Came here today because of the food. Needless to say I will not be coming back. While waiting to get my pizza to go, another patron brought a pizza back to the counter, the same kind I ordered. He just ordered his without the mushrooms. Long story short, I told the girl at the counter that I would wait for a new one. She explained to the guy working the oven about the mistake and that was why he was making a new one. Evidently he failed to notice I was standing there at the counter he and told the girl they didn't touch it and she should have passed it on to me. Don't know about you or your situation but my husband has an autoimmune issue an with the new Covid strain super wild here, I don't want to take that chance, I don't know how many people are sitting at that table where it was delivered to them..... My point being, not good business. So I am sure this just cured me of eating out, when a business is willing to compromise the health of their customers for the sake of a pizza....? read more

This place has the best pizza ever, It is huge and loaded with toppings and I mean loaded and you will want to order the Garlic Cheese bread it is delicious! Another must try is the Mexican pizza it is loaded with all of your favorite taco toppings! It is a cute location always clean Carolyn is the best, and her staff is mostly younger kids but they are always nice and helpful. Prices are great for a large Canadian bacon and pineapple plus a large garlic bread we pay about $23 and some change and it feeds my family of 6 dinner and lunch the next day (Most of the time) some of the menu prices may seem high at first but once you receive your pizza and see how much you are getting you will not be disappointed!! This is a hidden restaurant that is worth the wait! You will wait for your pizza longer than normal but it is well worth it. My friend recently had the pizza here then travel to Paris and had pizza while there and said, there is no way it compared to 2nd Ave., Pizza! Wow, if you want a loaded pizza, this is definitely the way to go. They are extremely slow and don't bother to let you know that your pizza is ready when you are getting it to go but even after an hour long wait (only to discover my pizza had been sitting there for who knows how long) and bad service I still had to give 4 stars because it was so frickin tasty. I admit it, I am a pizza snob. I like it both ways though, so don't think I'm a prude. Thick and doughy, filled with toppings or thin and crispy, folding the only way to get it in. This was not enough of either for me to really FREAK OUT the way it seems that the rest of our friends and family do. We willingly went our first night in town to pick up a pie, and it was good and all, but nothing to shout about. Then, the next day, guess what was for lunch? Yup, DELICIOUS SECOND AVENUE PIZZA. It was good, again, but the more toppings you have, the better it seemed to taste. This was repeated until 4 times we were either fed this pizza or invited here to meet someone. Again, it's not bad, it's good, but NOT THAT GOOD. When I lived here, in this wicked little town, I thought this was pretty good pizza. Then I moved to the big city and became the pizza snob that stands before you now. We ordered a pizza to go on a Tuesday night. They told us 45 minutes for pick-up. We arrived at 45 minutes. Had to wait for 10 for the people in front of us to be served (they don't have a pick-up window, so you have to wait in line while they help all of the people that are ordering their meal for dine-in and for people looking to get refills on sodas). We ended up waiting 20 minutes. Slow service. One girl was doing it all, while several employees enjoyed standing around doing very little. Got the pizza and the thing was overflowing with toppings. Small, quaint pizza joint in Sandpoint. A few of the reviews I read (prior to showing up here) talked about bad customer service and wait times. However, my relative (who is a local) swears by their pizza so we had to try it out. Customer service: didn't have any problems. The counter staff was prompt, friendly, answered questions, and put up with some of our modifications without a problem. Wait: Wasn't too bad really. Maybe it's because I knew going in it might take a little longer than usual but we had our food in about 35 minutes. Pizza: Nothing to complain about. Ample amount of toppings, good sauce, even my picky kids had no problems to speak of. I thoroughly enjoyed the pizza and even had some for breakfast the next morning. We've been here a number of times before and since moving to the area. While we pretty much always get the Jukebox Special (highly recommended) I can attest, without perjury, that pretty much everything here is incredible. Last time we came in, we had my lactose intolerant sister in law along. She ordered a bacon, pineapple, mushroom and olive pizza, sans cheese, and it was unbelievable. I'd eat cheese on my pizza even if I was lactose intolerant (I don't think I am) and this anomalous disk of meat and incongruous fruits/veggies was amazing. The pizza is what I would describe as more American style pizza, not thin like NYC, and not deep dish like Chicago. All the same, it is substantial. A small Jukebox Special, with its abundance of mushrooms, olives, onions, pepperoni, and half dollar size chunks of spicy Italian sausage weighs easily five pounds. My wife and I couldn't finish it between us without leftovers. A small. Seriously, figure you're going to have leftovers. Prices are so good here, one wonders how they even turn a profit. On a prior visit, my dad was slack jawed with disbelief when he got the check, as he was certain he had been significantly undercharged. The atmosphere is nice, very inviting, particularly if you're an American Graffiti fan (the owner has signed AG movie memorabilia all over the place). It reminds me of the pizza parlors of my youth. Altogether a wonderful place. The staff appear to be family, or to operate like one, and the sense of warmth and welcome is apparent from the very moment you step up to the counter to place your order. My only complaint is that they are closed Mondays, which always ends up being the day we start craving a Jukebox and can't scratch the itch. Oh well. It's worth the wait to next time. This little place was overwhelmed with business when I arrived. It's a weird time with the corona virus scare. So I ordered and was told about 15 minutes and it turned out to be 35... the kids in the kitchen were buried in tickets. Ok so I get the pie and I literally mean pie. We have a large family, with a lot of differing tastes. Everyone gobbled up the pizzas we got, so that by itself gives 5 stars in my book. Pizza is one of those things that has a variety of costs as well, and you don't always get what you pay for, but we felt we certainly got our money's worth here. This is very good pizza. The only thing is it feels very fattening because the cheese layer is like a foot high (just kidding) along with everything else on the pizza.
