sorry lack of employees. Rustic charm does not excuse unsafe, dirty rooms and misleading advertising. Despite requesting a partial refund, nothing was offered. Bottom Line & Recommendations Sebasco is not a resort - it is a tired campground charging $300-500/night resort prices. Unless there is a complete overhaul in branding, cleanliness, safety, and employee culture, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Went for drinks and snacks on Sunday afternoon past. Waited a half an hour for a Bloody Mary and a rosé. They never came so we left. Very disappointing because it's a lovely spot on the water near our home. We've been before with no bad experiences but this was the worst. read more

We recently stayed on a mooring at Sebasco Harbor Resort. We had a nice time but definitely some issues. They provide a launch service which was a big reason we decided to stay there. we came in to use the pool and when it was time to go back out to our boat the launch was out at some one's boat in the harbor we waited a long time 15-20 minutes at least for it to come back. Another couple couldn't wait any longer and the guy jumped in the water and swam out to his Boat. We came back in later for dinner and couldn't get a table for dinner. The bar had 6 empty tables but they would not seat us. They told us to go to the pizza place which was the only option. When we went to get the launch back after dinner ( which stops at 8 pm) The manager was out talking some one on a loop harbor tour and we stood around an waited at least another 20-30 minutes for them to get back. Several people that we talked to said we didn't miss anything by not eating in the restaurant. The pizza was good So maybe we lucked out. It is a nice place and offers a different experience for boaters but they seems need to improve some things. read more

This is a complex review. The resort is beautiful, the golf course is awesome, and the views are amazing. The location is perfect for a getaway with beaches, seafood, and not far from civilization if you still want to run to town. The only strike is the service is really unfortunate. None of the staff can tell you anything about activities or events on premises. The waitstaff is extremely friendly but get more wrong than right on orders. We were concerned about our upcoming stay because of some recent negative reviews, but Sebasco turned out to be a great spot for our family reunion. Yes, there are some issues that hopefully Sebasco can fix in the future, but none of these issues stopped us from having a great time in a beautiful location. The good: This is a beautiful spot with many different accommodations to choose from (cottage, hotel, etc.). This makes it a good choice for a larger family gathering, since each individual family can book the room or home that works best for them. There is a large heated pool with stunning views and an attached 1' deep baby pool. The hotel provides a full continental breakfast, including coffee, tea, juice, bacon/sausage, eggs (questionable, but there), potatoes or pancakes, cereal, bagels, pastries, fruit, yogurt, etc. The coffee was great - FAR above average for a hotel. The service was friendly and all our requests were met. We especially loved all the young adults who ran the kids activities. All the staff we interacted with had good attitudes and seemed happy to be there. The resort offers many activities. There is a golf course, pickleball courts, kayaks for rent, free bikes to use, a bowling/arcade room (with limited hours), a small playground, the pool, and a couple scheduled activities each day for kids (tie-dye, smores, parents night out, scavenger hunt, etc.). Within a short driving distance from the resort are multiple hikes and beaches. The cottage we stayed in (Shore Ledges) was a great fit for us. There are 6 bedrooms and each has their own attached bathroom. The best part about the cottage is the location on the property - GORGEOUS views from the back, plenty of outdoor seating, rocks for the kids to climb on and explore looking for crabs, screened in porch. Our group of 50 met in the backyard at this cottage each night to grill dinner and the seating was totally sufficient. What a beautiful spot for a large family dinner! The less good: To be honest, the cottage needs a renovation. The bathrooms are old, the front stairway is rotting, and there is considerable wear and tear on the interior and exterior (curtains falling down, missing screens, etc.). For a house this size (and considering there were no other food options 2 of the days we stayed), the kitchenette really needs to be converted into a full kitchen with a stove/oven and working counterspace. We found the key card entry INTERIOR doors to be highly frustrating as well. Families staying at Sebasco need to be prepared for the limited food options. The restaurant is not open at all on Monday and Tuesday, and there is not much else in the way of food available. There is a Walmart 30 minutes away and my suggestion is to stop there on your way in. We requested a grill at our cottage and grilled our meals. With some planning and flexibility, this can actually turn out to be quite a cost-savings! I am not the one who paid for the reservation, but it is my understanding that the final amount paid for the cottage was SIGNIFICANTLY less than what it was supposed to be when we booked the place over a year ago. So it would seem as though the management sees the issues Sebasco has and is working to compensate for them. I think it would take a pretty significant overhaul to turn the resort into a "luxury" destination that people are willing to pay top dollar for, but in the meantime, considering the reduced rate, this is a beautiful and fun spot in which to experience Maine. This was my family's first trip to Maine. To be honest, I stumbled upon Sebasco Harbor Resort while perusing places within driving distance to Booth Bay, where most of our planned activities were. Check-in was friendly and informative, with a map, info about the restaurant and scheduled kids' activities. Our first room was in the Main Lodge. Even just walking around the resort and catching the sunset over the harbor is nice. Lots of activities here: saltwater pool was pretty amazing. Cold when you first get in then feels warm. There's a small arcade (about 7 machines) if you have kids with you. Bowling, pool, tennis, golf course. I didn't take advantage of those so I can't say much. I'll review the on-site restaurant separately. There's a mercantile with snacks for purchase. There are posted quiet hours after 10 pm which even the rowdy people seemed to respect. The first night, around 9 pm, we discovered our air conditioner was making a startlingly loud buzzing sound every 5 minutes. It was weird, the unit looked new and high tech. I made a call to the front desk. They walked us through resetting the unit(we had already turned it off on the wall). They offered to come by and help but said they wouldn't be able to send anyone to look at it until the next day. They also said they would work on moving us. Thankfully after turning the unit off, it only made the sound a few more times during the night. They called around 3:30pm the next day and offered to move us. We had been told we'd be called before maintenance came to look at it. We never got a call. When we inquired about it, they said someone was coming next week. We were only staying one more night so almost said no to the move. It was an upgrade but they said no additional cost. It was a beautiful king suite with a balcony and spa bath. However, we had 2 kids with us and we don't do the family bed thing. We called the front desk and they brought one twin inflatable bed. So we had to call again and they brought another. They were kind and accommodating each time. Check out was conveniently contactless by text and leaving the keys in the room. There is a friendly village feel to this place, and we would definitely stay here again. My kids loved it. I guess it's been there since the 50s, and there are times you can tell. I found the prices reasonable and the staff helpful when we had an issue. The views and amenities are nice. Breakfast is a nice buffet spread but not included in the room price: $12 adults, $6 kids under 12. read more

We had a family trip to Sebasco Harbor Resort in Aug 2023 and it was a perfect place for our group which included my husband and I, my in-laws, and my sister-in-law and her family with two kids (6 & 8). It was a bit rustic and reminded me of the family resort in Dirty Dancing. Very family friendly. My sister-in-law's family had the Water Edge house which included two bedrooms (one with two beds) and each with their own bathrooms. It also had a shared living/dining space and a kitchenette. It didn't have AC but there were two fans there when they arrived and once they opened up all the windows there was a nice breeze which quickly cooled the place off. I asked and they didn't have any issue with being too warm to sleep. Also the best thing about Waters Edge is that it's super close to both the pool and the Ledges Pub where breakfast and the restaurant are. It was an ideal location for both her kids but also to be the home base for us as a family to hang out. My husband and I were in the Fairwinds Suites which thankfully did have AC. It's a necessity for me as I run hot and also I can't sleep in a warm room. It also had a cute sitting area, a good sized bathroom (sadly without a tub) and a kitchenette. There was also a little outside space to sit and watch the Harbor although it wasn't the easiest to get to if you have any issues walking over uneven ground. It's also one of places to stay which is on the outermost area of the resort which was great for my afternoon naps and reading time in the mornings, very peaceful. Lastly my in-laws were in one of the Harbor Village suites and unexpectedly they had the nicest room of all three. They had AC and also had a large amount of space. My mother-in-law recently had hip surgery so she needed a bathroom where she could access the shower without having to step up or over anything and their bathroom was amazing with both a shower that perfectly fit her needs and a jacuzzi tub which I don't believe they used but that I was jealous of. When it came to the amenities of the resort we visited a bunch of the services (golf, games at the Quarterdeck, ice cream and more) everyone was very nice and friendly. I did get the sense that they may have been short staffed but the staff we did interact with was never rushed or rude. They also had a bunch of stuff for the kids to participate in for example a Bowling & Pizza night and Shirt Tie Dying. Also at the Quarterdeck they have around half a dozen paid arcade games and a bunch of free games like ping pong, foosball, shuffle ball and air hockey. It was a fun space and the night we went by wasn't too busy. We only had to wait a short while to use any of the free games. Lastly we went to the Leges Pub one night and it was a great experience. We had a group of 6, the kids were at the Bowling/Pizza night which acted as babysitting so we could have dinner with just the adults. We were served by Paul who was a delight. We stayed here in early August and we loved our stay. We stayed in the lighthouse, which was really cool. The lighthouse (this does have AC) had a great view of the water. There were some lounge chairs perfectly situated at the window, and it was lovely to just sit there and look outside. We didn't mind the no housekeeping during our stay. It has become a COVID norm! With COVID And everything, we were a little bit weary about doing candlepin bowling- I am sure that's a blast. But everything was so crowded, so we probably would not have been able to do it anyway. We did not partake in the resort's amenities aside from the pool within the resort. I know there's a few boat tours and kayaking. We honestly thought it was a little expensive. We liked staying there though, but we mostly did excursions away (Boothbay, Rockland) so that we could get as much out of our time in midcoast Maine as we can! The pool is really very nice, albeit cold. (and it's saltwater) The Ledges pub is very good, but very crowded. There is a small ice cream shop- the coffee flavor is great! There is some coffee/breakfast in the giftshop but they run out of bagels like immediately so I never got a chance to have a bagel, but their muffins are giant and yummy. I thought everyone was very nice. I am glad we got to experience a resort in midcoast maine. It was a treat. If you eat breakfast in the room above Ledges, you might get a chance to meet Fred, the Resort Seagull. He likes to watch everyone eat. Sometimes kids feed him. There is a seagull nesting ground at the resort, but Fred is the most frequent visitor. Our very last night, the resort lost power. I am not writing this to complain because this was not a fault of the resort...but anyway... when that happened...we enjoyed a few hours of pure darkness. Being from Boston, my son had never experienced that kind of darkness. He was a little scared, and even though it was 11pm, we made him go outside and look at the stars. He had never seen stars like that before (and it had been a long time since my husband and I had seen stars like that!). He'll never forget it! read more

Bus group of 45 seniors stayed 3 nights. Beautiful property. excellent breakfast & dinner. Rooms air conditioned. Old timey atmosphere. no elevators. some of our people that can't walk well were given 2nd floor rooms unbeknownst to me so some confusion on arrival & room changes had to be made. All the staff were great & helped as best they could. Only other problem was the old fashioned tub had no plastic mat so tends to be slippery especially for seniors. I told them morning after arrival to put down plastic mats before some one falls down. they did exactly that that day and 1 less thing to worry about. Overall ok stay. lots of potential here. We stayed at Sebasco this month for our 35th wedding anniversary. We had been to the resort 20 years ago with our children. The location is fantastic and the management is working very hard with the "new" owners to update all of the amenities and create a wonderful experience. The food at the restaurant was fantastic. Access to Popham beach is ten minutes and well worth the breathtaking experience. Leon and Paulino were both attentive to a few challenges we experienced with season opening renovations, and made sure we left the resort feeling very satisfied. Thank you! I stayed at the resort tbe 4th of July. Wow, what an incredibly unique experience. It's such a great property for all ages. You could tell that other guests had been going there repeatedly. There is so much to do from kayaking to golf, tennis and bowling. The food was an exceptionally good value for the money and the service was outstanding. I would recommend this resort for people if all ages as they have so many varied things to do there. I will be coming back again next year. read more

A first ever out of home family vacation for Mom, all siblings, and our partners and (their) kids brought 14 of us to Sebasco. This is a more traditional New England style resort: it's not modern and it doesn't need to be. It has something for everyone, including tennis, golf, a spa, an old school games arcade with bowling, kayaks and canoes, short cruise offerings, and a massive oceanside salt water pool. The grounds were well maintained with nice flowers, the lobster bake was fun and had great food and side dishes, and the staff was friendly. The resort was short-staffed during the post-pandemic 2021 summer when we visited, and most staff were younger and less experienced in higher end service, although there were a couple of stellar dinner servers who worked excellently with the six kids in our group. Food was mixed: the breakfast buffet was mostly good and the lobster bake was great, but dinner options were inconsistent and often not all that well executed. Overall, this is a nice place for a family visit, with plenty of offerings to keep people busy, to choose their own adventure, and still come back together in the evening to celebrate family. The fireworks for July 4th (actually on 7/1) were an unexpected highlight! read more

We just held a family reunion for 50 at the Sebasco Resort. Every detail was a thoughtful experience, with very friendly staff. The children in our group went to every opportunity: pirate scavenger hunt, making cotton candy, tie dye shirts, etc. I've been a frequent visitor to Maine and I was relieved the resort fully had the "Maine vibe" and had zero anonymous resort vibe. I was unexpectedly pleased we chose the Main Lodge, so very charming. The west coast family members were completely blown away by Maine. I just wish we could have stayed one more day. The location is perfect for a getaway to experience rural Maine. We were at the resort mid-May and it was pretty evident they were just opening for their busy summer season and weren't quite up to speed yet. The room was okay, nothing fancy and wished it would've had a full length mirror. Shower water was cold but fixed quickly when we called the front desk. Shower pressure was not great. Close to Popham Beach State Park which is a beautiful getaway with a nice beach. Derek (LMT) gave a fantastic massage and the Spa manager gave great recommendations for Portland and other places. read more

Found this little gem of a resort thanks to close friends who got married there this weekend. This is a quaint little resort tucked away on the coast of Maine. To me it was exactly what one would expect from an ocean front resort in Maine - a place to disconnect, unwind and enjoy the company of those you're with. The property is not huge, but things are spread apart as its a mixture of the main lodge area, with cottages and other amenities sprinkled about the property. There's a main lodge with hotel accommodations, but we were fortunate enough to stay in the Shore Ledges cottage. It was beautiful. Equipped with 6 private bedrooms that had their own bathroom, an open air deck as well as a screened in porch it was certainly something unlike anything this Miami girl had ever seen. The bride and groom opted to their first look right outside our cottage overlooking the water - so that gives you an idea of how picturesque this spot is. The rooms are not modern, but come with everything you need for your stay. A comfy bed, space, and of course a bathroom with great water pressure (my personal fave). This cottage has a nice kitchen too, so you can bring snacks and such for your stay. There is both a nice restaurant as well as a pub on the property which make for convenient eats while you're there. I did not take advantage of the salt water pool, but it certainly did look fabulous. Last but not least the main hall of the resort where the wedding took place is beautiful. There is so much natural light in the space and plenty of room for dancing! Shout out to the hotel restaurant for providing us with top-notch food at the wedding. I'm sure the foodie bride and groom had lots to do with the creative menu (Watermelon, Arugula and Goat Cheese Salad was my fave) but the execution was spot on for a wedding of about 120+ people. The main entree, short rib, was to die for! If you're looking for a relaxing getaway and seaside views, Sebasco Harbor is for you. You can truly disconnect as there is no reception on property, but for those who need their Instagram (like me) the wifi is pretty solid. read more

If you're looking to revisit summer camp from middle school this is the place to be. For the rest of us, this is not the place to go in Maine. We came here for a wedding and were very disappointed. The rooms were small and they didn't have any king or queen beds. Our room had two full beds. The resort grounds are really small. Breakfast is not included and the closest restaurant is a half hour away in Bath. Parking is not close to the main resort house. The pool is fed from the ocean and the pool and pool deck are in major decay. read more

We had the most frustrating and disappointing EXPENSIVE vacation here. When we arrived at this resort we found the following: 1. They charged us over $500.00 more than price quoted on phone. We were stuck since they planned to keep our deposit and we had driven 4 hours to get there. 2. There were no family activities or lobster bake though we were told over the phone that these scheduled activities would be taking place. 3. This is a picture of the pool. It was not a place we could relax as it looks on the website. 4. Terrible waitstaff. Our waitress refused to bring us a glass then stopped waiting on us in the middle Of our meal. Well, what can I say about a place that advertises their pure Maine experience lobster bake but doesn't order enough food so that all guests can attend? Then, they claimed to have contacted me two weeks before by phone or email to make my reservation. But I'm pretty sure no one called or emailed. Would it not be easier to include the sign up as part of the room reservation process or somewhere online? So we drove for 7hours to make it and no place at the table for us. Not pleased. Then, there really isn't anything much happening at this "resort". The pool is old and gross. The mosquitoes will eat you alive. We spent our time driving the coast and visiting other places, just returning here to sleep. This is not what I envisioned when I booked this "resort." Most of the staff here are lovely and nice to chat with. The grounds are very pretty and well kept. But I'm not sure this place merits a second visit given how many other places there are to stay in Maine. read more

Absolute Nightmare, wish I could get my money back, and will never go again. We spent two nights at Sebasco Harbor Resort and unfortunately it was 2 nights too many. I called to check on our room at 2:30 and was told there is a guaranteed check-in for 3:30. So imagine my surprise when we arrive at 4 PM and our room is still not ready, nor were the rooms of any of the other angry guests waiting in the heat. No one was apologetic about the fact that no one could get into their rooms, in fact they seemed annoyed with all of us who were upset we couldn't get into our rooms an hour after check-in time. Once our room was finally ready around 4:30 we lugged our luggage a half mile across the resort and into our dirty room. The bathroom was dirty and the refrigerator reeked of fish. I put my 6 year old in the bathtub and after a few minutes it became evident that the water was a yellowy brown color. I went to try and shower her off and the water to the entire resort had shut off. Now my 6 year old was covered in some sort of yellowy brown film and we could not clean it off because the entire resort had lost water. I called the front desk to see what was going on and the girl who answered yelled at me and hung up. After the water came back on an hour later, it was still spitting out yellowish brown water. I had to wipe down the tub to get the dark and dirty film off of it that was left from the water. My 6-year-old ended up with a skin infection. God only knows what was in that water. The people in the room above us had small children and they ran and jumped off of the bunk beds until well after midnight every night. It was so bad that the people below us called the desk and complained because they too could hear it. Then on night 2 the front desk called and said that there was a noise complaint about our room (it was really the room above us) Around 11 at night our entire floor was awoken by a man smashing the doors and screaming swears and profanity about the running children. A man in the room next to us opened his door and eventually calmed him down and got him to go back to his room. What a terrifying experience and way to be woken up in the middle of the night. I never slept again that night out of fear and as a result we could not check out fast enough. However, in my haste to depart the resort from hell, I left my refrigerated medication in the fish-smelling fridge. Once I realized what I had done I called the resort to come and get my medicine. The front desk continued to tell me that the room had not been cleaned yet and I could not get it. After hours of waiting and NEEDING my medicine I finally took my children and went and sat in the resort office to make someone get me my medicine. They continued to call the head of housekeeping to no avail. Finally after another guest checked into the room, someone brought me my lukewarm and unusable medication. While sitting in the office at least 5 other families tried to check in to their rooms and all were told their rooms were not ready... close to 5 at night. Once they gained access to their rooms they all promptly returned to say that their key cards did not work and they could not get into their rooms. I felt terrible watching this play out as I waited for my medicine, knowing what these families had ahead of them in the next few days. I will continue to post my lengthy review anywhere and everywhere unless I am refunded the exorbitant amount I paid for this nightmare. read more

Management's response to their lack of adherence to protocol and numerous concerns from numerous guests was, "there wasn't an active fire and no one was injured" four days later. Not that a fire alarm going off at 6am for forty minutes until fire department personnel arrived and staff in the office next door didn't know it was even occurring and had no manager on staff. Families cancelled the rest of their stay and couldn't get out of there fast enough. There were several refunds and discounts and one family called Amex to stop payment. And the response to the review on Google and Expedia was "these were addressed in person." What person? I wasn't there. When? I would have loved that. I'm sure we all would have and I stayed and gave you that chance, but it was the manager's day off and she didn't come in and four days later, still no effort made to address the issues. A refund or a discount isn't going to fix a broken system or code violations. And waiting for an accident to happen because that's not an if, but a when will simply be too late. You're not without promise here, but accepting responsibility and making meaningful changes just might turn your ship around. It's clear the lighthouse keeper is long gone and this ship is not just run aground, but about to splinter on the rocks. The question is how many guests will drown with not a warning sound? It's beautiful here, but so were the sirens before they lured sailors to the depths by song of broken promise and no raft. Skip Sebasco. With all its closed amenities and unresponsive management that even their own noted needed to be remedied, try Bailey Island or try a campground. This was not what was marketed, not what was priced. Wait until they figure it out. If they're still around next year, try it then. Here's to hoping because what a waste for this property to sink beneath an inexperienced first mate. read more

Strongest asset of this property is the LOCATION. Don't expect high end luxury or opulence. We took advantage of a last minute deal on Travelzoo for $98 nite. And trust me, I would NEVER in good conscience, suggest or stay here at even their lowest standard rate which is more than double than what we paid. Price isn't everything. However, if you market your property as a luxury resort, then deliver. It's shoddy, run down, down right dirty & worn in many spots through out the property, and its former glory isn't enough to carry it. It's like a grand dame who was once fabulous decades ago but is now old and forgotten. **SEE MY PICTURES The good: The water views & grounds are quiet, rural and very pleasant. The huge salt water pool is great as is the patio adjacent to the water & perfect for viewing the sunset. And our king bed was very comfortable. I was there for the weekend, no handicap accessibility, or a way to bring a baby carriage upstairs . No elevators. Stairs are a bit scary to walk down. The food at the restaurant was not good ordered a lobster roll and it came out in a small roll and was imitation lobster little pieces for $18 . Also ordered another night scallops came with 3 and a handful of tiny shrimp. In the room there was mosquitos flying around . Lot of money got very little. Was nice to walk around, staff was friendly and the ice cream shop was very good . read more

We just returned from a 3 generation stay of nearly a week. Overall, very good stay. Staff was great but not enough as college kids have begun to leave. Accommodations (we were in a cottage) were 'retro' but that was fine for the most part. Many activities for kids but no 'camp' due to COVID, but that was fine, too. Golf was great! Course was fun; plenty of target golf. Lost way too many balls! We had MAP for meals; made things easy but challenge was we could not get into Lobster Bake and tough to get reservations for dinner at Pilot House; sent our son and daughter in law to dinner at a Pilot House; they were very very impressed! Management made things right when they learned we were turned down at Lobster Bake and tough getting reservations at Pilot House for dinner. I wonder if management may want to reconsider priority of those staying at the Resort vs those boating in for dinner or lobster. Highly recommend the kayak trip folks! They were great. Weather could not have been better! read more

This place used to be great. We had been here each year for a family getaway. Last year, they were bought by a larger parent company, and there are many changes, and not for the better. Their handicap accommodations are deplorable. There is one handicap parking space by their main restaurant, and their staff are regularly using it to store their bicycles. We brought this to their attention, and they failed to rectify it. Once, our car was blocked into the (needed by us) handicap space by one of their vans for loading in supplies. No one returned to the van for over 10 minutes, and no one was available to help move it. Their handrails at the pool, supposed to be used for entering and exiting, we're both loose and very dangerous. Could not be used to support the weight of people who need them to get in and out. Handicap accommodations are a requirement of federal law, and they are far out of compliance. read more

Friendly, casual, and we didn't get in the car for 2 days! Beautiful salt water pool on the ocean. The pros: so much to do! It's not "posh", more old school, but tennis, golf, sauna, fitness room, hiking, kayaking, SUP tours, bowling alley/arcade, badminton, biking, etc all available on site and- if not included in the room rate- was very reasonable priced. The bowling alley is absolutely charming and old school. The kids loved playing the juke box. We are two meals in the pub which were quite good. Drinks and service were fantastic especially. Ah yes, Sebasco Harbor Resort. You'll spend several thousand dollars at a resort for 5 nights and receive a spectacular view and nothing else. They're understaffed- I get it, but you can't charge these rates and provide this level of poor service. No housekeeping (covid they said), sign up for the lobster bake? Better come early because they run out of food. Take your meals ourside? They'll look perplexed. Want a seat at dinner? Good luck. And the final straw was when we ordered two shirley temples to go, for two kids. The elder drank some and said "this tastes funny." All the adults quickly intervened- gin. Gin was in a drink served to minors. Did they apologize? Were they horrified? No, all the bar manager said was "lady, we will never lose our bar license." read more

Although they got off to a bumpy start in June, in July Sebasco Harbor Resort was in full swing and was the perfect place for our 50th Anniversary Celebration. We stayed in Shore Ledges cottage and had an amazing vacation with our extended family, ages 6-80, with lots of love, food and laughs plus daily adventure. Paddling with seals, eating lobster, chasing seagulls, hanging out at the pool, candlestick bowling, pickleball, golf, riding bikes, afternoon ice creams, walking the property, carving our initials in a lighthouse plus so much more. It didn't hurt that the weather was picture perfect, temperatures mild compared to the rest of the country. The reception staff were very hospitable and helpful. Ledges Pub was quite accommodating for a group our size, and the food and service staff were very good. The housekeeping staff members were cheerful and super prompt with everything we requested. We were very pleased with our private dinner party overlooking the harbor in Pilot House, and took many great photos as the sun set over the harbor in the background. The banquet staff set the room beautifully, and were very professional and friendly while working out final details with us. Kudos to the catering team, who developed and prepared a scrumptious dinner buffet that included delicious vegan entrees for our plant-based guests. Once upon a time there was a magical spot in Maine that featured a variety of room options ranging from rustic cabins to the ultra modern with kitchenette and wonderful views. the coffee shop in the sea crest gift shop is not very good as they're employees don't really know what they're doing. we also booked a paddle boarding tour, however we waited for the guide for 25 minutes, but they never showed up. in our inn, there were multiple holes in the screen doors, and a red squirrel made himself at home multiple times. however, they had a great pool and their ledges pub restaurant was great. (minus the biting bugs) my final thoughts on this place is that is it located in a great spot (kinda secluded from everything else) but their service doesn't match up. read more

Nice. People from outside Maine will be struck with the beauty. However, being from Maine I would not rank this resort as high as I would The Samoset in Rockland. The lobster bake was delicious and the service outstanding. The staff certainly goes the extra mile for guests. There are numerous activities and the resort looks to be more of a family destination that The Samoset would be. There is a 14 day cancellation policy. When we tried to cancel we could not get our money back but they generously gave us a free upgrade to a Spa room with a nice view. However, if I was paying the full $299 a night for the room I would say it is too pricey. Golf, live band, harbor tours and candlepin bowling all onsite. read more

I stayed with family at this resort for a couple of days. The resort was wonderful with entertaining activities such as bowling at the quarterdeck recreation center and taking a magnificent view of the land and water atop the lighthouse. The rooms were very clean and tidy. The cleaning staff did an amazing job in maintaining the rooms clean and were really helpful when questions were asked about the resort. The food was excellent and the service from the waiting staff was amazing. All the employees at the resort are nice and make you feel at home. I would definitely book a room at this resort again some time in the near future and I recommend it to other friends and family. read more

My husband just returned from our second visit to Sebasco Harbor Resort. Sebasco is a little village of a resort with many separate buildings, connected by narrow golf cart sized, winding roads, ideal for walking. The location is spectacular in terms of the views and the constant breeze. Everywhere you look is beautiful. The salt water pool is set up high, with a breathtaking view of the harbor. It is however- kind of in the middle of nowhere. Other than the local beach- it's a considerable drive to just about anywhere. You absolutely could enjoy yourself here- without leaving though... as we did during our first visit. The whole place has a bit of an old family beach house feel! The main lodge has an enormous front porch that is always busy with guests chatting, reading or just taking in the scenery. Big common areas are stocked with board games, decks of cards and books- where guests of all ages tend to congregate at all hours. There are lawn games around the property, encouraging more relaxing fun. While I love the feel of the guest rooms and common areas, certain updates are needed, and attention to some issues: *The fitness center needs A/C. *The lighthouse interior needs painting. This should happen each year in my opinion& I was appalled at the graffiti that the staff has failed to paint over. It was not there during our last visit. *The guest room balconies & fabric awnings by the office need more regular power washing. I felt that the staff to guest ratio has dwindled since our last visit. There were not enough staff around each area to make you feel you were being taken care of. While I appreciate the 'vacation at your own pace' motto, I would feel more valued as a guest if a staff member was seen more frequently stopping in at un-staffed locations, simply asking guests how they are enjoying their stay, if they need anything etc. The professionalism could be improved if the staff didn't seem so overwhelmed all of the time. read more
