I love this place! Good variety on their rotating drafts. Kid and dog friendly. There's usually a food truck or two out here slinging great eats. The patio is gorgeous! But it can get hot. Usually their only air conditioned room is booked for private events but they have fans to help keep the other peasants I mean patrons cool. Fun spot to spend a Saturday!

The beautiful NOLA weather is here and the beers are EXTRA COLD here !!! This place never disappoints... Great beer, amazing pop up activities, and Fests throughout the year; this place is always a good time

Love hanging out at Beau's bar!! The brews are grand, the servers and people are lovely and always a good hang, and Beau in his magnificence and munificence and all encompassing omnipotent magnanimity lets us stay and enjoy this lovely space and brewery! We love you Beau! (And second line!)

The bartenders were very friendly. I liked that you could sample the beers if you weren't sure what you wanted. We settled on the Rose sour beer and the Grapefruit Radler. Both were very good! I would definitely return.

I was given the responsibility of throwing a party for several teachers and volunteers that support them in New Orleans. I spoke with Ashley to set up this party who was a pleasure to work with. She explained everything clearly and the service was top notch. The day of the event I arrived 30-minutes ahead of time. On site I had the wonderful Erica and Josh helping me. We ended up having a wonderful turnout of teachers and volunteers. The venue itself lends itself to conversation and relaxing. I had the opportunity to taste several different beers too. Second Line has great brews, a great atmosphere, and great service. I'm always happy to work with organizations that invest in their communities. Second Line definitely does and I'll be happy to throw an event here again.

Second line is my favorite neighborhood brewery. It is also my first neighborhood brewery, but I have since been to many and none are like second line. The atmosphere feels exactly like it should. When you go you see your neighbors and their family and friends. You can feel it in the air. They have a large outdoor space that has only grown with new picnic tables so people can spread out more. As far as the beer I don't think they've ever had a swing and a miss. I like a little bit of everything so I'm always trying their new batches and it's always on point. On top of that they have a different food pop up every day of the week. They host everything from, burgers, to banh mi, to crawfish, to fried chicken. It's great to go to a place you love and have new things to try. Keeps it interesting. I haven't experienced it yet, but they just started a trivia night I'm dying to go to. Just working on putting my team together. See you soon second line, and then probably soon again after that, and after that.

I'm outdoorsy. I like to drink on patios.

Deep in the heart of Mid-City, off Iberville and N. Bernadotte, Second Line Brewing is one of our favorite breweries for a few reasons. -They offer a delicious and varied selection of craft beers, both in draft, for consumption on premises, and canned beer, To-Go. -The have a great set up with outdoor seating to enjoy a beautiful day, and some indoor seating as well. -They host a changing selection of Food Trucks and Pop-Up food vendors. -They are not WAY uptown like SO MANY breweries in this city. Thank You Second Line for Brewing Amazing beers in Mid-City!!!

Good little brewery in NOLA. Came here on a Saturday afternoon and there was a good amount of people drinking beer and watching the NFL playoff game in the beer garden. My friends and I were on a mini brewery tour of NOLA so I got a flight. Good selection of different types of beer. All were very good. My favorite was the Juicy IPA (Nectaron Collider). Service was very quick and the bartender was knowledgeable about the beer. Let my friends try a few samples before they ordered a pint. They had a food truck on site if you needed a bite to eat.

Awesome brewery in Mid City with tons outdoor seating and great food truck partners. Great place to hang with friends enjoy some beers and watch the game since they have a few screens.

It had been a while since I've stopped into second line. They have a nice outdoor area which is laidback with picnic tables, a few tvs, dog friendly and various food trucks. The beers are quality and service was nice. I enjoyed the neighborhood feel and the other patrons were all friendly and chatting from table to table.

Our favorite neighborhood hangout spot! It's located in a large warehouse that has a ton of seating outside as well as inside. We frequently bring our dog with us and there are usually a few other pups hanging out there as well. For those with children, they often have a bounce house set up inside as well as an outdoor play area with toys. Coming from a former non-beer drinker, the beer is phenomenal (just took me coming here and doing some tasting to figure out what I like and don't like). I tend to favor the dark beers and some of my favorites are the Ka-Kow and Sweet Reverence. They have a rotation of beers they keep on tap and they always have new offerings. While they don't serve food, most days they have a food truck or pop-up restaurant onsite. Southerns is usually there on Thursdays serving their amazing fried chicken sandwiches. Overall, this is our favorite place in the neighborhood to go enjoy good weather, cold beers, and a rotation of food trucks/pop-ups.

It's a casual hangout place in Metairie. Lots of beer options and I guess their name derived from the famous Second Line dancing. They have an awesome outdoor patio. They do not have severs or I guess they did not have service that day. I was here around 6pm and as I entered I noticed a small food truck right next to this brewery. Since this place does not have food, the truck is a great option for food. Since they do not have servers, you have to go to the bar tender and order your drinks. I really like medley beer. It's a local lager style light beer. Since I was very hungry I also ordered aioli fries from the food truck. I also heard from my friends that they have crawfish on some weekends. Great place to hangout with friends or if your alone you can use their free WiFi to browse the internet. They also have one TV where you can request for any channel you want only if most of the other customers do not care about it.

When we arrived, we found plenty of outdoor seating, which was perfect for our group of six. We settled in, grabbed some drinks, and shared chicken wings and nachos while we enjoyed the atmosphere. Ordering food was easy, too. We were able to place our order outside at the kitchen, and they gave us a pager that let us know when our food was ready for pickup. There's also an indoor bar where we ordered our drinks and were able to keep everything on one tab. The beer selection was extensive, and they even have a number of cocktails available "on tap," which was a fun surprise. We were quite impressed with Wrong Iron and will definitely be back!

Once the sun went down and the temperature started dropping, they turned it on and it was perfect. It kept us warm and made the whole setup even better. There was crawfish being sold, and of course I had to get some. It was so good and definitely added to the experience. The place was packed because of the game, but the bar inside moved surprisingly fast. There were plenty of bartenders working, so I didn't have to wait long at all. The crowd here is always friendly, which makes a big difference during big events like this. I really enjoyed myself watching the game. The only thing I wish they had was a few blankets available since it does get chilly outside at night. Also, no pets were allowed because of how large the crowd was for the Super Bowl, which makes sense. I've brought my dog before on regular visits and can't wait to bring her back again. Wrong Iron always delivers a good time. I'll definitely be back.

I went to Covington Beer Garden with friends for some holiday day drinking and eating. You know,…read morethe kind of thing civilized people do when they have a day off and no real responsibilities for a few hours. I had been wanting to try this place, and overall I am glad I did. First, the place itself is pretty great. Lots of seating, a cool inside area, a nice outside area, and a setup that makes you want to hang out for a while. This is not one of those places where you walk in, have one drink, and immediately start wondering where else you should go. It feels like a place built for staying. The staff was friendly too, which matters when you are there with a group and everyone is ordering different things, moving around, and generally being a mild inconvenience. Now, about the drinks. The selection was solid. Not bad at all. But with "Beer Garden" in the name, I expected a little more beer. Maybe that is unfair. Maybe I am being too literal. But if you call yourself a beer garden, I am going to expect a beer list that makes me stop and think for a minute. This one did not quite do that. That said, the frozen drinks were fun and would be great in the summer heat. But the food. The food was excellent. I do not know that I expected the food to be the best part, but it may have been. The chicken sandwich special was outstanding, the cheese fries were exactly the kind of bad decision that makes you proud of yourself, and the pulled pork bahn mi was really, really good. I would go back for the food alone, which is not something I expected to say about a beer garden. Overall, Covington Beer Garden is a very good spot. Cool venue, friendly staff, fun drinks, and better food than it probably needs to have. I wish the beer list was a little more expansive, but that is really my only complaint. I will definitely be back.

Beer Garden Review 2…read more Hospitality isn't complicated. It's making people feel like guests instead of table numbers. And Mid City Beer Garden didn't skip that part. In fact, the way we were treated says more about the character of this place than the food ever could. I use a cane, so I now have three legs--well, four if you count my beautiful husband! After our HVAC decided to abandon us in the middle of this heat wave, we figured the best way to beat the temperature was to escape to Mid City Beer Garden in Baton Rouge for some cold drinks, good food, and hopefully a little relief. When we walked in, we were warmly greeted. I immediately noticed the high seating and explained my situation, asking if a booth was available. The beautiful young lady greeter checked and told us it would be about a 15-minute wait. After just escaping our sweltering house, we weren't sure we wanted to wait that long. Then the handsome young gentleman greeter said, "Let me make sure." About five minutes later, he came back with the best news: "We have a booth for you!" That small gesture meant a lot. They didn't simply tell us to wait--they took the time to find a comfortable seating option for me. We immediately felt welcomed and appreciated. We visited in the evening, and the atmosphere was exactly what we needed. The evening vibe was spot-on--industrial meets modern, softened by greenery, warm lighting, string lights, and neon. Think laid-back European beer garden, but effortlessly cool. At night, the place really came alive without losing that cozy, inviting feel. Beer lovers, don't skip the main bar. The custom tap wall is a total vibe, with a solid lineup of beers and plenty of personality. Our waitress continued that same level of hospitality. She was attentive, friendly, and provided that kind of service where the smile feels genuine rather than part of the uniform. But then came the moment that really impressed me. I ordered a 10 oz. Sapporo, but somehow received a 16 oz. I didn't even notice the difference. When we were getting ready to pay, our waitress came over and told us about the blunder-- noting we would only be charged for the 10 oz. Now THAT is honesty. We've been to establishments where billing mistakes seem to mysteriously work in the restaurant's favor. So having someone actually point out an error that benefited us--and make sure we weren't overcharged--was refreshing. Speaking of the food... We ordered the shrimp po'boy. It certainly looked loaded with shrimp, but was skimpy and unfortunately, it fell short for us. The shrimp was flavorful, but overcooked. The bread was thick and dense, so I eventually found myself eating only the shrimp and leaving the rest of the sandwich behind. The fries were tasty, but they didn't have that hot, fresh-out-of-the-oil crispiness we were hoping for, so we only ate a few. Would I order the shrimp po'boy again? Probably not. I'm only speaking for the two people at our table--and we're not professional food critics, just two hungry people with opinions! Now, the real highlight of our visit... We met the most beautiful soul. My husband suddenly says, "Look, there's a really tall young man sitting behind you." I turned around, stood up, and said, "My husband said you're really tall. Can I take a picture with you?" He was so sweet and gracious and took a picture with me. And let me tell you--that absolutely made my night! I told him he was beautiful, and he responded, "You are beautiful too!" I disagreed with him, of course. He looked at me and said, "No, ma'am. You are beautiful." Well... alright then! You win. Naturally, I had questions. I asked if he played basketball. "Yes, for Southern University." I asked his jersey number. "Number 22." I told him, "Well, I'm coming to see you play!" And that young man gave me one of the biggest, brightest smiles I've ever seen on a basketball player. So, y'all... if you get out to Southern University and A&M College this season, go show #22 some love and cheer him on. Who knows? We might be looking at a future NBA champion! We had a wonderful evening at Mid City Beer Garden. Eventually, we went back home to a house that had finally cooled down and enjoyed the rest of our evening loving on each other. Thank you, Mid City Beer Garden, for giving us a place to escape the heat, relax, laugh, eat, drink, and make a memory. And most of all... Thank you, Number 22, for honoring an old lady's wishes. Some nights are about the food. Some nights are about the atmosphere. And some nights, you just happen to meet a beautiful souls who makes the whole evening unforgettable.
