Dryer wasn't spinning, Anthony came by within a couple of hours well-prepared, and during his inspection of the dryer he found that by giving it a slight push it started spinning again. He then explained there are 4 rollers which may be becoming stuck and in the future may need work, and accepted that this was part of his free inspection and so did not charge for the repair. I bought a dryer off of Facebook marketplace and it was functioning fine until a few days later it wouldn't heat up. So the drying cycles would be cold. Paul came almost the next day for a free diagnostic which is awesome and low pressure as some of these other companies will try and charge you for a diagnostic. And then he fixed the issue on the same day. Showed me how gross the dryer was filled with lint and dust. And replaced sensors same day and within 2 hours it is working good as new. Dishwasher not draining. Victor came out same-day, quickly diagnosed the problem, and ran a cycle to double-check that the repair worked. What I especially appreciated was that, while we waited for the drain part of the cycle to kick in, Victor gave me an excellent lesson about how the machine worked and how it was hooked into the sink drainpipe, and about how to maintain the system. Requested a quote for oven+dishwasher+air conditioning system repair to one vendor, and Yelp automatically shared it with several vendors in my area. Second Life was one of the first to respond via Yelp's message feature. Very responsive. Had a technician out to my home the next day. (At the time) $0 for a visit and estimate, when other vendors were charging a minimum of $50 just to tell you what it'll cost (with fee applied to total cost). I felt like the technician was honest with me on the damage and costs, without trying to sell me on anything, and gave me the space I needed to think. They started work with 50% of the cost with deposit. I paid remaining balance upon completion of work with Zelle. Longest lead time was ordering specific parts needed to repair my appliances, which they were able to find for a 15-year old appliance. We have not needed to have them come back to adjust anything! I been having an issue with my refrigerator and was considering just getting it repaired versus buying a whole new one and I considered these guys, the guy came looked at my refrigerator and told me oh yeah it's going to be around 357$ just to have work on my refrigerator, for hours (which wasn't the problem) then he tells me oh we don't have the part but we have it at the warehouse and says oh he's going to come back in a hour (more than an hour later) he returns takes longer than expected again (mind you I hear YouTube or some sort of tutorial video in the background) as he is fixing it. Takes all that time just to tell me oh it's completely shot and it's going to cost 1k to fix it and still had the nerve to charge me the service fee of 59$. Personally I do not suggest these people at all and you should definitely consider someone else read more
