I love this place! Good variety on their rotating drafts. Kid and dog friendly. There's usually a food truck or two out here slinging great eats. The patio is gorgeous! But it can get hot. Usually their only air conditioned room is booked for private events but they have fans to help keep the other peasants I mean patrons cool. Fun spot to spend a Saturday!

The beautiful NOLA weather is here and the beers are EXTRA COLD here !!! This place never disappoints... Great beer, amazing pop up activities, and Fests throughout the year; this place is always a good time

Love hanging out at Beau's bar!! The brews are grand, the servers and people are lovely and always a good hang, and Beau in his magnificence and munificence and all encompassing omnipotent magnanimity lets us stay and enjoy this lovely space and brewery! We love you Beau! (And second line!)

The bartenders were very friendly. I liked that you could sample the beers if you weren't sure what you wanted. We settled on the Rose sour beer and the Grapefruit Radler. Both were very good! I would definitely return.

I was given the responsibility of throwing a party for several teachers and volunteers that support them in New Orleans. I spoke with Ashley to set up this party who was a pleasure to work with. She explained everything clearly and the service was top notch. The day of the event I arrived 30-minutes ahead of time. On site I had the wonderful Erica and Josh helping me. We ended up having a wonderful turnout of teachers and volunteers. The venue itself lends itself to conversation and relaxing. I had the opportunity to taste several different beers too. Second Line has great brews, a great atmosphere, and great service. I'm always happy to work with organizations that invest in their communities. Second Line definitely does and I'll be happy to throw an event here again.

Second line is my favorite neighborhood brewery. It is also my first neighborhood brewery, but I have since been to many and none are like second line. The atmosphere feels exactly like it should. When you go you see your neighbors and their family and friends. You can feel it in the air. They have a large outdoor space that has only grown with new picnic tables so people can spread out more. As far as the beer I don't think they've ever had a swing and a miss. I like a little bit of everything so I'm always trying their new batches and it's always on point. On top of that they have a different food pop up every day of the week. They host everything from, burgers, to banh mi, to crawfish, to fried chicken. It's great to go to a place you love and have new things to try. Keeps it interesting. I haven't experienced it yet, but they just started a trivia night I'm dying to go to. Just working on putting my team together. See you soon second line, and then probably soon again after that, and after that.

I'm outdoorsy. I like to drink on patios.

Deep in the heart of Mid-City, off Iberville and N. Bernadotte, Second Line Brewing is one of our favorite breweries for a few reasons. -They offer a delicious and varied selection of craft beers, both in draft, for consumption on premises, and canned beer, To-Go. -The have a great set up with outdoor seating to enjoy a beautiful day, and some indoor seating as well. -They host a changing selection of Food Trucks and Pop-Up food vendors. -They are not WAY uptown like SO MANY breweries in this city. Thank You Second Line for Brewing Amazing beers in Mid-City!!!

Good little brewery in NOLA. Came here on a Saturday afternoon and there was a good amount of people drinking beer and watching the NFL playoff game in the beer garden. My friends and I were on a mini brewery tour of NOLA so I got a flight. Good selection of different types of beer. All were very good. My favorite was the Juicy IPA (Nectaron Collider). Service was very quick and the bartender was knowledgeable about the beer. Let my friends try a few samples before they ordered a pint. They had a food truck on site if you needed a bite to eat.

Awesome brewery in Mid City with tons outdoor seating and great food truck partners. Great place to hang with friends enjoy some beers and watch the game since they have a few screens.

It had been a while since I've stopped into second line. They have a nice outdoor area which is laidback with picnic tables, a few tvs, dog friendly and various food trucks. The beers are quality and service was nice. I enjoyed the neighborhood feel and the other patrons were all friendly and chatting from table to table.

Our favorite neighborhood hangout spot! It's located in a large warehouse that has a ton of seating outside as well as inside. We frequently bring our dog with us and there are usually a few other pups hanging out there as well. For those with children, they often have a bounce house set up inside as well as an outdoor play area with toys. Coming from a former non-beer drinker, the beer is phenomenal (just took me coming here and doing some tasting to figure out what I like and don't like). I tend to favor the dark beers and some of my favorites are the Ka-Kow and Sweet Reverence. They have a rotation of beers they keep on tap and they always have new offerings. While they don't serve food, most days they have a food truck or pop-up restaurant onsite. Southerns is usually there on Thursdays serving their amazing fried chicken sandwiches. Overall, this is our favorite place in the neighborhood to go enjoy good weather, cold beers, and a rotation of food trucks/pop-ups.

What a change in atmosphere; groovy music & mumbly conversations to pure quietness and hearing everybody's voices. It was still a great experience. After about 15 minutes indoors with no a/c (IYKYK), the New Orleans heat caused us to head to the outdoor beer garden. It had rained a little bit, so it was a little cooler. FORTUNATELY, beer was still able to be poured, and the power was back on by the time the second beer was half gone. Aside from all that excitement, the focus is on the tasty beer created here. The two beers I had were great: Malcolm in the Mittlefruh and Helles Knows I'm Miserable Now (which I'm positive Morrissey would love - or would he just cry in it?). Kudos to the clever people that come up with the names! There is also a kitchen, but a belly still full from lunch, and no power meant no orders from us. Next time!

I, of course, had to have an IPA and I got in as a 0.5L (closest to a pint). The flavor was good with a good hoppy taste to it. This is a great place to chill with friends and enjoy some nice beers. Unlike most breweries, I don't think Courtyard has a signature beer, there are no standards Jucifer or Paradise Park. They just make new stuff all the time, then run out of it, and brew something else. I think I have seen Sonic Youth in 1983 there more than once so maybe that's the closest thing. Regardless I am saying this as a good thing because every time I go, there is something knew. Courtyard is like the ultimate dive bar of breweries. There is a pop-up style kitchen that has held a variety of eateries over the years that used to include Burger Nerds and now has a taco place. There is mismatch furniture throughout the indoors and front courtyard. Most of the seating looks like they robbed a daycare. There is a couple of tv's, a piano, bullfighting art, an eclectic record collection and tons of plants outside. All of this gives Courtyard it's charm. The people are awesome, the place is comfortable and the beer is always great.

The walk there was pretty easy...I was concerned it might get a little dicey by the interstate underpass but it really didn't. My bar is usually pretty low for breweries because they are usually run on a shoestring by a group of guys that really love beer but don't always know how to run a business. This place is a weird, eclectic vibe. The furniture and overall vibe is pretty dumpy. The bar is even super wobbly. The beer list they have online indicating it is their current list was in no way related to the beer selection they actually had available. It was super limited with a lot of IPAs and sours. Not my jam. The is a food vendor on site as well; they have burritos, quesadillas, etc. it looked okay, but i wasn't in the mood for Mexican style food. Overall, it's fine. I like to try new places. I'm glad I stopped in but i wouldn't go back.

Walking up from the water the first thing you see is this gigantic New Orleans mural and it's indicative of the brewery inside the same building - huge warehouse, it even has camper parked inside with a bar that extends much of the back wall. There are picnic tables so plenty of seating. I was there an early Monday afternoon so it wasn't busy at all, but I could imagine it being filled with lines to satisfy throngs of partygoers. There are five vertically placed flat-panel monitors with a variety of drink-menu options. I chose to get a flight of beers I hadn't had previously which ended up being 4 varietals of their King Cake Ale: * Cake Ale - Pale Ale - Other 6% - Creamy pale, almost registers as a fruited sour, sweet body with notes of almond, amaretto, cinnamon and vanilla. 4/5 * Coconut King Cake Ale - Pale Ale - Other 6% - Milky coconut in this almost tart King Cale ale, getting notes of both raw and toasted coconut, almond, amaretto, sweet vanilla and cinnamon. 4.3/5 * Almond Crème Strawberry King Cake Ale - Pale Ale - Other 6% - Creamy body with distinct almond note followed by vanilla and cinnamon. 4.2/5 * Strawberry King Cake Ale - Pale Ale - Other 6% - Fruity tart strawberry in this pale ale, finishes fruity and sweet, a touch dry. 4.1/5 Overall I enjoyed the beers I had - all very drinkable. The cinnamon was a bit much all at once, these are almost dessert beers and better taken in small amounts after you've slammed a few of their staple beers, in my opinion, but I'm still very glad I had them. The staff and service was good with an efficient demeanor - I think if they were slightly friendlier I might have stuck around and tried more of what they offered but as my second brewery (and plans for more exploration in the evening) I decided to keep things neat with this single flight. Afterwards I walked back up to St Charles and took a short nap and got cleaned up for evening shenanigans.

Holy Roller Hazy IPA is a great standard that I get in bars and buy in stores for the house from time to time. Upon my last visit, I got a flight that included their seasonal King Cake flavored sours. They had coconut, almond, strawberry and regular ( I think). During Mardi Gras if you want to brave the crowds on a Saturday, you can pair them with slices of King Cake from Doung Phong bakery. Urban South is a large warehouse with cool decor, pinball machines and tons of picnic tables. There are also 4-5 picnic tables outside along with a permanent food truck. They also bring in other food vendors from time to time and have crawfish boils all the time in season. My only issue with the place is if the garage doors are down, the place can smell like...well a brewery. Breweries do not smell good and Urban South's tap room is not separated from the rest of the brewery.
