I would give a zero if it was possible. I have been trying to get my car picked up for 1 month. I refuse to put a deposit. Because the car was supposed to be picked up five different times. It was never picked up and when I keep asking them for an update they keep telling me they're working on it, which they are not. Because another company was able to get a driver within 24 hours. This is not a reliable company I would never recommend it to anyone and being told over and over to calm down was the biggest mistake they ever made with me. Whatever you do, DO NOT utilize Secure Auto Shipping to arrange for shipment of your vehicle. In my case, they hired a shady trucking company, Astra Lines, Inc., to transport my car from AZ to VA. At pick-up, the driver prepared a fraudulent Bill of Lading and I had to argue with them to get a valid one. The car was picked up 6/8 and obligated to be in VA by 6/11-6/12. When 6/12 came and went, I reached out to Secure Auto Shipping and was told it was now delayed until 6/14-6/15. Despite the fraud at the start of the adventure, I didn't lose my cool. However, when 6/15 came, I'd still heard nothing so I reached out and was told the car would be delivered by end of day. By 8pm that day, I'd still not gotten any coordination/word from the driver (who never answers his phone and has no voice mail set up). So, I reached out again. This time I was lied to and told their trailer had broken down in NC. I pressed multiple times for the repair shop location where they claimed the trailer to be. But when I called the repair shop, neither the trailer nor my car were there. Later, we were able to determine they had my car in a residential neighborhood in Philadelphia. As of this point, the car has been reported as stolen and Secure Auto Shipping is refusing to help, having blocked all calls and texts. They've done nothing to assist or to pressure Astra Lines into recovering the car. Even their founder/CEO, Christopher Narcisse, refuses to respond to calls/texts/emails. I cannot emphasize strongly enough that Secure Auto Shipping CANNOT be trusted. They hire the lowest priced trucking companies to pocket as much of the shipping fee as they can, then claim no accountability when things go wrong. I own a classic corvette and Ross quoted me a price for my shipment from Northern, CA to Winston Salem NC and committed that he could get me a auto carrier at this price.(1025.00) In the last three days before my travel back east to meet the carrier, they begin contacting me with quotes above the 1025.00, ultimately waiting until the last 3 hours of my final business day deadline to call with a quote at 1325.00. I love cars, and happened to buy a 2002 Subaru Impreza RS a few weeks ago from facebook marketplace. The car was about an hour away from my hometown and needed to be towed so I could repair in my garage. (Plus, I don't know manual.) From the start he had always been very direct and communicative with me about the price and timeframe for my car to be shipped. Anyways, the day comes when I have to pay the deposit. I pay it, and only AFTER DOING SO did I look at Yelp and see all of the awful experiences people have had. So in this moment, I was kinda worried now thinking that Mike was gonna ghost me and take my deposit with no tow showing up on the day it was supposed to be there. Well, I called Mike, (I was already pissed off), and he answered. I told him how sketchy this all seemed and basically asked him if he was gonna scam me. He essentially assured me I could count on him. I was still skeptical. The day of the tow comes, and other than the driver being late and postponing a few hours, it went off without a hitch. Communication was seamless with both the driver and Mike at all times, the car was not damaged at all and was delivered to my house the same day. I believe it comes more down to the driver assigned to you rather than Secure Auto Shipping themselves, I don't know. If you are thinking of shipping a car, ask for Billy, he was very open and able to get a hold of whenever I needed him. If you ever need to ship a car - THIS IS THE WORST AUTOMOTIVE SHIPPING COMPANY OUT THERE! We are trying to get my daughter's car to her so she has it to move on to her next duty assignment and the experience has been a nightmare! First, the driver is the most obnoxious and rude human I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with and the Broker, we dealt with, Mike Moss out of FL has ghosted us since this whole ordeal started. The driver was supposed to be here on Monday morning, he showed up Sunday evening. He wouldn't come to the house, but instead insisted I bring the car to him at the entrance of our neighborhood... not a huge deal in the scheme of things. When the driver arrived in California, he called my daughter and told her that she would have to meet him at midnight TWO HOURS away from the agreed upon drop off location. Ashleigh, needing/wanting her car, worked with her command to make the arrangements just to have the SOB tell her, "sorry, it will be more like 4am". Well that was just not acceptable and after many back and forth conversations with him... usually one sided, because he does not listen, she told him to get her car to her at the original location by 2100 (curfew) and went back to base and to bed. This morning at 0430 (0130 for Ashleigh), I received another call - he did it again! They were at the agreed upon location and he was of course, very late, but kept telling her he would be there "soon" and when she insisted he send her his location, he was still more than 2 hours out. Terrible customer service. No accountability. I signed contract for a driver to ship car from Arizona to Florida. Driver canceled 12 hours prior to pick up. This was after trying to book a driver for more than a week. Driver wasn't booked until a few days before my departure date, so it was also difficult to plan and book a plane ticket. That ticket cost me 3x what it normally would have due to last minute purchase. All of it was so uncertain, sketchy, and last minute. Company still encouraged me to fly home and that my car could likely get shipped by someone within a few day. My "contract was with driver, not Secure auto shipping". Company never changed pick up location per my directions and found another driver which cost me more money, but was wrong pick up location . Again , no accountability. Now I'm in FL without a vehicle. Find a third driver at an additional $500 (total $1750) my expense and I receive my car 11 days later than was originally contracted for. I had to rent a vehicle for a week at great expense because it happens to be spring break now. Original sales person won't email me back. I've asked to speak with a supervisor multiple times. Crickets. I wasn't told about a $250 "reservation fee" being in addition to the originally quoted price/bid. Crickets. They have their "reservation fee" and don't care/no responsibility about anything else. I'll never ever ship a vehicle again . Never. Terrible, shady experience that cost me $2500 more than if I had just driven home and $1500 more than I had originally been told to expect. If you care about customer service or about accountability or communication or really about anything related to the customer experience at all, I suggest you steer clear of hiring SAS. From the get-go, communication was extremely poor. I always had to call and ask where my car was, when it would be picked up, why it was late in being picked up, why I wasn't informed, how to get in touch with the driver etc. Multiple requests for information went without response. It gets exhausting. If you pay someone for their service, you shouldn't have to do that amount of legwork. I know that shipping brokers are only as good as the drivers they hire, but it sounds like SAS hires the cheapest and does not care about integrity. The driver refused to deliver the car to my door as agreed. And then actually tried to increase the price on me to extract a few extra bucks for himself on delivery! And then got all threatening with me, with "You don't need your car? Ok, no problem." This is wildly unacceptable!! And SAS was NO help at all in managing this problem. Many times I called and left messsages, if he cant respond right away, I always get a text from him informing me when he will call me back. Called them to ship my car up from FL to NY. Waited a few days for a driver. Finally got one, but then the truck broke down. (I paid $100 as a deposit for that delivery). They said wait 5 days and the truck will be fixed, or we can find you a new one. Well, 5 days came and went and no answer. 6 days. 7 days etc.. now I've waited 11 days for my car and it's still sitting in Florida. I tried to get my refund and they gave me push back for it, when no service was conducted. Eventually they blacklist your number and Mike Moss, the dispatchers and customer service ignore your calls. I had to download a Google Voice number with a different area code just to get him to pick up. Ridiculous. My experience with secure auto shipping was mostly positive, but it went a little left at the end. Much like the lady prior, when it came time for them to be held accountable I was unable to reach them. However, When it was time to give my down-payment they never let my calls/emails go unanswered. Dimitri was my broker. In the beginning he was most helpful and answered all of my questions and even went out of his way to educate me about the world of auto transport. They weren't the cheapest, but I went with them because of his outstanding customer service and the fact that they offered door to door delivery service, at least that's what they advertised. My car was picked up on June 13th in California by a1 auto trans and arrived in Maryland only 3 days later. Sounds good right? I will admit, the service was really quick however, when it came time for delivery they told me I would have to pick it up myself. When I told the dispatcher that Dimitri guaranteed door to door service, he told me straight up "yeah that's just something brokers advertise to get business". After giving much push back he told me the driver could drive my car to me but I would have to drive him back to his truck, which is what I ended up doing. Although the driver was polite, I still felt uncomfortable as a woman driving alone in a car in a new city where I know no one with a strange truck driver. I called Dimitri and sent him an email to voice my concern and I have yet to receive a reply. Not that the reply would mean much because both parties already have my money, but I feel like an apology would've at least soothed my feelings. He charged my cc $275 saying he found me a truck. When I saw the charge on my statement I demanded a refund and asked our "taped" conversation be reviewed. I've left many many messages , with so called managers and accounting dept ( if there is one)... no one will return my call. I've now gone and disputed the rip off charge with my cc company. I was never informed there was any sort of delay with the 3rd party company (Olympia Auto Transportation) until the 10 days had gone by & I called asking where my vehicle was which is totally unacceptable. The arrival date kept getting pushed back with no offer of compensation! I got this phone number from my car lease broker but I should have come to Yelp and see these bad reviews. My brand new car was at a dealer's shop, which was 3.5 hours away from my house. The track driver picked up my car at the dearer Friday night. I was told that it will be a next day delivery, so I was waiting for the whole Saturday. No one called me. I called them on Saturday afternoon. The customer service number led me to "dispatching" by pressing 2. I did it. The guy who answered the phone said he has no idea where the driver is at. If he works as a "dispatching" guy, he was supposed to find out driver's location. Instead, he said he doesn't know. On that day, I called the number 3 times, and each time, this useless "dispatching" guy answered the phone and kept saying he has no idea. My car arrived to my place on Monday. When the track driver came, he said Secure Auto Shipping told him to deliver my car by Monday, which was the different story I was initially told by this company. UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNACCOUNTABLE!!! I am writing this review about Secure Auto Shipping. This company arranged the shipment of my vehicle, first with a land transport, then ocean shipment. At the time of booking I didn't realize this company only served as a broker with two other companies. They charged me a fee of $465 for this service. The problem occurred when they arranged for the truck transfer. Their agent arranged for my car to be COD, cash on delivery, in California knowing I was in Hawaii. The trucking company contacted me asking me how I was going to get cash to their company because they don't except payments from Secure Auto Shipping. When I contacted Secure Auto Shipping for assistance and explanation, the representative said, "sorry our agent had done this before... Do you have any way to get cash to the trucking company" When I asked why this became my problem when it was their mistake, he told me to give him a little time to try to figure it out. Well the next day, with the trucking company still calling me for payment that should have been handled by Secure Auto Shipping, every subsequent attempt to contact them has failed. When setting up the booking, my calls were answered almost every time , since, I have been unable to get through via the phone and have not received a response from them via email, text nor message through their website. Ultimately I had to go obtain a money order and send through express mail to the trucking company and wait an extra week for my car to be released to the shipping company. I have since had to contact the shipping company on my own to arrange payment and get info on the status of my car. My big question is what exactly did I pay $465 to Secure Auto Shipping for??
