UPDATE: i went to the shop again to talk to sherry which was the mean employee and there was a new…read morelady there! she was the sweetest lady i have met her name was kathy i told her about it and she was so sweet and understanding and said she will talk to sherry because that was not okay wish every employee was this sweet! if you come here i recommend going on these days this is when kathy works wednesday thursday 4-7 saturday all day sunday 12-4 (old review) if i could rate this place zero stars i would‼‼ the lady who runs the store is so insanely rude, this was barely our second time in this shop we couldn't afford anything the first time unfortunately but this time i was in the shop with my boyfriend because i love antique and vintage items we were window shopping for the meantime to give him ideas of what to get me not kissing not hugging or anything we were in there for 30 minutes and keep in mind i was being very polite to her and smiling and i asked her what time they close and she said 7 and 20 minutes later she very confrontationally asked "i have to ask do you plan on staying till 7" which obviously not? and we went to the next section already uncomfortable seeing as she stares at us the entire time with a smug look on her face and 10 minutes later she went to us and while raising her voice said "okay you two out! youve done this to me before this isnt your place to be kissing and hugging get out now!" and i explained to her "we weren't doing anything" and she said "out now" and we left and im a sensitive person and that made me cry im a very polite person she had no reason to act that way towards us just because we are a young couple doesnt mean we are going to be kissing 24/7 i don't even allow public displays of affection she was very rude and fyi she never has customers its been over a month since i went before today and there was the exact same items as last time she only ever gets customers because of her slot machines. zero stars!!!

There was someone there already getting a watch battery replaced. So, while waiting, I walked around admiring their clocks and watches. They have quite a selection - great if you need a nice clock for yourself or as a gift. I took some pictures and a short video and posted them for you to see. When it was my turn, he took the watch and went in the back. It didn't take much more than five minutes for him to return with the watch working again! And the price was very reasonable, under $20. The clock has sentimental value to me, however the original cost of the clock was less than $10 long ago. I recommend asking the repair price before the repair work is done. I paid the $35 and would have been satisfied if the clock continued to work, but I would not have agreed to the initial $35 repair cost if known before the 2 minute repair and I won't be returning For the next $350 repair.

They are so friendly, welcoming and easy to work with! I've only had repairs done and made small purchases here but they treat me as a valued customer. I had a thin, gold-plated necklace with beads that had broken when it was taken off of the card that held it. The repair that was needed would most likely involve some form of soldering the two pieces together, and I had an amount in mind that I would be wiling to pay given that this is more of a "fun" piece and not fine jewelry. When I walked into New York Jewelers, I was promptly greeted and shown upstairs, to the repair area. The woman behind the counter took the necklace and consulted with a gentleman in the back. I had errands nearby to run, but decided to stick around to get an estimate of time and cost. Initially, I was told this could not be done, but it turned out that the two pieces were somehow able to be soldered together. The cherry on top of this experience is that all of this was done at no charge! The woman who helped me said that after the fusing procedure, a slight bump could be seen between the gold plated portion and a bead. What she was pointing out was imperceptible to my eye. I was so pleased with the level of service, speed, and professionalism that I will be back here to get a battery put in my watch and for any other repairs when the time comes.
